Yeah bro, Bike is pretty good. Very good on the highway compared to my past bike (220). Pain to ride in traffic cause you have to shift more compared to other bikes. But eventually you'll get used to it Worth the money. I bought the ABS version and I'm more than satisfied with it's performance. Mileage is just eye popping!1 I got 39 kmpl (maybe more) when I was keeping the bike under 5k rpm (<80kmph).

Will this short review answer your query?
    M800 - 2001 - 5787.
    Nano 2011 - 5086.
    Figo 2011 - 518.

So do this for the first 45 kms and then after that treat it like a normal bike ride how you would normally ride and yes do try to stay away from constant speeds for the first 200km keep a variation in it and you will have no problems at all and you will have attained as close to perfect piston ring seating and valve seal seating and have optimum compression in the combustion chamber.

edit. hahahah I forgot to say Change your Oil at 100-200kms or at the very very least Change your Filter. Keep Dino (mineral oil in it till first service then use whatever oil you want to. I dont know if the bike comes with synth semi synth or mineral im not sure on that. But yeah Change the oil at about 100-200kms and at the very very least change the filter.

enjoy having another 1-2 hp on top of people who baby their bike around =D ( 1-2 is maximum you will at least not have any less then what the manufacturer quotes)

I did this on my Pulsar 220 dtsi Which is a good product but probally only 85% of the quality of a honda so With the new cbr you should be just fine.

I have no troubles with my motorcycle at all other then what anyone else does and not even all of those. drive it like hell for the first 45 kms then normal till 200 then run it how you want to where ever you want to HAVE FUN!!!!

no actually is would only increase mileage and power due to a better piston ring seal/seating and more ideal compression and combustion and less or no burning of any oil due to the more ideal piston ring seating.

I can take my current bike P220 (I did this Also on my Honda interceptor back in America before i Moved to Indonesia.) and if i want i can get 25kpl or i can get 35-40kpl depends on how i want to ride heehehehe. Now on my Honda Interceptor it didnt get no where near 30-40kmL since it was a 750cc bike hahaha.

I have seen bikes without saree guard but if you look under the seat cowl, the bolt holes that previosuly held the saree guard are still hanging below. Can this be got ridden of? Is this metal strip welded to the frame under the seat or bolted to it which can be removed? I want to have the seat cowl look clean without these bolt holes.

Its not enough to know how to twist the throttle; you must have judgement to know when and where to do it.

Yup! it does!! i have experienced it....
i dont remember where i had written this review (maybe here??)
but i had mentioned that me and a close friend had bought a platina each only for the sake of experimenting, stunting, racing, modding etc
(cus if anything goes wrong we didnt have anything to loose and spares are damn cheap and easily available)

                      1st experiment was run-in:

I decided to do motoman (hard run-in) while my friend decided to follow the manual (and drive below 60 kmph till 1k kms)

I started ripping that bike as soon as i was down the showroom's ramp and always tried to stay above 50..eventually, on a NH run (at a speed of 80+) my bike finally over heated and shut down midway...after a few mins it was back to normal...(yes, i did change the engine oil immediately which was more like water than oil)

and we cud see a clear difference between our bikes after 1st service:

my platina was faster on the torque side and did a 106 kmph max...sound was gruntier too and a "little" noisier...feel was smooth though.

my friend's platina was slower on the torque, struggled against my platina in a drag and did a maximum of 97kmph..his engine was totally noiseless and butter smooth (just like any other 100cc bike)

U think i destroyed my engine?

NOPE!!!cus its been 6 yrs now, i still have that platina and its still top notch and roaring...and i never had to change any engine components till date..

Thanks for the info dude! M definitely trying the 'mixing it up' way for running in. Warm up for about 20 mins -> rip it for another 30 odd minutes redlining it in most possible gears whilst making sure that one is not at a constant rpm -> next 20 mins take it slow again.. should work i guess.. your take on this?

Personally I have found it to be the best way to do it, The only other way to do it better would be to go and take 4-6 complete Dyno Runs but not everyone has access to a Dyno machine. It is also more fun riding out in the real world then strapped down to a wheel on a box lol.

Take it to the mountains and have fun thats what i did with my new motorcycle. ( was a p220 because the cbr costs to damn much in indonesia )

I think the Standard CBR csts about 39million Indonesian RUpiahs and the abs about 44 Million Rupiahs

Even the p220 when bought in indonesia costs about 104000 indian rupies about 19.2 million indonesian rupiahs, and the cbr was to long of a wait , Back in The USA i had a Honda Interceptor so im no stranger to performance bikes =D

                              • Call it a day

The run-in period is damn confusing. There's no clear instruction from HMSI either through owner's manual (which should've been ideal) OR through technicians.

The technicians say, "saar open & ride, but don't ride too fast"; now what defines fast? They were unable to answer. They say C250R is unlike the smaller vehicles & one can ride reasonably fast. Yet, no one knows what's fast, limit or reasonable.

The owner's manual is very confusing. It only has run-in period stating 500 Kms or 300 mi. So how's one supposed to ride within that period? What limits? Its not mentioned. Most C250R owner's copy what's suggested by N250R to stay within the limits of 5K RPM in 6th gear which is 80 Kmph. So I decided to follow a mix of both & this is what I followed...
                                1-200 Kms - upto 4K RPM
                                200-500 - upto 5K RPM
                                500-600 - upto 6K RPM
                                600-700 - upto 7K RPM
                                700-800 - upto 8K RPM
                                800-1000 - upto 9K RPM

After 1st service, I'll open up completely. The confusion prevails if I need to carry out an oil change (by myself) at 500 Kms or wait for 1K service.

Meanwhile, this is all I could do...

Having done 596 Kms, here're my observations...
                                - Torque is amazing. Really amazing. I didn't have to shift down any where from 60 to 95
                                - There's a good knocking & here's what I observed on the limits. Is this normal?
                                2nd Gear 2K RPM
                                3rd Gear - 2K RPM
                                4th Gear - 2.5K RPM
                                5th Gear - 3K RPM
                                6th Gear - 3.5K RPM
                                - I was very much worried on the riding posture & it proved to be very comfortable. But the greatest shock appeared in form of wrist pain. Right hand wrist pains like hell. Do any of you experience this or something that I need to learn?
                                - I've a feeling that C250R is going to develop good vibrations in long run. I haven't tested any fellow xBhpians N250R. May be, comparing the vibes on similar lines will help conclude some concrete info
                                - For the 1st 320 Kms, the mileage was 38.47 Kmpl approximately
