Hello Guys,

I'm new to chennai and I have slight screeching noise issues with my CRB 205R while driving in low RPM. Could you please suggest me the best place to get it fixed?

Regards,
Manju

Sounds like a new bike the CRB 205 r , jokes aside, go to didar honda in egmore, they got a separate cbr bay and two mechanics for the cbr and service manager is very helpful , both the mechs do a good job .

Ahh in my svc honda throttle oil 1.5 L is around 1100 rs. But I been using motilal 10w40 for a while and now 300v the last 2000km which is good for another 3000 or more kms.

Also, this sound occurs whenever the the engine is at low rpm and at idling.
It seems faulty CCT to me. Try replacing CCT assy first (478 Rs.). CBR's cam chain is not supposed to wear out under 40K km.

If the motul is doing its job preety well then I guess there is no need to switch to any other oil. I have used only Honda throttle and Shell Advance till date so can comment about both of them only. Honda Throttle for a litre pack costs 700 and in my place we need to buy two bottles and rest can be taken back to home so cost goes to 1400 ☺ Shell costed me 1300 for 2 bottles and yes its better than Honda Throttle for hot season(my experience).

Just wanted to know what's difference between a LS2 Rs.4000/- model and this HJC? Does the HJC light weight? LS2 is something close to 1.5kgs.

Hey, I don't know much about various professional helmet and its qualities. I believe due to gst the price going to hike, I could see a huge rush in the let's gear up shop in HSR, Bangalore. I was planning to buy smk but when I saw hjc cs-15 and when I tried, could easily understand the quality difference. I bought the same for 6500. Mobile pics I am unable to post here due to large size.
Also do we have any CBR group in Bangalore who does any small trips, I mean weekend trips around Bangalore. If so please add me to that group, I would like to join the same.
Also if anyone have any bike accessories or expensive service plan, do it now. Gst might impact us.

Actually the sound is there at high RPM also but we don't hear it. I have the same issue with my motorcycle and most CBR owners report this issue over internet. (Check CBR250 Forum) The HSC says that it is time to change the timing chain in order to get rid of this issue.

Actually I suspected the CCT at first, but I already changed it at 25k kms, due to a stitching noise from the engine. This sound is different from that stitching noise.

It became more noticeable after I changed the spark plug. Can an improperly fitted plug cause any problems?

There's a facebook group BCR for the same. You can join. It's only CBR250R riders and you can always plan rides there. We just had a ride yesterday.

Check if plug cap is properly fixed over plug if you have doubt. Is it sounding like electric spark? It's a deep reach cap and chances of a slight gap is there between contact point of cap and upper tip of plug if not fixed properly. Though I am not sure of that - just an assumption. Plug cap can be accessed by hand without opening anything. Just pull it a little and then press it till the rubber at the top of cap sits properly on the hole above the plug. Don't try it when engine is hot. Apart from that there is nothing like improper fixing of plug if it's tight on its spot.

Finally baby is here!

Enjoyed bringing her back to home driving 380Kms.

Handling is very good and stress free. Though the seat is not as smooth as expected.
Tyre are very responsive, still doesn't take time to become slippery. I faced near to accident due to oil residue on tyre and bike loosed grip while passing trailers.

I need to get air filter checked as post 7K rpm bike struggles to breath a lil bit.

Not satisfied with the throw of headlamp. Will upgrade asap.

Brakes are amazing and feels feather lite.

Analogue digital Dash is really beautiful in night.

Horn is very good IMO, still not as powerful as p220.

Man this red scheme with silver front wheel attracts damn lot of attention. I am enjoying people take pics with my bike (I keep an eye on them though)

Mileage is what I am not satisfied with, after making adjustments will post the mileage stats.

Overall happy with the deal I made for the bike and price.

Arvind, no the sound was like a screeching noise, but that's disappeared for now. I'm unable to replicate it today.

However I have a rattle when accelerating at low rpms, which started after the spark plug replacement job. It could be due to improper fitment of fairing, any more guesses?
