You'll need to install a rear tire hugger, something like this...

But the issue is that, there're presently none that is readily available off the shelf in the market. So you may have to fabricate one using C250R's standard tire hugger, PROVIDED, you're able to get the spare

There's nothing to worry on this too!!! There're several ways...
      1. Take an excuse for not having a GF
      2. Or an excuse to buy another ride
There're even worse things...but let's keep all those off from public forum

I take that even when you're in 6th gear, the neutral green lights glow, pls correct otherwise.

There should be a wire (IIRC blue in color) from the engine (clutch lever side) & its something got to do with it (Sry can't be more specific with my limited knowledge). Best option is to take to ASC & get it fixed. But I don't think there's anything "S" of serious on this one.

Yes aargee even in sixth gear the neutral green light glows. Yes i know it may not a big issue but the bike is giving me repeated small niggles always.

            • ^^^ Yup I can understand that. The biggest issue with C250R is everytime, you want to do something, you've to remove those big fairings. When the vehicle is under warranty, let's allow the ASC to do their jobs for what they're getting paid

Very very true aargee. Thought these may be very very small issues when compared to yours, but i am now thinking is this the thing that you get/expect while spending ~1.6 lakhs. May be some others don't agree with this part. Need to take the bike to the SVC for some other issues like
                  1) sound from the suspension
                  2) rattling sound from the front.
                  3) Neutral light probs.

I was waiting for the ordered windscreen to arrive so that i can do all these issues in one go.

                  • Engine oil level low

I just checked my engine oil level in the morning. I could barely see it at the lower most corner of the window. Planning to take it to the ASC in the afternoon just to be sure.

I don't know what to say, may be I need to compare mine with someone else's. I observed the engine getting rough this morning which was smooth until last evening. I've my own loads of issues

1.6L is to have paid for the price of the bike; there's no guarantee that the issues will not crop up. Had it been that way, then HMSI would've charged us some X amount saying, we charge X so that you don't get these issues isn't it ?

I guess its from the pothole. Get your fron suspension & fork checked thoroughly. Go to replace the parts instead of fixing, even if you've to wait (not at ASC, but, order the part & get it fixed later)

IMO, some loose contact or some connection issue, which is minor.

Yesterday my office friend came as a pillion with me, it had rained and the roads were wet. Today he refused my offer for a drop. Reason being when he reached home yesterday he noticed the backside of his shirt was fully spalshed with mud from my rear tyre . I am worried about my future GF being my pillion during rain, I don't want this thing to be a reason for our future break up.
                        Guys help me!
me too facing the same problem bro... none of my friends is ready to come with me as pillion now.. they are saying that i am using them as mud guard for the bike..

the temporary solution i have is
have a jacket/rain coat in hand when you have some pillion OR
ride between 30-40.. (i know this is very tough so i prefer the first one)
Everybody dies.. But, not everybody really live!!

Most people here have chosen the CBR without even a test-ride or a proper ownership feeback or knowing how it fares in the long run.. all cuz of the good will of HONDA. For the high premium they charge on all their bikes, sure this cannot be happening and they don't have to pay X rs for that guarantee.

I understand that you trying to pat yourself up, so not to feel bad or you said it for fun .. But the reality is that even when we are spending 50rs, we need to have a peace of mind over it. It is not that, I pay 60k for a rolex watch and then say, they would have charged 20k more to guarantee that it will run without issues.. If that is the case, then there is no point buying a Rolex over an average priced Titan..

It is the right of a consumer to question it be it major or minor, and I am sure you know it being a part of a consumer forum.

I am sure HONDA would have woken up by now on these issues and are working to address them.. But this could have been earlier, for the kind of name they have..

Honda is not Bajaj or TVS to wake up for fear of loosing Indian market....neither are they as organised as the two mentioned Indian manufacturer...After delinking from Honda, Hero Honda spares are now more easily available, and are cheaper....
Honda launches CBR without basic spares in place with the A.S.S.
Honda leaves the traditional Tappet aligning system and puts in the SHIM adjustment method....and neither the shims nor the Digital Vernier are available with most A.S.S. .....and after warranty you have to pay through your nose to get it attended with A.S.S.
Many users are still in 'Honeymoon" phase with the CBR.....
Only time will tell the fate of this model..
Two of the good tourers at affordable price....

                            • Clocked 128 KMPH yesterday on the Nice Road (bangalore). Managed to keep 128 KMPH for around 5-7 seconds. RPM was 7-8K. No vibes.
                              Pretty happy with the performance.

                              • my first post here.....clocked almost 1000km....no hassles so far.....enigne is as smooth as a warm knife on butter
regarding the complaint of knocking at low RPMs, i guess it is pretty natural.... knocking is supposed to occur at low RPMs, its the way of the engine letting you know "rev up dude !!!"
going for my 1st service tomorrow, any advice from the veterans here ??

ps: the guys @ my ASC are offering a chain cleaning for 150 bucks.....considering the amount of muck my chain has gathered, thanks to a rainy ride few days back, im tempted to get it done.....feedback from any1 got it done already ?
