It's MRP is 600. I got it for a lesser price. Never used Osram Nightbreaker, so cannot compare or comment anything.Originally posted by Binoy View Postwhat's the cost? I have used Osram Nighbreaker in my FZ16 which was really good. How good is this when compared to Osram/stock bulb?
But its much much better than the stock bulb. It's brighter (more intensity) and the beam throw distance is more.
Didn't take any pics yet. Will post it later.Originally posted by titanic4u View PostPost the pics please, with difference, :P

Found this CBR yesterday at Sapphire Honda, JP Nagar. Looked good, so clicked a pic. It had a projector and blue angel eye.
*It's not mine, nor I know the owner. So I've no details about it*

Sure, gotcha.Originally posted by trustvishwas View Post1. Please do not use the word ripping here. It gives wrong impression.
I will, as soon as I find another CBR owner who will be willing to let me try it out, maybe at the next G2G.Originally posted by trustvishwas View Post2. The throttle response would not have gone back. You are used to it. Why not compare it with another CBR and see the difference?

Today I'm able to change my OIL Filter from Shiva Wheels Honda, according to my post no 4981, I faced Oil Leak issue from the Engine Oil draining bolt & when I talked about the issue they replied the washer between engine wall and the bolt must gone kaput.
And it is true...they showed me washer which wear out both side......Hope the problem solved else I need to fight for this.
Expenses:-
Oil Filter - 260/-
12MM Washer - 3/-
Maintenance Stand - 3820/-
didn't change the engine oil as it is less than 500KM old.
Here is the pic of the main stand

P.S:-
I bought this to clean/lube my chain easily which is less than 2 min job in this, I know other two method i,e one need to move bike forward & backward but I don't have such space in my storage room.'
Another to using the side stand which mentioned other CBR forum, but last time when I tried this method I got 2 days back shoulder pain with numb hands.
Lube @ ASC cost 200/- with long waiting period and full working day need to be spend at SVC.

Yes....they drain the engine oil in fresh plastic beaker (measuring scale one side) which they use to pour the engine oil in exact recommended quantity.Originally posted by aargee View PostSo how did you change the washer in the bolt without draining the oil? Or did you drain & use the same oil
Then they replace the OIL filter, after that from my bike it 1+ ltr came out and they add the rest of quantity from the fresh bottle.
First they pour 1 ltr and rest 500ml later, Service person told OIL is in good condition....no need to change/worry.
Though I decided to change the OIL + Filter after I cross 2k-2.5k. Hope I'm right.....Please correct me.
Bike is now 1100 KM. .
Surprisingly I found CBR customers allowed at the service bay not only me but others 3 owner too who are from different showroom.

1 black Teflon quoted CBR present there and ASC ppl insists to see every CBR owner just for sake of ad.Last edited by Neel08; 10-20-2011, 09:28 PM.

Nice piece of info Neel. Have you got yours changed? If no, whenever you go please also have a look as to what body panels have come. Thanks in advance.Originally posted by Neel08 View PostFor Kolkata user only,
Called Shiva Wheels Honda, they received 50-60 pcs of Oil Filter, but not for retail.....only for their customer....one must go with their respective vehicle to get only one installed by them.

Man plenty of spare parts there, but forget to ask about yours....Sorry.
even forget to enquirer about any other CBR parts.
I am busy with exchanging info with other 3 owner about their bike.....specially about OIL leak if any & they want my mileage info, then main stand caught my attention and forget about everything.

short....long drive
just back from my short...long drive
the engine growl and sweet exhaust note is still ringing in my ears...what a machine it is mindblowing..the time when the torque builds up it feels as if u you will be seated and the bike will glide from beneath you i am still in run in period so did not go beyond 6000 rpm but managed to do 104 km/hr. throttle has now started to open up and you can feel the acceleration at just the flick of wrist, night visibility is also great,i am in love with my baby ceeber(more than my baby r1)
i am writing this with my cold struck face and numb hands(sorry, still to go for riding gears)
even after my long drive i am still as fresh to grab keys and go again
its total vfm bike and a nice teacher if you are planning to upgrade to litre class bikes..... one question here..should i go for first service at 500 kms or at 750-800kms which of these is advisable? afterwards can i follow 3000kms cycle?

So i hear a video of cbr250 vs ninja 250r is doing the rounds on the forums...
Well here is something to counter that point of view
Check this out, these guys raced a 100% stock cbr250 engine and claimed to beat 22 ninja 250r in CMRA E superstock series by 5 seconds.
And after that the same bike won the CMRA 2 hour endurance race by a lap.

Maybe its the rider and not the ride. I am just reading this with an open mind. After many late nights last week race prepping our new CBR, we took it to Motorsport Ranch in Cresson Tx, for its first race. Ryan Andrews won the E Superstock race (against 22 EX250s) by more than 5 seconds. Then we entered the CMRA 2 hour endurance race, and took the overall win by a full lap. We also set the fastest lap of the day by over 1.5 seconds. Thanks to Road and Track Suspension in san antonio tx for the suspension work, Kyle at M4 exhausts, and Dante @ Bazzaz for the late night tech support.

Advice #1 - Read owner's manualOriginally posted by drarchit View Postshould i go for first service at 500 kms or at 750-800kms which of these is advisable? afterwards can i follow 3000kms cycle?
Advice #2 - Reread owner's manual
Pls do not insult the bike!!!
Go for engine oil change when you observe the roughness in the engine & not specific to anything on ODO.Skill is what keeps you on a Motorcycle
