Honda is Honda, but clowns will be clowns. Once a CBR mech left my bike leaking oil because he failed to tighten the oil filter bolts properly. I didn't use harsh words, but made him lose his lunch break to fix my bike.

Cant warranty be claimed at a different svc?
Because it is the same dealer who has probably damaged the thermostat from whom i bought the bike.

Just as I predicted. I am appalled by the negligence from the service center side. Fill it up with water for now, so that you can ride to your nearest service center without the thought on the back of mind. Get yourself a good premixed coolant or the Honda Coolant and top it up and bleed the system.

Cheers!

The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

Will get a new bottle of coolant from the svc since it is less than a km from my place and fill it up and then ride the bike. I hope the thermostat is intact. Lets see. Will update tommorow.

Again, thanks a lot guys.[emoji4]

You need not even wait till tomorrow. Just fill in the radiator with water, for now, go for a two kilometer ride around our area, and if the temp bar doesn't exceed the three bar mark. You can pretty much be sure the thermostat is fully functional. Or if you're even more reluctant to do that, fill in the radiator as I mentioned, crank the bike and let it idle till the fan kicks in. Check the temp reading, if she stays at the 3 mark. Operation success.

But as I reiterated earlier, either no coolant or thermostat, and since we don't have coolant here, that's the reason your bike hit new forum temperature, setting the records. Well, records are meant to be broken aren't they. Keep us posted though.

Cheers!

Happens all the time. These service center's are packed to their gills and they tend to skip/forget doing certain things. In his case I guess they forgot to add sufficient coolant.
It is always better one stays around while getting the repairs done, if not double check while collecting the motorcycle. An extra pair of eyes will keep such incidents to the minimum.

I am planning for a Philips xtreme vision 12v 60/55w itself. No idea about osram though. Having a hard time finding the bulb where I stay (I am residing in Guwahati, Assam).

Won't comment on the lights question as I don't know much. According to me, if you use lower power rated lights, you may cause the indicators to flash faster/console light to over load and the like. Basically it'll overload other components. I'm not sure, however. You could just use a small resistance to raise the power consumption of the headlight. That way you'll never have problems.
All fluid level seems fine. It usually happens when I leave the acceleration and pop up the clutch lever. I guess I need to update my riding ways. Hopefully I'll get used to the bike.

Also I am thinking of purchasing a set of parking lights for my bike. Any idea on which one?
Found one on eBay. Please have a look at the link and suggest if I should purchase this.

Completed 1000 kms mark finally... 1st service completed around 700 kms... Did a top speed run it was 128kmph before meeting an obstacle..
Only accessory bought so far for the bike is G A Engineering paddock stand which I will be receiving this week.
Getting a strong mileage of 37kmpl (speed varied from 60 - 80kmph). Very happy with the bike now. Brakes are very much intact compared to the day 1.

Nah man! I'm still running in the bike. I wouldn't go to nice road till I hit 1000km. Still hovering around 300km. I'm running in the bike in the city. I went to Kormangala, Whitefield and such to go through heat cycles and give it a wide range of motion. [emoji16] I would love to meet up though. Tell me if you're free. I'll meet you someday!
leech man I've been trying so hard to check the oil level by straightening to bike... I have no idea how to look at the window from that position. It maybe because I'm rotund, but I just can't see the window. Any tips on how to do it better?

You gotta squat down to the side of the bike, facing the bike.
A proper squat, with feet flat on the floor. One hand on the handlebar to balance the bike. It's a bit tricky to balance the bike at first, but much more convenient than paddock stand or call a friend method.

Be careful, you might end up dropping the bike. It's better you ask someone (friend, watchman) to hold or sit on the bike and you check the level. If you are doing it alone remember to keep the side stand on, so that in case you let go the bike doesn't topple over.
Or if you can find a block of wood thick enough so that when you rest the side stand on it, the bike is level.
On my d200, i usually hold the left side grab rail with one hand and bend a little to check the oil level.

If you are apprehensive of dropping your bike. I'd recommend this simple method. Put your bike in the side stand come over to the right side, where the oil window is, squat, and slowly pull the handlebar towards your side till the bike becomes level, this way if you look at the oil window you can see the level exactly halfway through the glass, which is a good enough reading. I'd recommend checking the engine oil after the bike has run a few kms, this makes the oil a little fluidic so as to one can see the right oil level.

Cheers!
