Re: Honda CBR 250R
So for the mail i sent to Honda, today got a call from Dealership that they will sticker the front of the bike ( 93 or 26 ) the number i want during the time of delivery..
WTF! are they serious or what? I can get that done in any way i can..
Honda is providing Printed decal of 93 or 26 + 2x HRC sticker along with this bike..
Tomorrow going to visit the dealer once again and explain him clearly on it.. -_-
Seriously i dono why HONDA is so careless in this..
If someone here who got the new Repsol along with the sticker kit please do comment below..

Re: Honda CBR 250R
Hey guys, Yesterday i completed my 2000kms ride from Mumbai-Rann of kutch-Mumbai. I must say, ive always heard from everyone that Honda's are very reliable and i had believe in it, but after this 2k kms ride i can proudly say that YES!! Honda's are reliable.
As i reached from Mumbai to Ahmedabad my chain & sprocket started to show some wear which was unexpected as the svc guy said yeah it'll run for more 5k kms ( human error ). As i had gone on Saturday/sunday & Saturday was a busy day which had me busy till last evening, so few people over there told me that the svc would be closed and would reopen only on Monday. Then i decided to get going with the ride with the same chain and sprocket. It had made all kind of different noises from patt patt to tadakk tadakk but i somehow took the risk of riding it back.
In 1 hour I'll be going to change the sprocket so before going i thought of writing about it .
I didn't take any pictures of the sprocket which i must say is 98% dead to me after reaching mumbai.
I'll post pics once i finish changing it .
P.S- I Dont mean to tell anyone that they should take risks as such or anyother just because its Honda or anyother reliable bike. Anything could've gone wrong and i wouldn't have been here saying all this, so ride safe ride hard and make sure you check your bike completely before going on to any rides.

Re: Honda CBR 250R
Mates, I need some clarification here... When I got my bike delivered the ODOmeter reading showed up as 22kms. When I asked the showroom person he said that this is usual as they test ride every 250R bike for 10 - 20 kms to check the proper functioning of the bike. what is your experience on this... please let me know
Also the Clutch is tighter than my R15 is it natural or I should adjust it because I get knocks when the Bike is operating below 2.5K RPM.
Also the rear disc brake is not having any stopping power at all actually. Showroom person said that It will take few KMS for the pad to set in.
Thanks in advance...
I have already Mailed honda about this.. But I still need your advice
@bondarun I have mailed honda about the HRC sticker and they have replied me positively... So I'll be getting both 93 and 26 stickers along with 2 HRC stickers while getting the Owners manual and service book.

when are you getting your bike?
They do Ride your bike till RTO to get it registered. so i think its around 15km odd from the dealership you got your bike..
For the clutch it should feel light and easy to engage..
Bybre brake setup are quite okish on this CBR STD model.. initial bite wont be present but after they heat up a bit they are good..
For some weird reason my loan is still in process.. ( fk icici ) -_-
I might get my bike by March 1st week ( hope so )
And for the sticker, the showroom manager called me and said we will stick 93 or 26 sticker for you and you wont be able to remove it..
I was at work that time, so was not able to explain him about it..
I sent a mail to Honda to clarify the doubt i had, but they took it as complain. LOL
btw saw a guy riding the new Repsol at velachery railway station on saturday afternoon around 12:30, i believe its you.
his t-shirt or helmet was red.. not sure.. :P

It's glad to see Honda offering sticker set. I would love to see the photos of the sticker set of prospective buyers here in our forum, would help fellow folks in getting some idea as to what's offered in the new Repsol.Originally posted by sstherockz View PostMates, I need some clarification here... Secondly, 22 kms is not too bad. Anything over 50 KM is worthy enough to be questioned. Usually, some dealers either ship their bikes through share autos or small pick ups or some mode of transportation if they bring more than five to six bikes in one go and considering their warehouse is far from the showroom. But, if it's only one bike, usually the showroom guys send a person to ride the bike back to the showroom, this happens on a usual basis. 22 kms still is more, but shouldn't be much of a concern. This can be more, in case of temp registration and permanent registration provided by the dealer itself, as they ride the to and fro to the RTO office.
Coming to rear brake, BYBRE setup does take some time to get bed in, 1000 kms should help bed in the brakes well. Thirdly, clutch surprisingly, I find R15's slightly harder than the CBRs, from all the R15s I've ridden. The clutch is supposed to be soft and not rock hard. If you feel clutch throw too long/hard, try reducing the clutch throw/play at the lever side using the adjustment screw.
Cheers!

The girl said, 'NO!'
And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

Re: Honda CBR 250R
If its getting loose very fast you can always cut a link or two, but you can't ride the bike hard under these circumstances, I had to ride due to financial constraints but the bike held its own, yes Honda quality and reliability is unfathomable, .Originally posted by Zaid77 View PostHey guys, Yesterday i completed my 2000kms ride from Mumbai-Rann of kutch-Mumbai.
