I read about Apache's Oil filter being compatible.. But its too big risk as SVC wont allow it and will definately void the warranty then.

Well Sudeep, i just stopped using my watch when my watch once hit my CBR's tank And i am happy to find the Clock on console..
You gotta risk it.. to get da biscuit !!!

The Service Manager in Saphire Honda had bought one of those N250R Oil filters to see if that fits. So when I went there, he had shown me that. Its very big.

I'm yet to see Apache's Oil filter personally. But I've seen the pics in other forum and heard that its a direct fit.

        • Guys,

I brought a Cover for my Boy. I purchased it from Nandi Tarpaulins (a reputed guy) from JC road.

The material is Canvas and is manufactured from Madura Garments.
The cover is water and weather proof and it is tough.

Presently I was using the cover (made out of plastic) which was old, torn and made lot of scratches to my bike ..

Currently I a very happy with the cover I purchased. Costed me just Rs 850. Fits perfectly for the bike. I shall post a pic of the bike coverd soon.

P.S. : I wrote "DO NOT TOUCH" all around the cover with a marker.

By doing this your bike invites unwanted people to touch it purposely, just my opinion.

Quick question: Is anyone trying the 'Run-it-hard' break-in method? If so, please elaborate on the exact method used.

Edit: After reading a considerable number of articles on hard run-ins, I would definitely like to try this method out once i get my hands on my bike. Any help in this regard would be most welcome!

Most important time to Run it Hard is in the first 45kms run it hard up to red line then let it engine brake down do this in 1st 2nd 3d and 4th and then do some high speed run in 5 and 6 then do the run hard to red line in 1st 2nd 3d 4th then some more high speed runs with full acceleration (As much accelerate as you can road conditions permitting )

then after you do this for a while (Note your engine will get hot so don't worry it will not die it will not kill it just relax its a new engine and no matter what way you run it it will get hot )

So do this for the first 45 kms and then after that treat it like a normal bike ride how you would normally ride and yes do try to stay away from constant speeds for the first 200km keep a variation in it and you will have no problems at all and you will have attained as close to perfect piston ring seating and valve seal seating and have optimum compression in the combustion chamber.

edit. hahahah I forgot to say Change your Oil at 100-200kms or at the very very least Change your Filter. Keep Dino (mineral oil in it till first service then use whatever oil you want to. I dont know if the bike comes with synth semi synth or mineral im not sure on that. But yeah Change the oil at about 100-200kms and at the very very least change the filter.

enjoy having another 1-2 hp on top of people who baby their bike around =D ( 1-2 is maximum you will at least not have any less then what the manufacturer quotes)

I did this on my Pulsar 220 dtsi Which is a good product but probally only 85% of the quality of a honda so With the new cbr you should be just fine.

I have no troubles with my motorcycle at all other then what anyone else does and not even all of those. drive it like hell for the first 45 kms then normal till 200 then run it how you want to where ever you want to HAVE FUN!!!!

Hi friend, nowhere you mentioned early oil change which is vital in a hard break in process. The oil should be changed very early may be at 200Kms or 300Kms and so the filter. Use only mineral oil for first 2K Kms and then move to synthetic. But be safe while hard run in as the speeds will be high, better take it to highway with less traffic.
