Who in the world would downgrade from a 250 to 200. I seriously doubt on how the bike has been maintained. Get all the service records checked along with the number of accidents the bike has taken and how.many onwers it has been through. Ask him the reason why he is ready to trade in a 175000 bike for a 96000 one.

Do let us know about the progress, we hope you don't get a lemon.

Visually looks nice for a 2012 model. But test riding it will have a different result. And dont go on his blah blah words as he wants to sell it. Be cautious and check for the mentioned things in my earlier reply.

So he wanted me exchange our bikes at his place which is near a village in Delhi. Asap. I asked him about papers and he said "Mai first owner nhi hu par first owner ke documents hai mere paas, tum bas yeh btao yaha kab aaoge" At this time I was 99% sure this is a stolen bike. Still I decided to meet him but near my place and he straight away denied coming out of his village. End of the story.

The true motto behind exchange, he getting a clean bike from you and you get a bike full of trouble from him.

As of now I am living with the issue and once the floater is available, will get it changed.

The cost of the fuel floater/gauge is 2500rs:banghead:.

                Hope this helps

                Hi Sanjay,
Thanks for the update. As expected floater is the culprit here for false reading. But i doubt that the force from the nozzle will do the damage the floater, there is a provision in the mouth of the tank which will stop the nozzle from entering inside the tank.

And during my fuel fill when the attender is using the full force fuel used to spill over so he will only press the nozzle to an extent that the fuel will not splash all over the place.

I see only two possibilities either the mechanic screwed the floater while reassembling the tank after paint or the fuel station folks.

Anyways, We are now aware of the culprit and happily it will be replaced under warranty.

Next time onwards I will be cautious enough on the above 2 reasons.

                  Thanks everyone for the suggestions!!

                  Cheers,

But I couldn't find anything about exchanging for NS in the olx ads?. So the point is he wants to sell or exchange it with ease. Please ignore him.

Forget that is legal or illegal, considering you have 200cc bike, a 250cc bike that too without ABS, 2012 used bike is not a worthy upgrade that you should be looking at (in case if you are looking to buy a CBR250).

It was a dream for 4 years since the time it was launched in India. Almost fell for KTM orange but better sense prevailed and went back to a Ceeber. Might be late to the party but it indeed is a joy to ride it. Just dropped into the showroom 2 weeks back, fell in love with the Repsol edition and bang I have it in now. Registered today and delivered today. Thanks to all CBR riders in this forum. I have been silently reading all posts of this thread way back since March 2011. The issues with the initial lot of bikes the rides you all did, Aargee's problems with his CBR, Kurt Rules taking his CBR to Leh and many more. Many of you here gave me confidence in this bike and reliability of a CBR which was what nailed my decision. Almost went and booked the KTM Duke 390 but the issues with that bike put me off. Finally realised that CBR is what is best suited for me. Thanks everyone. Hope to join few of you during the xBhp GTG and meet-ups.

                          Hi Vaibhav,
OLX is full of frauds these days. It's up to you how you identify a genuine seller. I got a CBR recently and luckily I got a genuine seller. I made calls to dozens of CBR owners who posted their ads on OLX. Some were just school going boys (you can identify by their voice ).

Also, before finalizing a deal, make a visit or call to the dealer where bike was regularly serviced. They will provide you every details. I did the same.

Stay away from boys who sell their bikes on OLX.

                          Hope this helps..

Congrats. KTM is faster, but CBR is a better single pot cruiser that we have to date, I'd say. What was the total cost and where did you buy?.

Agree on the best available cruiser part. Total cost was 2.17 lakhs on-road and I got it from Didar Honda Mount Road.

Do you/anyone here have any experience with Cramster Breeze 4S??
I have been using Breeze 4.0 for the last 3 yrs. Vfm jacket apt for Delhi's hot climate. Nice mesh which let's in a lot of air on the go. You get both winter and rain liner and waterproof pockets. I am satisfied. As far as I found out 4S is same apart from the dual to color compared to 4's single black color.
