  • Ah, I didn't know there were different stock settings . The mechanic said "medium" when I asked though, hope that helps.

    • There's no medium etc; 1 refers to softest & 5 refers to hardest. Probably he meant setting 3. With softest you're bound to experience this bobbing negligibly.

The manual does not recommend any rpm or speed limit. And actually there isnt any. You can safely and easily maintain 6-7krpm on highways. But important is avoid sudden acceleration and braking. If you can maintain that there is no harm in taking the bike with you. Remember gradual increase in rpm and warming up the engine before. You can take some halts as you maybe new to the seating position and then you can also have a timely inspection of the bike. enjoy your ride and vacations.

My take: I'm in love with the softest setting, in city riding. It's as plush as riding an SUV, if not more

Please avoid sms language and "...." stuff.

For your problem, did you try calling the regional manager? The numbers are listed on honda website. I found them very useful and co-operative. If they are not able to, then get in touch with fellow bhpians who have parts available at ASC around (ask dr.archit) and see if you can procure them. If its just body parts, cant you still ride it?

                    • Thanks for the responses guys..

@ Aargee: Ya, the break-in is a controversial topic. Being new to this, I wanted to take the safest route..but decided to give it a try now Sticking to the 4.5k RPM thing, read it somewhere buddy..

And by control on my wrists, I assume you want me to avoid sudden acceleration and the redline, right?

@ Metal_Maniac: It is encouraging that I can take her to 7K RPM. That would be enough for me...thanks for your wishes bro.!

                      Thanks again..

All of you say somewhere somewhere, now where is this somewhere & why is that you stick to something that you read SOMEWHERE that is not authenticated & not follow what's there on the owner's manual that is authenticated?
