The cover is a cloth kind..they (shop guys) called it Canvas. I am 100% sure it wont cause any scratch.Originally posted by bprags View Post@Vijay: -Be very careful while using the cover, if there is dust on the bike and if u put the cover, there is every chance of scratching the bike surface and you do mention that the cover is tight, I would advice dont use the cover.
That is the reason I brought it. Believe me.

Pardon me, but I beg to defer you. Its due to the bad footpegs provided by HMSI. I have tried plucking out the rubber parts of my Dazzler as well as the CBR250R. Even with very strong force, the DAzzler's footpeg resisted strong and the CBR's rubber part has come off VERY EASILY.Originally posted by aargee View PostSaar...bad foot pegs attributes to two things...
1. HMSI
2. Owner
I prefer thinking the latter way.
I have checked rear footpegs of CBR of 'fastestindian'; its coming off very easily. I will ask him to post a pic of it. I would suggest you to try this once and see if you still feel they are of high quality and durable.
I do not have anything against the CBR, but this is my observation.
Sorry to hear that. Hope its a minor glitch and anything of this kind can be rectified by 'you' if it happens again.Originally posted by aargee View PostBut guys...wait to hear for a big news...CBR250R stalled in middle of nowhere. Happened enroute from Chennai to Vellore. Will give a detailed report tomorrow or when I find sometime. And this happened after my 1st service is completed (at 949 Kms) at 1055 Kms this afternoon.

I'm taking your comment positively. If you know any more issues, pls let me know, I'll get them passed through the right channel. Trust me!!!Originally posted by ravi@17bhp View PostPardon me...but this is my observation.

Shouldn't you say that, it should never happen again? I don't wish to fix anything on C250R by myself. I want that only to ride & taken care by HMSI ASC. To meddle with, I've my Rx.

Hope its that way, but somehow, if it happens, because it happened, I believe now that it would happen.Originally posted by aargee View PostLol

Nah!!! I don't want to think in those lines; I'd rather think about what I need to achieve or what I need in reality. As things starts happening as what our mind visualizes. So I intent to visualize this issue or no more issues to happen again & a long time trouble free happy riding ownershipOriginally posted by ravi@17bhp View PostHope its that way, but somehow, if it happens, because it happened, I believe now that it would happen.

Confuse and need some advice
hey i guys am still facing this weird issue with my CBR . while idling @ 2k Rpm bike makes some click noise and engine dies this happen only when engine is idling or when u've to start from signal . In clear words Bike stalls @ 2k RPM . Once bike paas 2K RPM it running Ok and dont even show any sign of such issue. Am getting FE between 30-25kmpl and i think thats normal so I reported this problem to honda and after 1 week few parts got replaced .
1> whole fule tank with Fuel pump and Fuel filter .
2> Injector and few other things.
I really appretiate the work done by SVC . job was done neat and they even took 25kms of test ride and only after testing my bike thruout they delivered it to me . Even head mech came as pillion while i was testing my bike after replacement of parts and cleared all my doubts . Bike was running just fine till next 50-60 kms and then the problem started again . Now am confused as what can be wrong with this bike . need some advise on how to dignost this issue . Its very sad news that SVC people havent got service manual of CBR250r so they are unable to dignost my bike correctly. now i have few questions.
1> Is it bcoz of faulty I/O sencor...? or any other sencor..?
2> Faluty ECU..?
3> or weak Ignition coil or supressor Cap or Spark plug.
4> or Timing Chain..?Its not enough to know how to twist the throttle; you must have judgement to know when and where to do it.

ANDOriginally posted by abhiwar View Posthey i guys am still facing this weird issue
So, I'm not the only joker to experience issues!!! The very first step has gone for a toss for HMSI!!! Not a good sign!!!Originally posted by darkknight View PostI am facing serious issues ,not at all happy in 1200 kms I have done
Did you also do 1000 Kms in 2 days like me? Were you facing issues from day 1 or after the 1st service?Originally posted by abhiwar View Postwill post a detailed report after my 1000 km serving in 2 days (reason I have delayed a little is i got oil + oil filter changed at 500 kms)
Does anyone feel the punch/grunt of the power stroke? Asking this because, despite the issues, my vehicle still has the punch with every power stroke.
Oh!!! & yes, Abhiwar - HMSI says one thing concretely that, if there's an issue with the vehicle, the FE is bound to take the first hit. But despite all my issues, my FE is still above 35 Kmpl no matter I ride in 80 or 110!!!
@Amlan - You're making a big mistake!!! Get it serviced ASAP or even before you hit 1000K. PSR Ji suggested to get mine serviced at 500 or a little over 500 as the metal particles within the crankcase might cause trouble in the cylinder walls.
BTW, this is my homework for the day...

I am note sure whether this would be the reason for your stall, i read somewhere in the manual that there is a banking sensor, if you lean so much in a corner the sensor stops the engine for some safety reasons, (not sure go through the manual). If you had leaned so much this might be the reason.Originally posted by aargee View PostBut guys...wait to hear for a big news...CBR250R stalled in middle of nowhere.
I have done 1400+ Kms(90% highway) without any issue. Did my 1st service at 710Kms. Last 100Kms i have even taken to 150Kmph not faced any issue.Explore the unexplored!

Yup! i know bro, but i tired so hard and ulitmately FAILED to arrange an oil filter for myself...so the only option left is to WAIT for the stock to arrive at my dealership..
..if it doesnt arrive in the next 2 days..I AM GONNA TORCH HMSI!!..ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!!!
3 months since the bike was released and no spare parts yet? no even the most important and crucial ones??
dont temme making an oil filter takes more time, money, materials than making a bike??DAMN!!!
i am driving my platina/i10 for the time being

OMG; many problems (initial hiccups??) suddenly; this is not happening. Though these are mostly initial hiccups and Honda will take care of these for sure, but given Honda's reputation, its really bad.
Any issues with bikes from Thai?? If there are no issues there, Honda's commitment for Indian market is highly deplorable.HH Karizma (Current) || CBF Stunner PGM-FI || Honda CB Unicorn Dazzler

Amlan - I read somewhere in this forum that RTR's oil filter is a direct fit. May be you want to consider that option instead of getting frustrated.
Well said!!! I certainly agree with this. Trust me, if there're no issues from the rest of the world, we're being treated like bunch of jokers by HMSIOriginally posted by ravi@17bhp View PostAny issues with bikes from Thai??
