What do you think? After that the repetitive questions will be stopped? Another bloke will suggest saying the FAQ's should appear at the end of every last post!!! Even if that were incorporated, some bloke will say the FAQ's should automatically open the moment he thinks about themOriginally posted by Binoy View PostExactly I too wanted to make this sticky or rather update in the first page of the ownership
Point - As long as people don't have eyes & mind to go through things, no amount of help will help!!!Last edited by aargee; 07-30-2012, 03:36 PM.Skill is what keeps you on a Motorcycle

you are rite. But I can also see a couple of positive responses in that favor. My point is if we can add this as sticky or include in the first page a new prospective owner/person who checks the ownership, fairly can have an idea about the bike, which I assume we can see less amount of repeated questions. Usually a new member will be checking the first page first
. May be I am wrong

I have few doubts about buying a slip on for my CBR. Is there a post/thread about it as well or it has not been discussed yet?

i've fixed cigg. lighter under seat.. gave direct wiring from battery with one fuse in between.. thus no playing with CBR's wiring.. if ny thing goes wrong that fuse breaks circut n every thing is safe.. Mounting it under seat even helps to lock the mobile or I-POD while charging in parking etc..

I use my cellphone/tablet for gps routes oftenly and also carry a lot of gadgets. And Its not just charging cellphones but a lot more and will update all the advantages when done.
The reason i asked this here is to gain any inputs from guys who have done any such thing on CBR.

Great!! Thats what i am doing execpt i plan to source the supply from the city lights with help of a spilter so that i dont cut the wires and can be used only when the ignition and city lights are turned on. So, the connection would be from tail light saving a long wire too. What fuse have you used? I have noticed that even after harsh washing or rains, the water doesn't enter the under seat compartment.. So its weather proof too. Any pics of the socket mount?Originally posted by appugodara View Posti've fixed cigg. lighter under seat.. gave direct wiring from battery with one fuse in between..You gotta risk it.. to get da biscuit !!!

As i am on this Tyre search for Long time ,
listening to ppl (Dunlop,ContiGo,PSD)
Have'nt bought any because of Money issue
But now i am planning to Buy it Next Month
Now when i went to this reliable Tyre Shop
He told me wait for neXt month as Michelin tyres will be available

i searched online and Found some good reviews for Pilot Activ 140/70 *17*
any one has any better IDea OR Experience ?

Are you sure its only Pilot Activ thats going to be offered? If Pilot 2 drops in its going to be VFM! Its a dual compound tyre with hard compound at the centre for less wear and soft compound at the sides for cornering grip. I hope the tyre companies wake up and offer more choices for the 250R.Originally posted by kimshine View PostAs i am on this Tyre search for Long time ,

With that said, anybody seen the MRF Zapper ad with the 250 cc bikes? It also had a CBR 250R there but i was told Zapper's speed rating is very poor.
Also going to give my bike for engline block repainting. They finally wake up after 3 months and decide to take up my case for repainting. However im still in two minds of handing over the bike for 4-5 days at the ASc. Also wondering if they know how much torque to apply on the engine mount nuts or else i would suffer from serious vibrations later on
Got a $5 head? Get a $5 helmet.

New CeeBeeR in city..
Hey Guys...
Got my black ABS CeeBeeR 3 days back..
I am staying in Chennai (TN).
I liked both red+silver and black+silver CBR but just fell in love with Full black( except silencer muffler and alloys) CBR.. So got my CBR upper body silver parts painted to black. The paint work was taken care by DIDAR HONDA themselves and costed me 3500 (including Taxes).
Couldn't get owner's manual as it was out of stock, but downloaded it from net.
@aargee: really appreciate the posts #7500, #7600 and #8200, cleared most of my doubts..
@yashwanthms: dude even I am facing the same issue as mentioned in your post #9557.
i.e. If I ride cbr @gear 2 upto rpm 5k, and then leave the throttle, there is a "thuk" kind of sound. Same thing is observed @gear 3. at RPMs higher than 5k, the sound still can be heard if observed very carefully. So thinking to show it to ASC guys this saturday..
Not sure how to upload pics in the post..
Please check this link for few pics..

Nithesh, a guy here is getting his block replaced for paint chipping issue. I dont think repainting would help or last.Originally posted by Nithesh View PostAlso going to give my bike for engline block repainting.
So far AFAIK, PSD is the best yet known for cbr but the warranty(ISI) and availability is the issue. Michelin would be great addition but i fear would be too costly. Anybody here tried the Duke 200's front tyre on the CBR??You gotta risk it.. to get da biscuit !!!

What is this kimshine? Being a long time owner you're too missing those posts on #7600 & #8200Originally posted by kimshine View PostAs i am on this Tyre search...any one has any better IDea OR Experience ?
Tks & good to know its serving the purposeOriginally posted by Jay Tanwar View Post@aargee: really appreciate the posts #7500, #7600 and #8200, cleared most of my doubts
Then its time to update the thread;Originally posted by Jay Tanwar View Post@yashwanthms: dude even I am facing the same issue as mentioned in your post #9557
DO NOT run or shift gears at so low RPMs & obviously the vehicle will jerk; I asked ppl to report riding in excess of 4-4.5K RPM & give a try & none of them got back!!!
Hmm...Originally posted by Jay Tanwar View PostIf I ride cbr @gear 2 upto rpm 5k...to ASC guys this saturday

Yes. Its MRF. The front is exactly the same size i.e 110/70-17 and is said to be very grippy by the duke owners (I even read somewhere that despite the duke is lighter, it feels too heavy to push the bike and they blame these tires for itOriginally posted by aargee View PostIs it MRF? ). The rear is one size up at 150/XX-17. So that wouldn't be useful to us unless one doesn't mind going over stock. Once i did hear from a stranger uncle from Pune who rides a CBR250R and his son too has his own CBR250R which had these tires installed (both front and rear) and were way better than contigo.. But no first hand experience.
