Re: Honda CBR 250R
Its only temporary solution if my current tyre gives way, but soo far soo good, i feel like I'm Sitting on a new bike coming from.a r15 2009. Ive mentioned if only my front tyre keeps leaking and I need to fill air everyday like that if not , my tyres have easily more than 15k life left, it's a just in case option, if I'm gonna be changing tyres ,I rather do front n rear together. I've posted before on this subject, actually was on a 140-60-17 rear that is the gixxer rear tyre, it reduced my cornering capabilities, but didnt notice a huge difference in mileage, might have improved, also someone told me, my speedo reading would have been wrong by a couple of km, that is very probable. Its radial and also talking about bias ply, I have a friend who uses front nylon and rear radial, he was telling something about dust reduction, I didn't quite follow,I'll be sticking to radial and radial for now . As of now I'm happy with the front, bike just returned after 2 weeks, got a new left side fairing , still the brake calipre is slightly chipped, and few more chips but overall its all good, few months into next year planning a stock pearl beam white paint job or a wrap, or stick to stock black or wrap matte black.Originally posted by B7ACKTHORN View PostLast edited by Deathwing; 10-04-2016, 09:44 AM.

Re: Honda CBR 250R
Whenever you plan to change the tires, for the front I'd say go for the mrf (the one that comes on duke). It's the same size on the cbr and is one of the best front tires your money can buy (cost around 2600rs). For the rear (radial type) you can go for the michelin pilot street radial or the mrf's.Originally posted by Deathwing View PostI'll be sticking to radial and radial for now.

Re: Honda CBR 250R
Do you mean mrf revz -FC1? I'm on zapper FY tyres, was planning on both Michelin in the future, my tyres still have plenty of life its just that after the accident my front tyre had debris , but fixed it, I happen to have a spare 100-80-17 Michelin but not sure if it will be ideal for my bike even temporarily.Originally posted by s1d View PostWhenever you plan to change the tires, for the front I'd say go for the mrf (the one that comes on duke). Re: Honda CBR 250R
Yep the fc1 (or fc whatever is available). These days the duke 200 comes stock with the FC1 and it is available even in shops outside. Earlier it was difficult to obtain the fc1 tire. The revz fc1 and c1 (front and rear respectively) replace the revz fc and revz c (which did duty on earlier d200's). If you can get the fc well and good if not, am sure the fc1 will be equally good. It saves you a decent amount of money (~2600rs vs 4000+ for michelin)Originally posted by Deathwing View PostDo you mean mrf revz -FC1?

Re: Honda CBR 250R
revz - name of series for radial tires from mrfOriginally posted by Deathwing View PostWill check it out ,thanks for the input, also you told me for the front, rear is revz c1? What is the cost of this rear mrf tyre?
f- front
c/c1 - sub-series/their naming convention (C is the prev generation, C1 is current gen)
So yeah, front is FC or FC1 and Rear is just C or C1
The Rear costs around 3600rs, but remember the rear is a 150/60 -r17. I don't think it's available in the 140 size.

Re: second hand honda cbr250r ABS
All the best mate and congratulations welcome to cbr family.Originally posted by ankushh View PostHi Guys,
This is my first post on this website, though I am being reading xbhp forums since as long ago as I can remember.
I am a bike enthusiast and I have been riding pulsar 220 f from past 3 years.
But now I got a deal from my friend and bought a Honda CBR250R ABS from him. He bought this bike in march 2016 and got only 2800 kms on the odo.
Along with the bike he also gave me the following accessories:
MT blade helmet
Sena 10s bluetooth
Riders jacket
Protection gloves
Knee pads
Saddle bag
K&n filter (already fitted in the bike)
And also, He has taken 4 years extended warranty in the bike. This whole deal costed me around 1.7 lakhs
I have been riding for long but I am still not a expert. I would like to know from my fellow experienced bikers if this was a fair deal or could I have gone for even less.
P.S.Will post the pics soon of my new CBR.
Thanks

Re: second hand honda cbr250r ABS
With Sena, with jacket and gloves, would set you back close to 32 to 30k if you were to invest in a new one. Considering the bike's run only 2800 and MY2016 and provided you've gotten all these, included, it's in fact a very sweet deal. Call it a very good value for money package.Originally posted by ankushh View PostHi Guys,

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
The girl said, 'NO!'
And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

Re: Honda CBR 250R
Absolutely right. I'm currently using the FC and C for my ceeber. Was running on michelins before (lasted 32K kms), and was very curious about this new entrant from MRF. I got the pair for 5.5K, with lots of haggling with the dealer. Was surprised at the amount of grip offered! The front is the best replacement for the stock Conti's or even for the Michelin! The rear is 150/60/17, meaning it's an upsize of 10mm, and a downsize of 10mm on the sidewall. it is still a d irect fit though, and there is enough clearance from the tyre hugger and the swingarm.Originally posted by s1d View Postrevz - name of series for radial tires from mrf

The MRF tyres are really light in comparison with Contigos or Michelins. it gives the ceeber a rather nimble feel. No loss in FE observed due to upsizing the rear, still gives out ~35kmpl.
However, the downsize in sidewall induces a feel, as if the tail is sitting lower, which is good on highway stints as the bike feels more stable. The downside is, you have to be wary of potholes, as the reduction in sidewall will transfer more force onto the alloy wheel.
But, for 5.5k INR a pair, heck I'd be more than happy if they lasted for 18K kms! Spent 12K INR for a pair of Michelins before! These tyres are puncture prone, and i use PFZ in both tyres.

Re: Honda CBR 250R
5.5k? When did you get those tyres? I recently bought them in chennai BM Lal tyres (opp to Sathyam parking) by Sep 10th. The pair costed me 6850 inclusive of tax. Fitting was done free of cost. The front tyre was not available any where else.Ride Safe!

Tire prices in general have gone up since the past 1yr. Now, did you get the C or the C1's? The C was around 2400 front and 3000 rear a year ago and the C1's now are 2800 and 3600 approx.Originally posted by sman999 View Post5.5k? When did you get those tyres? 6850 for the C seems on the higher side, bm Lal usually has fair prices.

Re: Honda CBR 250R
I got the latest C1's with updated pattern for front Tyre. I was assured that it was the latest batch and i didnt doubt that because i had not seen that pattern anywhere else when i enquired. Now it has a center zig zag line running for max water channeling.Originally posted by s1d View PostTire prices in general have gone up since the past 1yr. Now, did you get the C or the C1's?
