As long as the 250 is making money for Honda, Honda will continue selling it.

They don't really need the cash, they have the Activa for that ; 2 lakh sales a month.

I have a feeling that Honda is going to produce a cruiser 250 with CBR engine, it would be cheaper to make and the few hundred sales/ month wouldn't hurt their bank balance.

I saw some news on a rebel 300 or a twin 500 to rival the Enfields since Honda don't have a affordable cruiser.

I dont think cruisers are cheap, metals and chromes are expensive.

What Honda is now doing in India is business, pure business, they are not bothered about the competition or sales of bikes between 200-400cc.

They just want some realy good profit from India, which they are getting from the scooters and entry level commuter bikes, using this profit to improve their R&D in Japan, update and make some amazing entry-level sport bikes and higher segment bikes and launch it every market except India.

I've got plenty of cuts on my tyres too, been there for past 8000 kms. Just check and fill up air every week.

If you notice big cuts, then spray a little water there. If you see bubbles, that means you have an air leak. Anyway, make it a habit to check the air in your tyres every weekend. I didn't, and it cost me a rear Contigo which lasted only 15k kms. I was running around with 15 psi pressure on the rear for 3 months, did several high speed runs too. I'm lucky the damn thing didn't burst.

Pray tell me, how did you not check your psi for that long?

Because I spent most of those days talking to my friends 3 nieces and my tenants daughter. I'm happy I didn't forget to check the engine oil level every weekend.

What tires are your motorcycle shod with and how many kays has the tire done? Small nicks on the carcass here and there isn't a big deal, our roads do tend to make such things happen. Secondly, if you observe loss in tire pressure every week going down by three to four psi, you either have a worn tire or your rims are leaking. When a rim is bent, due to hitting over speed breakers or pot holes and what not, the rim's air sealing capacity is compromised and air leaks happen slowly or fast depending on the damage to the rim.

But also as leech said, it's a good idea to pour water over the cracks and observe any bubbles just like normal tire wallas do.

                          Cheers!

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
                          The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

                          THE END

                                Hi

VJ,I have continental Contigo tyres. My bike is only 2 weeks old and have completed 300 KM. There is a big line in middle of the tyre which travels half way. It's looks like someone draw a line with a blade. But I am sure nobody done that since I have'nt parked the bike anywhere outside of my home. Attached some images,
