Month and year will be there on the tire, you just have to look a bit carefully, its pretty easy to miss.

Most tire manufacturer's follow a four digit code, first two digits for week number of the year and next two digits for the year; e.g. 2516 would mean 25th week of the year 2016.

Changed the front disk pad, but the after running 200 meters, the brake jammed totally. Thank god wasnt doing more than 20 kmph, or it might have been fatal. The Caliper might be damaged. Kept the bike the servicing. Stocks not available. Can any one inform of the cost of caliper? Mechanic trying to do some lathe work on it, do some jugaad. But its damn risky.
Also my my left side shock absorber tube it cracked. It costs around 1800/-

So nothing is wrong with my coneset/race bearings, just the bumpy tyres causing the wobbling on corners. I recall someone saying that low pressure on the tyres are the main reason for bumps which turns out to be true in my case. The front was 3 psi less, and the bad roads caused the tyre to develop 6-7 bumps on the right side of the tyre.

Question to experts : if a tire can withstand 300kg at 38 psi, then it stands to reason the tire is strongest at 38 psi, isn't it? Any views on my current theory?

Did you try a calliper rebuild with new seals for the floating pistons. Common issue

My front tyre leaks like nobodies business, I filled 30psi on Sunday , today I checked it was at 10, after my accident in successive months last year in the front , my front tyre has weakened a lot, have a free slightly used on track 110/70 mrf tyre which I plan to fit on Saturday or so. Also is it better to change seat or just can change the cushioning inside, a new seat costs 800-900 bucks , cushioning should cost 300-400 bucks, please advice

I got the bike delivered before 60 days waiting period but that was more than 3 years before .

On a serious note, you can check with the showroom guys about any possibility of early delivery. If they have the bike in stock, i see no reason for them to delay the delivery unless there is an issue with payment. So have a call with the sales person to whom you have checked for booking once in 2/3 days or have a casual visit to the showroom.

Good luck in getting you bike early

It just depends on how often the dealer gets their inventory of bikes updated, if its a slow moving dealer it can take the said amount of time, for some dealers who ahve a higher rating with teh manufacturer it could be quicker.
Some dealers buy of bikes from other dealers to not lose a customer, sometime this causes the customer to get older stock, most people do not know how to check these things, so it happens.

I did not mean to scare you, but its just how it is.

Kun Honda Adyar branch are main dealer. They told me that by Feb there is a new load coming in. I might get my bike in that lot. Not sure.
Am paying around 1.5L as down payment to get the bike..

one of my friend told that, they will give priority to people who pay full cash and for EMI they make them wait in Q..

                          • CBR250R Bigger sprocket mod query

Hello, i want to change my bikes front and rear sprocket for much better acceleration, i understand it will decrease top speed and other odds, and am ok with it, i have read few discussions about sprocket change and all, people suggesting daytona kits, ktm's 43T rear sprocket and few are too technical which gave all the specs about tooth numbers and pitch sizes. . Which i didnt understood much, i dont want to spend a lot, and i want to know easy possible way of changing to a bigger sprocket. DIY hacks also please suggest, thank u

They do give more priority to people who pay full cash upfront, but also depends on how many orders theya lready have on the bike.
Now for this case if they have only a few orders for the cbr, then all the units should be dispatched to him.
There Shouldn't be much delay in such cases.

But then again, each dealers behave differently to different people. So can't say for sure.

Well, in my case, I got the bike 5 days after booking in Dec 12. I told them I would pay cash or cheque or sack, whatever they want, I just need a new stock bike. And I would pay as soon as the bike arrives in the dealership. And Didar Honda delivered. 5 kms odo reading. [emoji4]
