prime the pump multiple times before hitting the starter. this will ensure correct pressure in the fuel lines all the way to the injector.

unsure on the issue with side stand please explain with more detail and i will try to help you. yes get the battery charged completely and then toggle engine kill switch few times.

Congrats arvstreetracer, your CBR looks very beautiful. By the way, I have been seeing this CBR on olx as well. Haha. Really glad to see it with a fellow xBHPian. I am from Chandigarh plus I was not sure of CBR so did not even call the owner. Wishing you many happy miles.

system g is a fuel additive for petrol engines that helps remove/minimize deposits and helps the fuel burn better. theironhorse99 is the official supplier of system g to me . Another alternative if you can't find system g is "Adon P". This is sold at most IOC petrol bunks while the system g used to be available at BP bunks.
As for the bearings and cone set(steering stem bearings/cup and ball bearings as its locally called) I strongly suggest you get these parts at the SVC itself.

here are links to the part manual (a older version for reference)
100% satisfaction guaranteed on every domain we sell. 30-day, no questions asked, money-back guarantee. Easy, fast and convenient shopping.

I was going to get a new CBR250R, but got a good deal on a used one, done 8100KM on odo, with each service records maintained on paper (6 timely services including 5 free ones) with KM mentioned. It is 10/2011 model, registered in January 2012, still has extended warranty valid till January 2017, and the motorcycle is in great shape.

wow...Congrats!!!
Thats really a well maintained bike from pic. Aslo wondering to see the odo reading just 8K kms in 3.5years.

Thanks Harisankar!

Yes the bike was well-maintained by previous owner (a businessman who rides quite less). Again, it's in good hands now

Checked with a Honda showroom here. These guys have a Repsol Edition of CBR250R ABS in their stockyard. Asked them about the manufacturing dates and they told me it was manufactured in May. Yet to check the VIN number of the bike. Will be going in tomorrow and getting more details from them. Will post more on this later. If the bike is ok I guess I will start processing bike loan and by max 1 week should go ahead with purchase. Was actually thinking that they will have new colours. But luckily they have a repsol edition. The new colour scheme for CBRs will be from November only. :-)

For finance, check with the dealership. They have finance option as well.

Hi Guys!

My CBR has done 21k on Oddo and i'm planning to change my OIL from the Honda oil to either Shell or Motul. Which of the two is better and is there any noticeable difference after changing the oil!

P.S - I use Shell Fully Synthetic on my Apache 180!

Hey guys,

Mentioned in my post earlier that a dealer here in Chennai had stock of CBR250R ABS version. Its the Repsol edition which is in stock and May manufactured one. Paid booking amount. Will have to submit all details and documents for loan processing tomorrow. Hopefully by a week or so I will have the bike at home :-)

back to the story:finally landed up at one of the ASC in bathinda named BRAR motors with all my stuffs like radiator guard (home made version) two liters shell rimula etc etc. so from here the show begins. after making prior appointment with them they clearly denied on reaching for the same. one of the intellectual manager told me that- sir apko kal ke liye kaha hoga(maybe you are asked to come tommorow). After making them understand that my aural capacities are normal, they kept me to wait good 3-3.5 hours. after having pity for me, finally they started doing the job. i confirmed them earlier that oil+airfilter has to be changed with other lil issues. nodded by them to yes, told them to fill in mine bought oil to which they denied clearly. after talking to the manager, they agreed by taking my written consent for the same. so they emptied out old one oil which has changed its colour but still thick & sticky. looking upon the condition of oil it was clear that it was never changed so far. this has made my decision of giving it a rimula wash further strengthened. i asked to move further to oil filter to which knowledgeble mechanic said that there is no need to change the same as it is only 5500 kms(total kms covered till now). i was like . when show him the manual, he said koi fark ni painda yaara(it doesnt affect nything). upon insisting he goes to the store of the ASC & came back with a good reply: sir oil filter is not in stock. when i crossed him that confirmation is given earlier by the ASC for the same he said it was given by mistake. i shook my head with what to do now as changing oil of different grade without changing filter was not looking promising. so quickly made a call to some experienced friends & they also confirm to the same. so left with no choice i asked him to put back the oil filter & pour fresh OME oil and went for a pee break. when returned i saw that he is pouring ACTIVA oil (mineral one from some silver grey bottle). when enquired he show his SAB CHALTA HAI attitude to which i blasted hard to the manager & both mechanic. after realising, they said to wait for 10-15 days for the KALI WALI BOTTLE(OEM FS OIL). so screeching my head i told about other niggle issues to which he solved. as getting late and time to close ASC is near, they completed the task and ask me to wait for the bike wash to which i agreed. when the bike was taken to the washing zone, i just for curiousity talked to the boy there.
me: what are you going to use to wash it
he: this is the soap sir(dirty soap bar indicated)
me: is this car wash soap
he: no, this is ghadi detergent
I: WHAT. instantly went to the the manager
I: i dont want my bike to be washed
manager: why
I: have some standard sir. washing bike with detergent bar?
manager: dont worry. this is not dish washing soap, it is fabric washing soap
i:. just wait i will bring some shampoo.

so this was the way the herculean task ended.
Replacements done: air filter+ rear brake pads+OEM oil.
handed a bill of 1990rs. feel like cheated thoroughly.

this is my first experience with honda asc as i bought the bike recently merely 15 days before, so gathering the so called EXPERIENCE this way. what i am annoyed bout their attitude. they literally cant differentiate between an activa engine and cbr engine. i can imagine how this morons screw one's beloved ride if the customer depends entirely on them. lesson learnt:Never ever leave your bike to asc. all they care about vitamin M. nyways thanks for the suggestion hypheni

also should i go for running this so called OEM oil for 1000km then drain it and pour rimula for next 1000-1500 kms then switch to shell ultra fs with oil filter change every time. senior riders please suggest. thanks in advance
