We haven't seen the bike's condition besides none of us know the prices of the parts or labour including the tax. Why don't you approach the ASC?

BTW, I'm losing interest updating this thread; its getting deviated from meaningful discussion to jokes. I'm giving a thought to keep the C250R logs else where!!!

CBR 250R Performance

CBR owners realy very interested to know about what mileage u guys are getting and how much Top speed have u attained as of now..

I am getting a mileage of 35 in city and 38-29 kmpl on Highways.
Top Speed of 144KMPH achieved with pillion.

New CBR 250R : Oil change n basic dos n donts query?

Can anyone pls let me know when to change the oil (which oil to use synthetic or semi-synthetic) and the filter in the new cbr 250r, jus took delivery today, did approx 40 kms..?
have read quite a few posts n blogs which suggest oil and filter change at 500 kms and then again at the first servicing at 1000 kms...? also, how long (kms) should i run my bike under 5k rpms to ensure a good break in..? am new to the forum and this is my first post/query. Thanks!

Front fairing + The Silver inserts(both side)
Right Front indicator
Speedometer
Left Clipon and switchgear
Exhaust Heatshield
Brake lever
Fuel Tank (has got minor scratches,maybe repaint would be fine)

can someone tell me the estimate for all this plus how much do i expect of it to be covered in insurance??

As far as my knowledge/experience is concerned insurance companies in general pay 90% of the price of metallic parts and 50% that of plastics and stuff. Contact your insurance company for the exact details. Hope you get the parts required soon !!

even he can experiment with sticker work with the parts slightly scratched and make it a rapsol edition bike as my frnd did due to non availability of fairing which was badly scratched in a minor accident

first service

took my baby ceeber today for her first service at 586 kms...total bill was 1016 rs....oil was 10w30 total quantity was 1.5 litres....oil filter costed me 260 rs...now my baby is running super smooth and now i can rev her to 8000rpm.....happy and adrenaline pumping ride to come.....

Thanx mate....

Im estimating the costs to be inside 20,000....rembr reading in previous posts the cowl costs 1500 and silver part is for 250.....would visit ASC tomoro....and speak to them..

At Aargee.....dude i think u should change your name to "Argue"

and btw you leaving the forum would make negligible difference here cause 90% of all your posts are either your cross-questions,asking for more details,or you are confused

etc...thats how you crossed 6000 posts in such a short time....and your constant blubbering about the bike is discouraging to potential buyer who follow the thread.

Dude, this is an ownership thread.. Just like everyone else, Aargee also shares the experience/problems faced with his CBR.. If potential buyers are discouraged after reading this thread, that's because of the irresponsible attitude of HMSI shown in parts delivery and component quality

, it's not because of Aargee.. Take the comments in the right spirit man!

Haven't you opted for the additional cover to get 100% cover (100% for plastics also) for insurance, there was option in ICICI which i took, costed me a bit more than the actual amount.
Details :
1. Basic Own damage : 1472.00
2. Zero depreciation : 958.00
3. Third party liability : 330.00
4. PA cover for owner : 50.00

I have lost the whole of left fairing, front mudguard and a bent radiator and I was given an estimate of about 22k, excluding consumables and insurance claim. And Varun is correct about the insurance payment option, if you have a normal insurance.

My friend, are you aware that the person you are talking about had got his engine changed by Honda because his new engine went kaput in the middle of the road!? I'm telling you this because had it been anyone else, you'd hear much more rants. I'm not biased with anyone but matter of factly every CBR owner is entitled to their opinion on the bike with this being an ownership thread. Or so I think!

Dude where were you when I was paying for the premium to lombard!!!!

They said they don't have a Zero depreciation thingy for 2-wheelers!!

I think mine is the normal insurance as there were no related discussions while purchasing ... But good to know this..

Will keep it in mind while renewing the insurance next time.

...nd ya last Saturday had the time to go to didar honda in t.nagar..i am happy coz the owner of the place is just as passionate abt the CBR as the clients.i went there for getting my chain lubed as the as@#! at surya didnt have it.....karthic sorted out tht for me.and i had the chance to meet kamal...nice guy i rode with him upto porur ,guys it was cool..2 red CBRs in the traffic we got a lot of aaahhhh wows!!....

got my cbr std red today, the engine oil gauge doesnt show anything!! no oil? or am i not reading it correctly..is it possible that they wud hand over a bike w/o engine oil?
