Well, I spoke to the Service Manager over phone and he understood my situation... requested me to get the bike to the SVC so that they could lube the chain and wash the bike and redeem the 1st service Coupon.Originally posted by MeTaL_MaNiaC View PostTalk to the SVC incharge. I had the similar kind of isuue.. My SVC incharge agreed to consider the conditions and made arrangements to save the warranty accordingly.. For records, u can get the bike serviced. Dont change the Oil filter and Oil.. just buy it and tell them you will get it changed after a few kms.. That would keep the service records clean..
I took my bike to SVC and seeing the chain was already well lubed with Motul Chain lube, and the bike swanky clean, he just redeemed the 1st service coupon and said that I could get the bike over to the SVC when I had around 750kms on the odo and he would do the service without coupon
We spoke for a while, and he informed me that they were having a hard time servicing the CBR beacuse:
- They only had engine Oil which was priced at 504/litre.
- Not a single OIL filter received from HMSI till date... they've done a couple of 1st services where they have changed the engine oil but not changed the filter...they said it was not compulsory but optional
- No paddock stand received from HMSI yet and hence they were having a tough time servicing the bike on the side stand.. also they could not use the service ramp due to lack of center stand.
- No stocks of oil filter housing gasket and Oil drain plug gasket.
- There was a black CBR parked in the SVC which seemed to have had a fall and had a broken clutch lever and yoke. Also, the alloy plate on which the gear shifter lever is mounted was cracked and the shifter itself was badly bent... footrest rubber was also torn similar to what was shown by Ravi17 in this thread..the left fairing was missing from the bike.. so i guess the fairing must have also sustained damages...... and the bike has been lying in SVC since past 15days for lack of spares

Same here & happens almost all the time...
After coming back, I spoke with HMSI officials & they promised to take this issue seriously. I'll give an update once this issue is identified or resolved.
Did you sort the prob out? Its shocking for sure, if I can feel the heat, I am sure you must be feeling like thrashing Honda officials. Either the baby has an ECU prob which is not releasing required amount of fuel to air ratioor the fuel pipe is faulty.
I hope the baby smiles up very soon with a ready to rip nod. Cheers Man.sigpic

Found few no cut frame sliders on eBay but they're way too expensive. 6-7k and no shipping to India.Originally posted by jacob View PostHey anyone got their hands on a frame slide yet??M800 - 2001 - 5787.Nano 2011 - 5086.Figo 2011 - 518.P220 - 2010 - 5995.CBR 250R - 2011 - 250.sigpic

Why do I get the same feeling?Originally posted by Vicky View PostTo be honest... its absolutely not my taste
101% wrong statement. Show them owner's manual & ask them if owner's manual has printing mistake. Demand for the service manual book & ask them to show the page where it says optional.Originally posted by Vicky View Postthey said it was not compulsory but optional
I didn't quite understand. Are you feeling pity for them due to lack of paddock or they didn't service properly due to lack of paddock? That's the same way every HMSI ASC in India is equipped.Originally posted by Vicky View PostNo paddock stand received from HMSI...center stand.
Nope!!! I'm going tomorrow again.Originally posted by pravu View PostDid you sort the prob out?
This evening I took out the vehicle as it was called by HMSI engineer. They wanted me to leave the vehicle for which I was apprehensive. I showed right in front of them how an unattended vehicle would be treated without the presence of owner. So they asked me to come tomorrow.
ThanksOriginally posted by pravu View PostI hope the baby smiles up very soon with a ready to rip nod
Kind attn - Does anyone have a an email ID (not the customer support) of some incharge in HMSI for CBR 250R in the middle or upper management? I need to document my issues & as well as escalate if things goes out of control. Pls help me if possible. Thanks.Last edited by aargee; 06-21-2011, 07:31 PM.Skill is what keeps you on a Motorcycle

All this points to only one thing...that the CBR was launched in a hurry. If basic spares are not available at service centers, how will these bikes survive? I'm now worried about my younger brother as he is getting his CBR in two days from today!Originally posted by Vicky View PostWell, I spoke to the Service Manager over phone and he understood my situation... requested me to get the bike to the SVC so that they could lube the chain and wash the bike and redeem the 1st service Coupon.

Never argue with an idiot. He will drag you down to his level and then beat you with experience.

That's exactly what I told him, but he said that though the service manual recommended change of Filter, the feedback they had got from the Honda Service Team was "to go ahead with 1st service oil change even without filter replacement in case of non availability of the same"Originally posted by aargee View Post101% wrong statement. I'm not feeling pity.. I'm just mad at Honda for having put a substantial no of bikes on the road without even making available the most basic of service tools like a Paddock Stand at their service centersOriginally posted by aargee View PostI didn't quite understand. I just hope that Honda has realized where they are falling short and are taking necessary steps to get things streamlined..

Well, I got quite worried reading this... up till now, I hadn't crossed 90k in top gear as the bike was under run in... but reading your plight, I wanted to make sure it wasn't a similar case with my bike.. So took her out for a little spin onto the bypass... 100k came up pretty quickly at 6.2k and before the traffic thickened, I was able to touch 138k on the odo @ 8.5k fully tucked in behind the fairing.Originally posted by aargee View Post1. First the bike found hard to cross 90 Kmph mark.
2. Then on empty stretches I couldn't cross beyond 110 Kmph. Trust me it took a little while to cross from 90-110
3. Initially I thought I didn't accelerate hard; since I'd done my 1st service & crossed over 1000 Kms, I started crossing 10K RPM in every gear
4. But beyond 3rd gear, I couldn't cross 8K RPM & worst was, no matter how you accelerate, it wouldn't cross 7.5K RPM in 6th gear. So the top speed was now between 115-119 Kmph
She was able to reach these speeds without breaking a sweat and from the feel of it, once properly broken in, she should easily be able to touch 160k on the odo with a single rider aerodynamically tucked in behind the fairing
