Re: Honda CBR 250R
Hello, Am getting my Repsol, in a day or two, I am going to change the tyres to Michelin (stock has MRF).
Need your valuable advise/suggestion.
Can i upgrade the rare stock tyre from140/70- 17 to 150/60 17?
Will their be any issue/affects with the
1. Pickup ( very imp for me)
2. ABS setup
3. ground clearance.
And how to check the MFD ofthe bike.

Re: Honda CBR 250R
No issues at all with Micheline Street Radial 150/60 /17 for any of the issues you raised,go for with it with closed eyes .But MRFs are also good enough.Originally posted by SantoshPg View PostHello, Am getting my Repsol, in a day or two, I am going to change the tyres to Michelin (stock has MRF).

Re: Honda CBR 250R
10 days done out of 60.. damn waiting for new bike is so hard.. :P
Guys which mirrors do you use?
Stock one or Aftermarket from Aliexpress?
Stock mirror serve the purpose but they dont blend well with the bike, was looking for something sharp.
Do Ninja 300 or ZMR mirror fit in?
can find good Pair of Ninja 300 mirror for around 23$ on ebay.
Also anyone here using lever guards?
The one which bolts on to bar ends.
Able to find couple of them on ebay india, but want to know whether they fit in without any mods.

Re: Honda CBR 250R
Has anyone here tried using the BTwin air pumps available from Decathlon to fill up air in the tyres? Are they compatible with motorcycle tyres? The one below looks pretty compact:

AFAIK, changing tyre size does effect the ABS, rest everything you wont find any visible difference
Regarding manufacturing date , have a look here (Decoding Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) Of 2-Wheeler)
Few pages back, someone guided me to use ZMR's RVM, they are direct fit.Originally posted by bondarun View Post10 days done out of 60.. damn waiting for new bike is so hard.. :P

Regarding lever guards, stock one uses screws for current bar end and new ones will come with allen screw, the thread size remains the same though.Last edited by prateek2210; 02-06-2017, 01:31 PM.Fare thee well xBhp, All the best for being the biggest name in corporate world

Re: Honda CBR 250R
Mrf are the best budget tyres, decent grip, but wet is questionable, but if you have money go for Michelin pilot street radial, also coming to RVM, I hardly use mine in the city , mainly on the highways, are there any more options apart from the zmr rvms? Any online options? Also have another doubt , I'm saying suppose Honda decides to launch the 300r , is it possible to switch the engine components of that bike to our current 250? I mean atleast get it upto speed?like engine and fairing?Originally posted by prateek2210 View PostMRFs are good. I dont think you will find the need to change them

Re: Honda CBR 250R
ZMR Mirrors are a direct fit, and they offer a better field of vision. There also had been some "free giveaways" of the ZMR mirrors here in this thread. A goodwill gesture from a fellow bhpian.Originally posted by bondarun View Post10 days done out of 60.. damn waiting for new bike is so hard.. :P

Yes. BTWIN/Decathalon pumps are robust and have excellent build quality. What I would like to caution you about is make sure which valve they are compatible with. Since, they mostly deal with bicycles, their pump valves "sometimes" may be presta only. Check if the pumps are schrader compatible which is what our motorcycle valves are, if yes, go for it.Originally posted by AshishTamhane View PostHas anyone here tried using the BTwin air pumps available from Decathlon to fill up air in the tyres? A small correction VJ Saab - ZMR mirrors look hotter, but the stem length is smaller than OE mirrors. So, if you're a tall lanky dude with long peripherals, you'll see even less of the action behind than you did before. If you have them installed on your bike, can you take some pics of it and share it here?

Re: Honda CBR 250R
It would probably work (their specs say it's compatible with both shrader and presta valves). But I would say check it at your local decathlon store before buying (you can carry a spare valve and see if it fits). If they have good return policy (which they generally do) you could return it if unhappy.Originally posted by AshishTamhane View PostHas anyone here tried using the BTwin air pumps available from Decathlon to fill up air in the tyres? Now, an alternate would be the Resqtech ResQTech Micro Tyre Inflator ( RSQ-AC101 )
Costs the same 999 , and does work pretty well. It's powered off the battery and convenient to use and carry. I use this.
Each have their pro's and con's so decide accordingly.
