You mean HH Sinister? This is all I knew. Any good link is appreciated.

PS - If that were the case, then shouldn't the people worldwide crib about this issue? Or is it due to our poor riding conditions makes us feel so?
I doubt Bybre is used elsewhere for the CBR in other countries....

BTW you have asked the same question else where too, why here again??
International brands cannot solve the query cz i dont think they have heard about Brembo and KBX collaboration...

I guess the question of aftermarket (for you esp) has been solved too.

I wouldnt blame completely on riding skills...But yes contribute bit of engine braking and there you go. But on high speeds it wont brake when you are bumping a stray or boobs sized mountain humps on the street....

Opting the ABS option is the best way if you need that bite.

Needless to say, this is what I'm following since last week!!!

That's the last option; I'll have to seal off the additional drain bolt that comes from rear & the third one, which I don't know what it is for. This is the best option as the juggad will be done only once, but maintenance will be easier.

There should be better quality kevlar/creamic pads available in the aftermarket which will easily last much much more than stock pads. Not sure if they are available for CBR, though they are easily available for Honda Cars. The kevlar pads for a Honda Civic last 2-2.5 times more and cost the same as OEM brake pads(semi metallic) which Honda provides.
@antz.bin: I am indeed using HH Sintered pads from Galfer Racing. Though they need come heat to operate perfectly, once the temperature is high enough, they work seamlessly.

No idea about front. Sudeep should be able to shed some light

I own an ABS, and I am facing very very short life on the brake pads. I changed them to HH Sintered and am pretty satisfied. Shall send a link once I get home

More pistons would result in better braking but has no relevance at all to brake pad life.

Ji, I'm only worried about efficiency; say, even if the pads has to be changed for every 6K kms, I'm fine. But during the 6K kms, it should do its job perfectly for the speeds the bike is capable of doing.

Sasi - Point explained to Ji as above; don't care on the life. Price of pad is peanuts for the kind of job it is doing. But again, retrofitting Ninja's caliper kit assy etc is out of scope for the engineering difficulty + the cost. At the same time, a little juggad with ABS caliper kit is something that's acceptable. Hope you understand what I mean.

What is ASS for this bike in Chennai??? Which dealer/service center in Chennai is really good (having experience mechanics who can handle issues with this bike)??? I read thru the "Honda CBR 250 R Chennai Owners" thread in facebook and read that KUN honda in adyar did horrible service to one of the CBR owner. I am planning to buy one this month itself.

Quality issues was there before but not anymore in the newer lots ... Yes HMSI finally is doing something over it but having said that the issues are with first lot owners so I dont think you need to worry about those ..

Well you could approach Didar .. They handle you very well ! For A.S.S I would definitely recommend Didar (T.Nagar) and if in case you are closer by anna nagar then you can service at JSP (one of our xbhp member is satisfied with the service there ) .. Kun Honda was not like as its used to be .. Good news is that you get the bike max in 3 days here !

                    • Brakepads issue being discussed again! ? ! ?

Well, Agreed that the brakepads aren't that good in terms of durability. Why wait till honda supplies better quality ones or crib about it all day which leads to nothing? Try doing a search on ebay.com and you'll find brake pads from galfer racing which are a direct fit. They cost you more or less the same as what honda is selling them for and they work way better than stock. I tested them personally during my bunburner run last month. They work flawlessly and even after 4000kms later, they look absolutely new.

                      @ trustvishwas : +1 , Short yet a clear answer.

PS : After replacing stock pads with galfers, the hissing sound the front caliper makes while in motion disappeared.
FYI : I rode my pads for 8k kms and they are still good to be used for another 4k kms. My rear pads are still stock with the odo at around 11k+ and will last for anothr 3k kms atleast.

My bike does the job well of being a tourer, comfortness is very high but lacks in Headlight, topspeed, breaking etc. My brother is also in need of a bike so i thought of giving my TBTS to him and buy a new one for me. As of now i believe Suzuki GS150R does the job very well (but headlight does needs modification and not sure about breaking power).

Welcome to CBR family The quality issues were reported from the initial lots and company has begun making necessary replacements. I hope the newer lots are good without cribs.
Your switching from TBTS to CBR, unless you have had a prior experience of a sports bike, is stepping in to a totally different world. Definitely you will compromise the comfort of TBTS. CBR needs you getting used to it for initital period with wrist and back pains which will diminish with time. Though it is is decent in comfort on highway cruises, you just have to forget TBTS while you ride CBR. Not discouraging you buddy in anyway, just a word of caution.
Make up your mind before the switch.

+1. They are 2 different leagues. A purist bulleteer shuns any other bike while someone on a diet of sportsbikes, absolutely hates the Bullets.

While you will love the power delivery of the CBR, you will hate the pain in your arms, wrists and back. And when you get used to it, you will hate the lazy nature of the TBTS
