Btw, My bike still vibrates a lot even after repeated visits and 3rd service. The vibration starts above 4-5k rpm and felt on seat, handlebar and foot pegs.. The vibration of seat is the most annoying on long trips and makes me pull out unneccessay halts.. Tightening of essential bolts and chain setting have been done. Fairing is also fitted properly. The SVC say its Normal, but it wasn't so in the beginning.. And definately not normal.. There is no problem with performance or mileage.. Its all fine except the other issue i.e: the rattling sound at 4.5k which the SVC arent ready to accept as an issue..
hi, i would like to now if this vibration is felt when you are riding or even when bike is in standstill neutral gear ?

          relief
Its been long since i was thinking about chain and sprocket cost.
I was wondering that it will be above 5000.
Did any one here know the price of clutch plates (pressure + clutch plates) i am expecting again above 5000.

          • Hey, Thanks a lot Sudeep
I too was expecting it to be around 3.5k. But a big relief. Now i wonder if spending on Motul clean & lube is worth or not? I cleaned and lubed my chain regularly, and the chain sprocket kit is gone in just 15k. The replacement cost if is Rs.1800 (roughly) then we actually spend about same or more amount on clean and lube.. I dont know if my thought is valid or not. But i feel the life of chain and sprockets should be much more..
You gotta risk it.. to get da biscuit !!!

I have read a lot on both the bikes and i cant pretty much make up my mind/
As CBR250r is a decent sports tourer and well a Bullet is a Bullet they cant be compared.
But since am going to bike the first time and I want it to be with me for a long time I would like to choose one which can last.
My usage would be only on weekends for long rides and once a week ride to my office.
With all the problems with the C500 I am inclined towards the Ceeber but I would like to know what kind of resale value can i expect after say 5-6 yrs of usage.
              Kindly help a fellow rider.
              Thanks & Regards
              A lil help guys plz...

                    • Was having overheating issues after buying my CBR 6 days back. Today - went for a 100Km ride to check if it really was an issue. While on the highway - the temperature stayed at 3 bars consistently. The problem started in stop-go traffic - 5 bars.
Took the bike to the showroom, kept the engine at idle and called the manager out. Revved it a little and the temperature gauge shot upto 6 bars!
And then - the coolant leaked out
The manager said - tension lene ki zarurat nahi.. aap le jaao ghar -- kal le aana.
I said - apne mehnat ke paiso se li hai bike - kyun na lu tension.
Kept the bike at the showroom and asked them to fix the issue before they give it to me.
It was a funny sight for others - seeing a fully geared rider in a shared auto to home

Lets just hope these are early jitters and the CBR doesn't disappoint

Problem could be due to failure of Radiator fan/control unit, since on the move the cooling is acceptable and while stationary the temperature goes beyond 5 bars.

Crossed the 100 mph barrier, finally!

Congrats on the 100mph. Which road did you take for that?
Saw you today morning in the BTM signal. Hope you didn't see a fully geared rider on the opposite side
