Nice clicks keep going

Finally got my registration number today ... I will get the IND number plate tomorrow ... So from thursday my tryst with CBR250R will commence ... Unfortunately there is an error in the engine number (its printed MC48E instead of MC42E) on my insurance and registration papers ... I will have to get them rectified from the dealer asap !

Congrats Rony. Do comment on the quality of 2012 model that you have. Do you feel it any better than the previous lot?

The paint and plastic quality is certainly better ... rest all I can comment only after riding my jezebel !

@Ivin - Last I heard was, HMSI supplies all the spares with a maximum of one week delay & not more than that. Pls check if you dealer has placed the order; if they haven't time to change to another reputed dealer (means, someone who's holding dealership with HMSI for a long time & does a good turnover)

The bike has completed more than 2000 kms with a bend in the left handle. They said they had placed an order, but they are not getting the part, I just returned from the svc and the spare parts manager promised one to be handed over before next friday(27th) or he will pluck one from a new bike and fit it.... Phew.. The long wait seems to be over...

Cost of Paid service

I got my bike serviced over the weekend at Saffire Bangalore and they charged 550 as standard paid service fee. Consumables and other replacement service charges (break pad fitting etc) extra.

It seems to be fake , just look at the picture carefully

This is the packing available everywhere in delhi. I saw the same packing at Reliance Autozone delhi also. I bought mine from a shop and it has the same packing.

PS - If you're able to get Collinite 845, go get it; no headache to figure out which is original & duplicate.

My Archangel : Honda CBR250R ABS (Black)

Bought the CBR250R ABS Black, yesterday night.
Took the delivery after an extensive PDI at around 9:30pm from Anaal Honda, Bhilai.
Went through a lot of hiccups to arrange the cash. ATMs out of order kind of troubles.
Had made up my mind that the delivery wouldn't be possible until 17th, but finally got it!

Finally keys in my hand, was on seventh heaven riding it to my home. CBR's sheer torque was crazy enough to make me this happy after a long time.

Booking was made on 10th April and i was'nt stated a date of delivery due to year ending. Out of anticipation, I used to call them daily and planned to visit every other day till i get a fixed date followed by multiple test rides of the Demo(just to make sure that my investment was worthy). On 13th showroom guys called me and said expected date was 24th.
Then yesterday, around 11 am they called me and told that their lot has arrived. Took a french bath and went zooming to the showroom. And, there it was... standing in the middle of the showroom hall with siblings : an orange CBR150R ,a Red 250 and a HRC coloured 250. Went straight to the bike with my eyes stuck on the black beauty bumping into two guys, ignoring them and continued moving towards the angel. Gosh, I was mesmerized!
The saleslady came. Before she could say anything i took out the booking receipt asking her if this one's for me. She checked the booking details while I examined the bike more like scanning every part of it. She came back explaining something and I was busy examining the bike. I asked her again, if this is the one for me. She said : yes sir, you can also check other bikes in storage. Before she could complete, I called my parents, checked if the funds can be arranged today. Dad was like "Calm down, what happened? Why do you need the money so urgently?". Its was a huge sum and they had planned it for the 20th. I told them the bike has arrived and i have inspected it. There is only one minute scratch(which was taken care, later) and the handle alignment seems to be alright. Dad told me to get the details for insurance and by 1:30pm he would inform if the money could be arranged. I told the saleslady that by 2pm, I will inform her. Went straight to the Oriental Insurance office and inquired details of Zero Depreciation. I was explained nicely (considering how excited i was). They told me that they have an agent at the showroom and there will be no hassles. Came back to home. At about 1pm, while eating my lunch, got a call from my father saying that he would come till 7pm. Called my friend(Rahul aka bamaboy from Gearheads) and we decided to get to the showroom at 4pm. Reached there at 4:30. We got the bike ready, checked every thing twice and thrice. Then discussed about the free goodies with the manager. Went to the ATM at 8pm, after a lot of hassles and visiting multiple ATMs and a little bit of grace from lady luck, the funds were arranged.
After a lot of haggling with the manager, we got a Cash discount of about Rs. 1600.
Took the delivery at 9:30 pm and rode it pamperly back to my room. Parked the CBR at the safest place. Took the RTR180 and dropped my father to the station.

The headlight and the gear lever needs a little adjustment, will get it done today evening.

I'm also planning a review/comparo of my Garage inmates : P220, RTR180 and CBR250R. Shortly after CBR250R breaks-in.

Just for the sake of ending this confusion both of them are original but the bottom image shows the new packing for ease of opening the answer is there in the video in the link it-self...................

Sorry for the above post aargee ........attaching a couple of pics,first is pitted toothed wheel (front) for ABS which i got replaced under warranty after 40days,other pic is of damage to my Akarapovic slip-on (around the front band) caused by the ASC guy who installed it for me...he took the bike for a test ride & while exiting the main gate of our society had to brake urgently as hadn't noticed a heap of sand kept for some maintainence work the vehicle stopped but he was not able to land his right leg in time so the front brake lever & foot-rest(which i replaced later)had to bear the brunt & in the process put a scratch on the slip-on as well looking at bike my heart sank ...actually this all thing happened right in-front of me & i saw him desperately trying to take the load on his leg,so i told him it happens don't worry even though i was desperately trying to control my anger.
