  • Final set of pics from the ride!

    Look at the front tyre!

And this is how the tyres looked.

    Excitement after reaching on top!

    Yummy! Isn't it?

When I booked STD version, I had a thought of putting PSD tyres. Though Now I have changed my booking to ABS as most peoples suggested, But still now I am in confusion. And extra 30K for ABS looks expensive to me.
      Option 1. NON-ABS + PSD
      Option 2. ABS + Conti
If I buy ABS version, then ABS + PSD is impossible for me atleast for one year. I know the importance of ABS in wet and slippery condition, But tell me which option will make more sense. Please suggest me something guys.
I will also suggest going for ABS version. PSD is better but Contigo is not that bad either. I've had satisfying experience with Contigo.

      • rear brake pads

the first ones lasted almost 9000km
front are still good for another 2-3k
i guess rear ones got used early because of the continuous dragging of rear brakes....it happens because the rear brake pedal is pressed down by my relaxed foot a little bit even when i am not applying brakes; i wish the brake pedal's default position was adjustable, a little bit lower down would help prevent the brake drag.....anyways, happy with the new set, they have a good bite.....price is a bit steep, costed 900 bucks, but worth it......attaching pics of my old baldies and the new set....happy riding

That's not a problem mate! You can rest your foot in such away that your instep is below brakelever but on brake stand! This will need little practise but in few days you will be comfortable with it. why to rest foot on brake lever?? when you can rest it without that!! your second brake pads looks very big?? is it noormal one?? mine R15 pads are like 1cm or more from metal pad, but your is like 4-5cms from metal pad

No, the PSDs are not stock. ContiGos are given as stock.
It looks awesome (not to forget the top notch grip)!!!
When I saw the PSD on an RTR160, I thought it looked great. But this fat one gives it even better looks.

BTW, I drooled over 2x250Rs and a Duke in a single group

900 rs for both or only rear ?
rear and font both costs 650 rs so 1300 rs for both is not expensive.

is that a recent price quote ? i had read here there had been price hike on most spare parts.....i was charged 900 for rear brakes only, including vat and labour charges....the MRP of the pads is 700, labour 100 plus 12.5% vat...roughly 900

hmmm, maybe the rear ones are costlier....dunno....will enquire on my next visit to the workshop....yeah i had read many people are trying that...they cost around 500 ? i am compulsive promotor of using only honda parts, so did not try that alternative...maybe next time

                    • Please clearly mention if you are talking about the brake pads of ABS model or Standard! ABS brake pads are much costlier .
