    Fly GPS,Mobile. Pda,Mp4 360 Adjustable Secure Holder: Amazon.in: Electronics

    search on ebay,snapdeal etc.

The pic shows it to be attached to rear view mirror stem. But for the cbr and duke we can attach it to the nut on the clutch yoke. Its more like a universal mount that can be fixed on almost any bike.
@theironhorse99 uses this on his cbr250r
I use it on my duke
And I know a couple of others who use it on their cbr's(150/250)

Someone even seems to have set it up on the clip on screws at the base! http://www.amazon.in/product-reviews/B00J5CKTSW

It hold up very well.. only drawback,it doesnt have a water-proof case.

Here are some pics of it on my duke

i tried rynox clamp on rvm stem, didnt like the mounting.
Searched for fly mounting on net to find it out of stock.
Finally got it at a local shop for 350.
    Holder looks cheap quality.
So going for clamp from this cheap solution and waterproof pocket from rynox.

That was fast man! At 350rs is worth every penny.
The holder does its job pretty well. I've used it on many occasions inside the city as well as on highways.
And the only juggad i did, is to tape up the part where you remove the holder with duct tape since that is the weakest link. I remove the holder by unscrewing the plastic nut at the bottom rather than removing the holder where it clips on to the bottom part. I also applied some chain lube spray over the parts that move/expand outward, so that it expands freely and can be pushed back in.

Go ahead with whatever combo works for you And post some pics when its done, I am also looking for a waterproof case and your solution seems doable if the rynox waterproof pocket is a direct fit over this mounting

Agreed, for that price its too much. But somewhere in India, even if i found it for 10k, i would buy it because its sometimes fun to change instead of using the clutch always. So it'd be 90% clutch shift and 10% using the Quickshifter(only for fun) :P. I personally prefer clutch only.

        Cheers!

Whatever holder you guys purchase, just make sure you tag your cellphone with a mobile tag on to the RVM or so. Anytime these holders can let go off your mobile, no guarantee. If mobile doesn't have provision, just buy a silicon case and fix the tag (rope), it's that simple. Have seen some negative reviews for all type of holders, nothing is 100% safe

After making them understand that my aural capacities are normal, they kept me to wait good 3-3.5 hours. after having pity for me, finally they started doing the job. i confirmed them earlier that oil+airfilter has to be changed with other lil issues. nodded by them to yes, told them to fill in mine bought oil to which they denied clearly. after talking to the manager, they agreed by taking my written consent for the same. so they emptied out old one oil which has changed its colour but still thick & sticky. looking upon the condition of oil it was clear that it was never changed so far. this has made my decision of giving it a rimula wash further strengthened. i asked to move further to oil filter to which knowledgeble mechanic said that there is no need to change the same as it is only 5500 kms(total kms covered till now). i was like . when show him the manual, he said koi fark ni painda yaara(it doesnt affect nything). upon insisting he goes to the store of the ASC & came back with a good reply: sir oil filter is not in stock. when i crossed him that confirmation is given earlier by the ASC for the same he said it was given by mistake. i shook my head with what to do now as changing oil of different grade without changing filter was not looking promising. so quickly made a call to some experienced friends & they also confirm to the same. so left with no choice i asked him to put back the oil filter & pour fresh OME oil and went for a pee break. when returned i saw that he is pouring ACTIVA oil (mineral one from some silver grey bottle). when enquired he show his SAB CHALTA HAI attitude to which i blasted hard to the manager & both mechanic. after realising, they said to wait for 10-15 days for the KALI WALI BOTTLE(OEM FS OIL). so screeching my head i told about other niggle issues to which he solved. as getting late and time to close ASC is near, they completed the task and ask me to wait for the bike wash to which i agreed. when the bike was taken to the washing zone, i just for curiousity talked to the boy there.
me: what are you going to use to wash it
he: this is the soap sir(dirty soap bar indicated)
me: is this car wash soap
he: no, this is ghadi detergent
I: WHAT. instantly went to the the manager
I: i dont want my bike to be washed
            manager: why
I: have some standard sir. washing bike with detergent bar?
manager: dont worry. this is not dish washing soap, it is fabric washing soap
i:. just wait i will bring some shampoo.

so this was the way the herculean task ended.
Replacements done: air filter+ rear brake pads+OEM oil.
handed a bill of 1990rs. feel like cheated thoroughly.

also should i go for running this so called OEM oil for 1000km then drain it and pour rimula for next 1000-1500 kms then switch to shell ultra fs with oil filter change every time. senior riders please suggest. thanks in advance

change SVC asap and now that you are running Mineral oil i would suggest change at 1k itself though it can be used upto 1700-1800 km.
bill seems to be fine as rear brake pad itself is 800+ if non abs you can use pulsar 220 rear pad for 190 bucks. direct fit.

oil filters is to be changed at very first service 500-600 km and then every alternate service however i prefer changing it at every service. it can be avoided though.

The bike has been ( possibly ) dropped on the right side, as the fairing have lots of deep scratches ( on which the owner has pasted some matte black stickers on it ) also the glass visor has a sticker on it due to scratches. The right side rear view mirror rattles a bit, and the brake pedal seems to be bent.

Need to get these fixed along with the indicator switch unit - only horn works, indicator switch / pass light does not work.

And get the grab rail's work off paint re-painted to bring the bike back to shape !

Hoping to get these done by this week. Any idea if fairing parts would be readily available with ASC in Chennai? Also, how can I ensure a quality paint job on the fairing parts?
for parts contact aargee and he will be able to point you out to the best SVC in chennai.
switch unit can be expensive affair. hence get it opened and checked. can be just oxidation and loose contacts inside.
            break pedal can be straightened.
            side fairing is 12xx bucks
visor is some 6xx bucks i assume

paint job on fairing is bad idea as it will never match the other side and parts are fairly inexpensive. go for a change.

                UPDATE

As you guys' should have known, CBR's from late fourth quarter last year to mid second quarter this year are being recalled for the starter relay replacement (free of cost), and this is irrespective of the warranty period on the bikes.

Received a call from the Honda folks from one of the main dealers that it's ready to be installed on the bike. Visiting the SVC again, I found out that the relay, apparently, Made in Thailand costs a whopping 2850 bucks~ IIRC. Quality stuff, fuses are all Made in Japan, good stuff, but pricey!

Just make sure you guys insist on getting it changed, just in case, you never know when yours might be on the verge of giving up.

                Cheers!

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

the only option is to get it from USA straight away however for front you can use P220 brake line which is steel braided.
and for rear steel braided lines does not make sense any way..

save that 100$ and get good gear or invest in other goodies.

Made the initial payment today. Loan process, invoicing might take 2-3 working days. If it is done in 2-3 working days I might take delivery of the bike on Wednesday next week. In case of delay registration might happen on either Wednesday or Friday of next week. Delivery on Saturday if so. Fingers crossed. Can't wait to ride it

                            Hello all,

I did not ride my bike for a week or so, but it had 3 fuel bars on the indicator. Came from office early today and went for a short spin and the 3 bars became 2. All this time the speed was below 60kmph as i was in city limits. After 4-5 kms. The engine coughed as if the fuel got over. Switched off the engine and took it to the side and started the engine in neutral. It roared but the rpm fell down and thus shutting the engine. Gave a second try and again the same problem. Feared for fuel pump. Called my brother and took 3L of fuel from his bike and then started it. It was idling very normally then went to the nearest fuel station and filled her to the brim and then rode upto 80kmph and no hiccups and engine was running nicely.

Now the questions are as follows :

1: if there was less fuel, why it was showing 2 bars ?
                            2. All the time I did not go above 60kmph, why that big cough and engine shut itself off.
                            3. Is there any problem with metre console ? If yes then the temp gauage might be showing false information then.

Before all this problem occurred, I gave my tank for painting which had a scratch at honda, which meant disassembling the entire tank along with the fuel pump and etc and after repainting fit it again. Has something wrong happened while refitting everything...?

                            Cheers,

I have similar issue but little different my console doesn't show reserve and on checking with one SVC they said fuel gauge problem the other one said fuel pump issue.
Since its a small issue and I asked both SVC's if it causes any major problem they said no so I didn't bothered much about checking
In your case most probably fuel gauge might be problem but what I don't understand why you have to remove fuel pump to paint tank ?
I repainted entire bike I just disconnected batteries alone nothing else came of the bike.
If something is wrong with fuel pump then its RS.26000 worth of problem.
                              Get it checked in SVC.
                              Regards,

Since its a small issue and I asked both SVC's if it causes any major problem they said no so I didn't bothered much about checking
In your case most probably fuel gauge might be problem but what I don't understand why you have to remove fuel pump to paint tank ?
I repainted entire bike I just disconnected batteries alone nothing else came of the bike.
If something is wrong with fuel pump then its RS.26000 worth of problem.
                                Get it checked in SVC.

                                Thanks Mohan!!!

There is no problem with fuel pump as I rode it yesterday and the bike was happy after I filled her full. The concern is why the fuel gauge.is showing false information. I was a bit sensible hence did not start the bike again after the big cough. If I was not aware about the fuel pump I could have fried it. And other thing, if the fuel gauge is showing false Information then I am skeptical about the temp gauage as well.

I am aware about the last bar blinking and understand that at that point of time the bike hits reserve or indication of low fuel, buy why with 2 bars.

Before I take it to SVC and get pointed at a false direction, I need suggestions/solutions.

                                Folks, your suggestion please.

                                Cheers,
                                Sanjay
