OK..
Steps for the problem mentioned by @yashwanthms and also faced by me:
1. Ride to 2nd gear.
2. RPM meter reading 3-4 rpm.
3. (Lets say there is a speed breaker ahead or an auto comes in the way suddenly). Leave the throttle down completely.
4. Now I hear something like "dhuk" sound. Its not rattling/buzzing sound.
- If the throttle is left slowly, no sound is heard.
- If clutch is pressed, no sound is heard.
- Not sure if it is knocking. (But I don't think its knocking)
- If the above procedure is done above 5 rpm, very very mild sound heard. But is it justified to take new bike at 5-6 rpm @gear 2 and 3??
Query:
While riding in bad traffic/rush hours, rpm cannot be taken above 4-5, also riding at gear 1 doesn't seem a good option. So what to do..!!?

Few Queries:
1. First engine oil (@run-in) should be at 500kms or 1000kms..? (I checked aargee's posts, but couldn't find it there.)
2. When I have to go for ride, I switch on the bike, and wait till temperature shows 3 bars. Should this procedure be followed or not required?
3. During Run-in period, changing gears at 4-5 rpm (for 1,2,3 gears) and 5-6 rpm (for 5-6 gears). (Although read in aargee's posts, but still confirming.).
4. Was really confused whether to go for
Accessory Required:
1. Guys please suggest me where can I get Yoshimura Honda CBR250R Chassis Protector Kit in India(preferable near chennai/banglore). I tend to drop bike at 1-10kmph speed. My Karizma suffered a lot 'coz of that. Don't want to repeat that for baby blade. Really need it.

2. Need some suggestion on paint protection. And where it could be done in/around chennai.
First Riding Impression:
I m Loving It..

I m Loving It..
Whole day am just thinking of an excuse to get on my blade and ride..
.. If anything is required at home.. I m the one going for it.. Riding to every friends home not because I want to flaunt my new bike, But 'coz I just want to ride.
No wrist paint, No palm pain, no shoulder etc pain as I had read a lot about all misc pains and took care of it in my riding style..
And about the FEEL that I get.. well.. whenever we watch a movie actor's entry with a superbike, everybody is noticing him, he knows but doesn't show, thats exactly the way I feel when I m on my blade..
And with all due respect to every other bike and resp. bike lovers, I seriously think CBR250R(ABS) is the best bike made for INDIA. Suspension for potholes, ABS for dusty roads.. well I m really loving it..
Kitna Deti Hai..??
310 kms
9.8 ltrs petrol
= 31.68 (following the full tank method)
Top speed - 138kmph
avg speed - 80kmph.
And this is in first 5 days (Engine Run-In period) So I think its more than enough for me.. :-D
M not a photographer.. but just can't stop myself from capturing my blade(taken from SII)..

Near to 5 is comfortable, may be 5 too, 6K is like starting to rev the engine; nothing wrong though; BTW, these are in 2nd gear, 3rd is fine with these RPM's.Originally posted by Jay Tanwar View PostBut is it justified to take new bike at 5-6 rpm @gear 2 and 3??
I've a bad habbit to shifting between 1-N-2 & mostly to N after shifting to 2nd instead of half clutch in 2nd; I wouldn't encourage anyone to do this unless you've very very careful as it sometimes is a big threat to oneself. Remember one thing, 1st gear & open clutch, the bike moves at 7 Kmph comfortably; 2nd gear & open clutch, the bike moves between around 12-13 Kmph. No knocking, no jerks, absolutely nothing. May be you need to use the combination of 1st & 2nd.Originally posted by Jay Tanwar View PostWhile riding in bad traffic/rush hours, rpm cannot be taken above 4-5, also riding at gear 1 doesn't seem a good option
No, it is there; pls re-read; change it when you feel the engine is rough; have been saying this multiple times.Originally posted by Jay Tanwar View Post1. First engine oil (@run-in) should be at 500kms or 1000kms..? (I checked aargee's posts, but couldn't find it there.)
It's not a book rule; all through the 29K km, what I RELIGIOUSLY follow is, to wait until a single bar shows up & then ride very very sane until 3 bars show up & then gradually open the throttle. As a matter of fact, I don't open the throttle suddenly unless there's an absolute requirement. Revving up is different though.Originally posted by Jay Tanwar View Post2. Crash bobins? Search this ownership thread, someone mentioned its price was 12K or so to protect the fairing of Rs 1000 or so. Is it worth?Originally posted by Jay Tanwar View Post1. Guys please suggest me where can I get

Weekend Ride Update
Covered 795 kms in last two days! Myself and 3 of my other friends. Our plan was to goto Kodaikanal. But after we reached Coimbatore, we changed our plans and went to Ooty! It was a wonderfull ride through some of the most awesome roads, twisties and forests.
And as expected, CBR was brilliant. Truly an awesome sports tourer.
While going, my PSD got a big nail on its sidewalls. It was scary. But it was fixed by inserting the strip from two sides. There is a slight protrusion on the sidewall now. But still, the PSDs on my rear wheel was kickass. Such an awesome confidence inspiring tyre it is.

A weekend solo ride
Fell totally in love with my CBR again this time. Went on a solo ride to my home town Shimoga via Chitradurga. 330 kms one way, and back to Bangalore. Overall 700 kms this weekend and I never felt alone with my baby with me all the time! So proud to own a CBR! Showed my taillights to almost all the vehicles in the route(if you know what I mean
) Top speed achieved was around 142. And not even a single problem
I had to take breaks only twice while going. Once a tea break and then a petrol break. And on the way back, covered a stretch of 40 kms in NICE road in 20 mins! My fastest time in that stretch it was, averaging 120kmph!

Did you try Gudalur-Ooty stretch, has some curves, but are not safe enough as Madikeri, yes, they're a little scary, I agree.

Agreed, I was talking about that stretch in my route map. We took the Ooty - Kotagiri - Mettupalayam route which is a little longer than the other just for the lovely roads and less/no traffic.Originally posted by aargee View PostNo, if you love curves...nothing beats Madikeri

Haven't tried the Gudalur - Ooty stretch yet. Maybe next time

Hello friends. I am new to the club. Just want a suggestion. I am planning to buy a CBR but was wondering whether to go for the ABS or non-ABS version. Is it possible that riding the ABS version can spoil my braking habits and can be dangerous while I am riding any other bike.
