I am using 38 SMD led in my ZMR from a year , have no issue .

Also i think other ZMR owners have tried upto 9 smd led only , i don't remember any one having 28 smd led .

68 smd led would be of oversize check for the space for parking bulb inside reflector with this method http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/universa...tml#post710665 also look for 42 smd led . And one more thing these are available at low cost on ebay.com than ebay.in .

Asked the mech to remove all fairings and tighten them which only worked for like the first 15 kms i rode away from the ASC.
Then came back two weeks later and asked them to sort it out. Told them its from the console area and i even told them that the glass on the speedo must be loose and to check it. I dont know what they did in there but the problem was fixed for a week or two and then it came back.
Decided to ignore it for a very long time and was successful. If you put ur helmet's visor down you probably wont even hear it.

But now after second service and running a few kms its totally gone(or maybe its just that all the avoiding has finally helped my brain Unregister that sound) I dont hear it at all.
Need to check it after the next service then..

had that too.. vanished gradually after 1st service.. or maybe they tightened something.. feels like coming from the rear end.. like plastic vibrating...
yeah been just more than a month since i bough it.. first service done too.. still facing the issue after first service.. need to get it to ASC soon..

Yash, take it to an ASC and yank their beards a bit. Make then check every screw, tell them you're going to insist they load it up a lift if needed. Check Cowl and faring screws. Apart from a little stiff 'engine purr', or the 'rubber on road fffrrrrr' when the bike is new, no other sound.

      Cheers all
yes, got to get it to ASC this weekend..

After having a talk with the accident supervisor in the insurance company, He told me that the company generally pays a certain percentage of the labor charges but in my case as I've given my bike in Venetian Honda they wont pay any labor charges. I asked if I had given the bike in some other service centre would they pay for it? He told a certain percentage would be paid in other service centers except Venetian I dont get the logic here. Do insurance companies generally pay for any labor charges? I would be glad to get some help on this issue

        Thanks
When I got my wheel replaced under insurance, I had to play for labour as well (the entire amount of labour). The insurance didn't cover it and this was at OM Sai, Charkop. If its of any help, I have always had to pay for labour even when I used to claim for insurance of parts for my Pulsar.

i did read your post in zmr thread and hence got the idea for 38 LED and more as @rahul rods.. stated the housing does not have much space so will settle down with 10 or so...

          thanks for the info dude.

don't get 68 smd its big for cbr pilot housing.
i have also got the big pilot light like small projecter and i find it defficult to put it there in pilot housing and it was touching the plastic from inside.

i will suggest u to get 10 smd led bulb for cbr. its easy to install and looks same as 68 smd or 28 smd not much diffrence.

between have you got your gray plastic part carbon fibered wid 3m tape ?
i was wating for your pic

its easy you can do it yourself. just find that pilot bulb holder wid your hand and turn it and take the stock parking bulb out and put new one in and then 1st check it then put it back there and if its not working then try to put bulb in opp direction .
as suggested will go for 10 SMD T10..

the carbon fiber roll had landed in india from japan. .should be with me by mid next week... eagerly awaiting for the same..

i got Osram night breaker and will order LED.. next service should be soon so will get all this work together then for the servicing he will anyways open the fairing so will add the bulb and led's then also will get the gray parts out and so the roll can be applied easily...

thanks for all the guidance regarding the Carbon fiber and Led's dude..

without seeing your pic.. i would not have got the idea of carbon fibre usage.. for the gray plastic is pretty mediocre in HRC and looks odd..

                            • Hello friends
                              @GT007
yeah i too got my bike with white LED bro dont know but seen other CBR with yellow parking lights.

BTW my experience so far:- 300 km running in 3 days (I apologise coz am riding illegally right now without registration but cant help as i have no means of transport(no cab too) to my company at 430 am which is 25 km far from my home so am resetting my trip meter after every 80 km usually i dont suggest this to anybody out there)

My bike had reached showroom within stipulated time they had said it would take 10 days yet my bike came in just 5 days.

I was shocked when I heard my bike had arrived earlier then expected. I was patient all the time and didnt chase the ASC (from my previous Unicorn experience)

It took me 4 days to arrange money and get documents ready.

I still had my Unicorn which had its new piston block but didnt feel like riding her again, so went for CBR STD 250 tricolor.

Again thanks to all of you for imparting great knowledge on this forum so went for PDI @2PM on 3rd july.

The side panel was damaged on LHS so told them to change it, they were happy to do so, got panel changed.

Inbetween I got a call from my friend informing about his intentions to buy my bike,
and I looked at ASC guys and they said I can take my bike the same day
provided i make rest of the payement. Which my friend readily agreed to pay. And in the excitement forgot Rest of PDI .

My friend came over we payedthe sum but there was an issue the fuel guage indicator was blinking and i stood firm and told them to fill 2 litres of fuel which they did after a bit of hesitation (later when i fillled the tank it took 9 liters in total got first hand experience of the guage). Went for a Pre delivery ride i gave them thumbs up and i left. while they assured me that they will deliver the papers once the registration is done in next 10 days.

                              So far soo good.

From my previous Honda bike i had learnt that the bike heats up pretty fast and My CBR was no exception also I didnt jump the gun if i had noticed any sort of vibration etc. (as i used to harass ASC when i had bought Unicorn 3 years back).

I had decided to wait for 1000 km and then decide about the same now what I had observed was
                              1) the bike was pulling towards left and on one right hander it almost slipped even at leisurely pace.
                              2) vibrations at lower RPM.

so it dawned upon me i forgot to check many points during PDI so I checked once again and to my amazement there was no freeplay on the drive chain .
I took her next day to ASC where they promptly got it checked and rectified.

they had opened the triple clamps to loosen up the steering and i almost jumped when the mechanic had a big screw driver and a hammer.
I told them to bring the service manual and show me the procedure and stood quiet firm. then they realised am a tough cookey to crack.
so they opened it up and corrected it.

Am happy the way my bike rides also
                              1) there is no lugging what so ever.
                              2) vibrations at low RPM but am sure it will vanish once i complete my running in and oil change (again Unicorn experience at play)

last night though my LHS RVM started rotating while i was coming back from my friends place (think someone played with it in parking lot)
the next day went to a hardware store at 8 am and bought a complete set of allen keys @150 bucks (cheaper ones no options there) and tightened the RVM and am happy now.

stats so far in a nut shell:-
                              1) at 3000 RPM the gear change feels rough. while at 4000-5000 its like butter smooth.
                              2) bike is super comfortable
                              3) Engine heats up a bit not an issue though but i make it a point to stop after every 25 km or so.
                              4) touched 6000 rpm and top speed done was 85 kmph at leisurely throttle.
                              5) the tyre as many say are okish, grip is an issue on wet surface.
                              6) no pain in my body as of now. (maybe due to frequent stops and city riding mostly.
                              7) no lugging
                              8) front brake lever can be deepressed to halfway now (old habit of using extensive front brake)
                              9) White LED parking lights company fitted (doubtful though)

                              Fun bit:-

                              Questions asked
                              frequent questions:-
                              a) Mileage
                              b) cc 150/250
                              c) cost (and when i tell them the cost the next reply as usual Tata Nano)
                              d) top speed
                              e) how many gears
                              f) can it beat karizma
                              g) cash/downpayement (if i say cash they look at me from head to toe
                              so i go with downpayement)

unusual questions (jogs your brain ok whacks sometimes) and these questions follow after the frequent questions qouted above.

                              a) can we fit CNG/LPG kit? (me nodding to say no while my mouth was bursting out to laugh)
b)one guy at signal "hey dude where is the under seat exhaust?"
                              me:- (scratching my helmet)
guy at signal isnt this bike worth 5 lac
                              me :- no

                              c) why/where did u get your bike rear tyre changed? cost of tyre?

                              d) two guys in local language (they didnt know i am one of them)
guy1:- bro check out new bike launched by Yamaha, I went to Yam ASC yesterday and it looks good
guy2:-look at that tank bro - look at the guys belly(referring to me)
                              me:- fuming under my helmet)

                              e) is this 150 R did u get 250 R sticker on your bike from where???

Random things people do when they see a faired bike (new too)

                              1) they overtake from wrong side
                              2) overtake recklessly (on ofcourse 100cc bike)
                              3) park their bikes next to you while riding and look at your bike while neglecting others safety (almost had 3 incidents without any damage)
                              4) no offence but as soon as P220 guys notices CBR their BP shoots up coz they ride like crazy in insane traffic.
                              5) guys challenging you for drag in insane traffic.
                              6) guys trying to converse with you while riding

overall one thing i have learned by buying this bike is how to be in a ZEN state of mind and to chill. let others hog the limelight. some thing which i used to shamefully do earlier like trying to catch a Busa owner.

Hahahahaha. So very true some of them. Especially when they make Yam comparisons. Love it when i maintain a smooth city crawl speed and it gets to so many of them.

Nice post mate, loved it. Glad the bike's all sorted now.
