What do you want people to base their vote on? Some random speculation & preconceived notions ?
Well, what you're saying makes sense too. But i just wanted their opinion regarding one brand vs the another.
Like Honda is known for its engine refinement, but on the other hand Bajaj is known to be notorious.
So just wanted to know their trust on the bikes of two different brands.

      Why is it 'Outdated' ?
      Are the spares not available?
Is the tech that goes in to the mechanical's/electronics legacy ? Remember it's only a 250cc mill.
Just because it's been around a few years (maybe 2 more than a ktm) doesn't make it outdated. (If this is outdated, then every other bike sold in India is outdated.. i.e. splendors, activa's , pulsar's, apaches blah blah's.. )
The mechanical's/engine is still among the best in its category, the electronics more than sufficient to run that mill and it also comes with an ABS option. The price too is reasonable and perhaps one of the reasonably priced motorcycles from the Honda stable in India and can perform a wide range of duties (city/touring) without a fuss.

I'd have picked up the cbr250, if not for the ktm's. the ktm surprised me with it's peppy, frantic, two strokish nature(which i love, having ridden many a 2 strokers as a kid and as a long term owner of an rx100) and that was the sole reason i went in for a ktm.
KTM is loaded with more features like slipper clutch, instrument cluster, updates. Tho it doesn't match reliability of the Honda engine, as I said before HMSI have no plans to launch another bike even if they did, they can't phase out the CBR cause there are a good healthy number of them soo shortage of spares will never be a problem. The engine is the best facet of the bike, smoothness and linear power delivery, back in 2014 I had the option of KTM duke 200/390 and Honda, I went for the CBR because of the reliability of the engine, and also one of the best engine cooling systems in the segment. It had a very good midrange and top end , lacks the initial grunt that the ktms have but the CBR ticked all the boxes for me, I'm still very pleased with the bike. Coming to the outdated comment, its just that Honda has not updated to the 300r or the new 250rr. The 300r looks visually much better and has better specs, the 250rr is a completely new package, I felt it was in contention with the r3,ninja300, n rc390 more track focused.

You can close your eyes and go for a Honda, bajaj on the other hand not soo. I suppose bajaj is "value for money" but Id prefer Honda any day, but there are other options in the category, the most obvious being Duke 390, Mahindra mojo, the kratos has not even come to the market yet

Already been through all those options. Can't really spend 2.3 lakhs for the Duke.
Mojo- 300cc but still underpowered, cries after 135kmph.
So yeah, I'm kind of waiting for the Kratos to release and will then go for the CBR.

Kratos ex showroom Delhi is about 1.8 if I am not wrong, should rise up to 2lakhs and above easily, either ways I wouldn't jump in for the first batch of any bike, irrespective of the brand, better to wait a few months after release. Hmmm even the CBR over 130 is a bit stressed tho will go up to 160kmph in stock form if your comparing top speed..

1.8 must be for the ABS version.
And about CBR, I've watched a lot of videos (Indian and Non Indian) where she easily climbs till 150-155 (like +2kmph per second) and then stresses a bit.
But then again isn't that great for a 250cc engine? On the other hand, the duke 390 goes till the same limits. I know aerodynamics make a difference, but this definitely shows how perfectly tuned and refined Honda's engine is.

Duke reaches 169 pretty fast but would overheat more, I duno what its about the Honda engine cooling system but it has never ever overheated, I've changed exhausts to a pipe a did some testing, and on stock, the engine cooling system is impeccable. CBR is definitely more capable to handle mods than a duke which is stressed already, I see a long term with this bike, I am considering making it only track maybe in the future when I'm in a position I can upgrade, man , I just love the cornering on the bike Even though its not overly committed.

I saw it on multiple websites, obviously its not a 100% accurate but its a close enough representation of what the price might be.

                        Exactly.
I don't know why but even if the Kratos will be powered by D390s engine. Still I think it'll cry after 140kmph.
                        Not to forget, heating issues.

The max you can gain is 4-5 hp with extensive mods. Again, not worth the moolah which will only create issues later on.

Its better, to use the machine as stock and save the money and upgrade later.

Without Any Doubt Go For ABS. I Used To Feel I Have The Skills Of Valentino Rossi But After I Owned ABS My Whole Prospective Changed.

My needs where straight forward ,
                                1. Full fairing bike- Eliminates all naked bikes.
                                2. Pillion comfort- Eliminates R15 V2
                                3. More riding pleasure than R15 as I owned it earlier. -Eliminates R15s
                                4. Need to travel 60kms so I don't want myself to be more committed driving posture rather I need some sort of relaxed riding posture.- Eliminates KTM RC
                                5. Reliable machine for next 5 years.

Loved Yamaha R3 but the recalls and lack of ABS for the premium took the deal out from there.

CBR250R ticks all my needs. Just went and booked red colour CBR250R in KUN Honda, Chennai. Painful waiting period started.
