Hi, This is the first timeI am buying a helmet which costs above 2K. I had done some research in buying this in internet and gone through many reviews and finalised on this one. Regarding LS2, read many opinions that the markets are flooded with LS2 fakes. So avoided risk.

Have used the helmet next day on a long ride and felt very comfortable even though it is bit heavier than 1.5 kg,it is around 1.8 Kg.
Good ventilation.
Was in rain for about 2 hours and not a drop of water get inside.
Good visibility on either side due to wider visor.
And the visor was super clear even in rain. I just moved might head left and right in between in the drizzling and the water swept away to sides.
Only downsideI felt was the wind blast above 70 ~ 80 kmph. I think adding a chin curtain can reduce the same.

Emergency guys! That rattle I heard became worse, and suddenly the engine stopped. The bike can't start. There is a burning smell from the bike. Smoke also.

From the engine area. Between the radiator and spark plug area. Engine light is off. Oil level fine.
Heat level three bars. There was a burning smell of plastic for a few seconds after.

That mechanic who changed the plug was a trainee. [emoji21]

It seems my guess was right. That plug cap was not seated properly over the plug contact point and there was gap. The sound you were hearing was arcing due to the gap between cap contact point and plug upper tip. The electric current arcing heated the rubber and then almost burnt it. If that is the case, you need a new plug cap and rest would be okay.

check the plug cap as the other user pointed out, and also remove the plug and inspect it.
otherwise check around the engine exterior thoroughly for anything that appears out of place/abnormal.. able to find the exacts source of smoke ?
that sound could also be from the starter sprag clutch/starter clutch (i think cbr has it.. it's related to the starter motor to help turn your engine over while starting it) or the balancer shaft (i remember a friends pulsar that had a krrr/mettalic shrill sound and it was a faulty balancer shaft)

@ arvind - thanks for the reply. I have doubt, just the spark plug rubber gets burnt, the bike wont start?
I have full electrical power, the fuel pump primes, the starter motor turns over, but the bike doesnt start.

Yes, it won't start if cap is fried. The cap is not just a piece of rubber, but there is a resistor of certain ohm and other things too.

Attached is a picture of spark plug cap for your better understanding.

Just asking, when did you do the last oil change? Recently? From where? Double check if the oil filter is inserted properly. (Faulty oil filter may end up with this kind of issues As well. Like arvstreetracer said, if the spark plug cap isn't tightened well it will burn the cap because it is dealing with high voltage current. Since the engine isn't contact with any kind of plastic parts the spark plug adaptor is the only stuff which can be suspected. Sorry for what you are going through and do update with the issue.

Spoke to a SVC regarding the new models of cbrs. The guy there confirms that 150 will come this year but the 250 will be launched next year with bs4 compliant and new paint schemes maybe. But no new changes apart from that. According to him, the makers in Japan are very adamant with their own research and they don't listen to others... So.. Yea. This is it.

From last few days I was on a search for a mud flap for the front fender. Thought I tried using the flap of duke was to able to fit it. I tried fixing it with double side tape, mseal but they work. So today tried searching out the local shops. There I found a cheap rubber mud flap which fits the front fender properly with the help of screws. No making holes, no pasting with adhesives nothing. Just tighten the screw and its done. I have attached the pics of the same. It costed my just Rs. 30 and 10 min. to fix it . I have not tested it yet just fixed to the bike. I'll update as I test it out.

Apparently the spark plug is demolished!

My uncle suspects part of the plug is still in the head, and the head groove also has worn out. This is the first time this bike has piggybacked on a towing van.

Tomorrow i guess I'll be at the SVC full time.
