I have been through this charger links and its also posted in the DIY section but isnt very precised. I am thinking of a more generic 12v cigarette lighter socket (as in cars) which can be widely useful (except for lighting cigarettes ) and want to mount it under seat to make it weather and tamper proof. Will update the same.
Or if i source this in India, would be nice..

Am using this charger (IdeaForge) on my P220. Connected it to the parking light circuit. Doing a decent job, although the cell takes more time to charge. It provided with a nokia pin (big old one) and 3 other connectors. You get plenty of other connectors to charge whatever phone you like.

      • I don't understand why do we need any charger ?? that too pined with bike circuits???

Ain't home time charging enough?? Once if any wiring goes wrong or gets wet than your sensors and circuits are at toss!!

        Why to take risk???

ROTFL!!! It was an instantaneous thought

Somen - Though I'm not in for altering stock, to each his own;may be they want to tour Leh/Ladakh or want a continuous charge while using the phone on the ride (I mean not talking, using GLat or something)

              • When i start my bike in the morning the idling is around 1.6-1.7k rpm. it doesn't go upto 2k rpm. But i wait for some 10-20 seconds. Then it falls slightly to 1.5k rpm.

is it normal ? i read the idling will be around 2k rpm initially when you first start the bike.

There is no risk bro! I know what i am doing and what i need very well and it wouldnt be altering the stock settings, no wire cuts and completely revesible.

I use my cellphone/tablet for gps routes oftenly and also carry a lot of gadgets. And Its not just charging cellphones but a lot more and will update all the advantages when done.
The reason i asked this here is to gain any inputs from guys who have done any such thing on CBR.

If it starts anywhere between 1.5k-2k rpm and settles at 1.5k in a few seconds, its normal. The starting rpm is from the reading from varios sensors and thus may vary.

BTW, here in Mumbai, ASCs were calling CBR customers for a checkup camp and said a team from Honda engineers, Japan would check the bikes. I am restricted to ride or drive due to spinal operation last month and i still took my bike there thinking it would be good. Chicmagnet, MD24 and Harsh were also there. I gave them a list of all the issues i had with the bike and thought they would do some help. But that turned out to be just a marketting survey where they asked us a lot of questions that would help them bring a new product. The bikes were washed but nothing more done. I had a G2G with other guys, so no regrets.. But if you guys get a similar call, beware..

                    • Nobody has replaced the taillights yet? The stock one is very boring compared to good LED ones of duke or r15
