Getting spares from Honda SVCs is a big task nowadays. Buggers have stopped selling spares over the counter. In Noida, I was denied for a chain set recently though it was available. They need bike to be fixed at their place only. Thus, got the Rolon one from my local stockist. OE one was also supplied by Rolon. Even they denied for air/oil filters. They told me that they have got such instructions from Honda only. I don't know what they are up to. However, I got some consumables (Air/Oil filters, cables, drain bolt washers, and some gaskets etc.) for future purpose from a SVC in Faridabad near my office. Thanks to the nice gentleman at spare counter who provided all the items without any issue.

Yes and this updated granny with 29 ps and 23 nm will still kick ass! Nobody's complaining.

That's not even right, here in Chennai I never faced such a problem, I can purchase anything from a swingarm, fork seals, chain sprocket set, etc, they never said you can't take or anything like that, my friend is building a race spec CBR 250 soo we were never denied for parts , I even told the SVC what it is for.

I think its more with to do with that particular ASC. I recently checked with Manasarovar Honda service center(Chennai), they said in one branch over the counter sale is not available and they them self informed that counter sale is available in another branch of their own from where i have collected the air filter. Not sure what exactly the reason behind this, but this is the response i got from them.

Also you can check with some automobile spare parts shops, some will deal with Honda genuine spares. I infact got my second chain sprocked set, clutch cable and accelerator cable from an automobile spare parts shop. So try around some shops so that you can have a back up store if you are in need of spares which is not readily available in one place.

I have to travel 50 kms one way for spares. Granny gets a diesel wash once a year, so chain and Coneset still happy at 36k kms. Going to oil up some joints soon.

Write a strongly worded yet polite email to honda customer service regarding this & question them as to why while one svc is selling spares over counter the other is not! It has worked for me in the past.
Some svc's do employ such tactics while others will sell spares over the counter. Happens not just with honda but with every other company out there.

                        Congrats on the new purchase,
but one doubt, Repsol edition never came STD, it only had the ABS option IIRC.
Or did they start selling the Repsol colours without the ABS ?

                          Thanks Bro

I have booked the bike on Jan 14th 2017.
It's Medavakkam Maansarover Honda. Like you I have quarreled with them a lot to get the bike soon. Now they have a ABS Variant in stock and also I have seen their dispatch sheet and according to that they will be receiving another load by end of this week which also has ABS Repsol edition.

                          Monday to Saturday 9:30AM - 7:30PM

If you are planning to buy please do hurry up as they end up giving to Velacherry branch if they get any demands.

As per them, BS4 update is following up so after February there will be a Pause on the CBR production and the next stock will come up only in April.

Funny incident: one of my friend also booked cbr with me but on seeing the waiting period he withdrew and booked Dominar 2 weeks back and got delivery in just 3 days .
That idiot is mocking me for past 10 days.

I too had this doubt and checked the Honda two wheeler website, and confirmed that they now have both STD and ABS version in Repsol colours.

I initially thought that they should have done this during the launch of repsol colours, but some how i have a feeling(consoling myself) that orange colour ages faster than the full black(which i own )

Oh ok, that's a bit different, the website at-least pictures seems to suggest that the Repsol comes with ABS, i would strongly recommend you to confirm it with the dealers once again.
The price seems to be right considering its the STD variant, from what i can remember the Repsol variant did go above 2L for OTR price.
