For Paddock contact Gaurav Patrekar on fb,as per his claims he is the one supplying paddocks to the ASCs.
For chain tightening you will need few good quality ring spanners, check the sizes which you will need & get them first.
If you are a guy who loves DIY & ready to blacken your hands nothing like it for the health of the bike, but first collect all the necessery info needed for the job.
There is not much apart from chain tightening, chain lubing, clutch cable play adjustment & other checks of oil & fluids & bike cleaning in DIY.Honda pretty much took care of other things by providing trouble free bike.
Can post detailed pics & comprehensive info for chain tightening & other basic DIY jobs but first get the tools required.

Re: Honda CBR 250R
I have recently bought a Studds Scorpion helmet...
It's a decent helmet.... air vents, nice cushioning, and easily removable visor for cleaning.
I got it for Rs. 1750/- here in Chandigarh....
I have the HRC Tri colour and was going to buy the white colour of helmet but settled with black because white looked to flashy...

Scratches on silencer guard are quite an eyesore specially for new owners, insted of removing or repainting it cover it in a good quality VINYL ,lots of colours are available & normally a No. plate making person does it or will atleast guide you to the person who does it.Originally posted by Rubal View PostCan anyone suggest good scratch remover or polish...My CBR got something like scratched on silencer guard. and its jus because of shoes prints. i don't know how to remove it..if possible. Haven't you heard of cleaning air filters ? be it paper element of foam element ? Cause i have and have even seen it and even did it(foam element), Now since you are thinking that paper element filter is not needed to be cleaned, you remove the filter and use a blow dryer to blow away the dust from it, but what i needed to know is how to work my way around the tank, which needs to be placed properly, which i don't know.
So please don't be judgmental first before trying to understand why I asked for a DIY link in the first place.
and this 12k limit you say, it is just a common figure, i live in a area which is highly dusty, so the limit might be much earlier than usual, and regarding reading manual, i have that covered, did that before getting the vehicle(had an soft copy), owners manual does have a lot of details, many are subjected to variation depending on the environment or way you use the bike, might as well add that don't blindly follow the manual.
I do have the tools required, i asked for a step by step procedure explained thread was in existence or not. And I am very much a DIY preferring person.

Whatever you do the heat sheild will get the scratches...I have tried to keep it scretch proof many a times but failed. If you so concerned, get yourself the black heat sheild which comes with the 2013 model CBRs. I am planning to do the same.Originally posted by Pruthviraj View PostScratches on silencer guard are quite an eyesore specially for new owners, insted of removing or repainting it cover it in a good quality VINYL ,lots of colours are available & normally a No. plate making person does it or will atleast guide you to the person who does it.
OT: Guys, need a suggestion. How would black alloys look in the tr-color bike. You can see the color in my profile pic. The silver alloys gets spoilt everytime a lube my bike's chain. So planning to convert it into black.Siddhartha

My only grouse with that new paintjob is they should have kept the base colour of the tail white, not red.Originally posted by krish2778 View PostSomething like this

Check page no 56 & 57 of owner`s manual where they have specifically asked not to clean air filter with compressed air, cbr`s air filter is not plain paper filter it has got some oil applied on it,remove your rear seat by key, remove front seat by using 5 no allen key, remove filter cover by using philips screwdriver, the filter is there, you will need to press two tabs of the filter to realease it from the housing, check if it is plain paper filter or foam filter which requires cleaning.

i had the same situation of feeling that 12k is too long interval for the filter so i change is at second servive i.e 6k and then checked again at 12k.. i still have the 6k filter
and compared both with now close oto 17k at odo.. no diffrence found.. use it for like 10k and dump it.. not an expensive part.. 300 bucks..
diy change.. 5 minutes work..

And I thought CBR250's chain is 525 pitch.
It really is a pain in the ass but then spending about 4k for a paddock stand for lubing is more painful.
I was using LS2 diamod which I bought during my ZMA days. Recently bought a Sparx Pow helmet to match with my tri-color CBR. Would suggest to prefer for full face helmet rather than modular.
here is the details.. contact this guy and tell him zohair or aman ( thats me ) .. supplies stands to lot of dealer.. will give for 2k and realy good stands... (8976413804 ) he is available on whatsapp as well..

the bike's giving me a FE of 27 KMPL in city and around 33-35 on highway...
so far no expenses on any part of the bike which makes it so much VFM
only cons about the bike is its exhaust shield which is prone to scratches..
The bike still manages to turn heads in traffic <3

+ 1 for this..
chain cleaning and lubing is basic work guys and we plan for tours and all with our steed some or the other day we will have to do it..
there is fun to clean our ride and savings too..
get a stand ..if still 2k expensive.. get it made from a local welding shop wont cost more than 700 bucks..
other alternative... find a rod/wood pole of like 1.5 feet. let the bike be on side stand.. just tilt it a bit so that the tyre is in air and then push the rod under the
other side of swingarm.. it is risky but does the job..
use old toothbrush and diesel/kerosene to clean the chain throughly.. clean it / scrub it till it drips.. start the engine.. tilt the bike and let go in second gear. will throw off
all the extra fluid.. let it dry and just lube it well..
regarding the alloys getting dirty.. just dip a cloth in diesel/kerosene and wipe it throughly and then wipe with w dry cloth..
things needed..
150ml diesel - 15 rs..
one dirty cloth - free
one spare cloth -free else 5 bucks..
your time and intrest..- depends on you...
for chain slack.. ring spanner (taparia) these are real good quality ones.. size i guess should be 23/22.. and another spanner for size 8/10..
loosen the main nut and check the tyre alignment.. while rotating the wheel check the chain slack.. increase or decrease accordingly.
you wont get it right first time but trust me.. you will get these very soon... really soon..
no point to ride to ASC for 10 km then they doing a f***** up job and pay them 300-400 bucks alongside for that too.."A good long ride can clear your mind, restore your faith, and use up a lot of fuel."

Re: Honda CBR 250R
I bought Vega in Feb, with ISI mark, for 3.2K. It is holding OK. I guess it looks similar to Axor series in their web site now. It seems to have DOT to impress. Fit and weight (1.3KG) looked perfect to me where as other popular models where only in L size and were big for me (looks like shop keeper had one size and fits it to all by padding, what a forest!). Looks like Scorpion is nice one for CBR. Buy the one which fits you well and also well made.Originally posted by hypheni View PostCurrently using Studds Jade - a very basic full face helmet. Thinking about Studds scorpion. Already discussed on Helmet thread, just posted here to get a matching helmet for CBR. Problem with DOT and ECE (though I don't know about it) certification is our cops. They only knows ISI so there is a risk factor.
Anyone using some decent model with ISI marked full face helmet like Vega or so.~shifting at 6K RPM
