Thanks aargee. Apparently the product website also did not mention about the weight.
So the reason i asked was because, if we get this through Shopandship then it would cost only $10 shipping only.

    • Update:
My bike is finally on its way. I should have it with me before Saturday!

It would be great if someone could paste the PDI checklist here. I'd read it somewhere on this very post but it's really difficult to locate it amongst these many posts! So if anyone could provide a permalink to the post, that'd b of great help.

        • Got the bike today

          Update: Got the bike today..
I have one question, the handle lock of CBR is two sided or it locks only one side?
Coz in my bike I tried locking the handle to the right side it didn work.

@ajaymanohar: I saw someone with black CBR at Sapphire Honda around 12pm, was that you?

Yes, mine also locks only on the left side. But Ajay said he was able to lock it on the right side. Dunno how!!

Yes, it must be him. He was there around that time for his first service.

            • Some one was asking about after market tires (read wider tires). You can have then on a non abs cbr butnot on the ABS one. As per the manual, tires apart from the specified sizes will give wrong data to the ABS unit and it'll malfunction. this could lead to disasters!! So Guys with an ABS CBR, Stay away from wider tires!!

People who are looking for oil filters, Found a listing on ebay.COM. No shipping to India. they are being sold in a set of 3 so people who are interested can get them shipped to their cousins/friends who are in the USA and are going to fly down to India soon.

Not true....A True ABS like in CBR gets it's pulse input directly from the wheel, through which it detects the wheel rotation or lock up....
The ABS functionality will how ever become different with tires of varying grip...The ABS program set up inside the ABS ECU is pertaining to the bike's total traction setup, taking into account the stock condition....but will not cause harm and will function with full reliability at all times...... If you look at the front disc....the linear even spaced slots innermost on the disk is the ABS pulse developer.Try riding the bike with 5 PSI more and less and see if any change in ABS action is there..

Everyday before you ride make sure the slots are clean, and if you happen to go through thick mud/slush which will block these slots, then the ABS will get confused and not function as it should.

                    +Million

I was a non believer of the above. But then a friend of mine, who was also involved in coding ABS enlightened me on how the whole stuff works from which its quite evident that a slight change in anything from OE causes a big mess at the hour of need with ABS.

                    • People who cannot lock the handle both ways, please get it checked asap, I've been using the left and right side ones since day one, so it could be a defect, or you're not doing it right.

according to the manual you can only lock on left hand side so please get yours checked too

                        • I didn't think my statement would cause confusion. Ofcourse, the lock can be locked only by turning the key in Anti-clockwise direction.

What I meant to say was that the handle can be locked with the wheel pointing in either right or left direction. Hope this clears the air

Checked the manual too, it only says turn the handle to the left, and doesn't state it's the only way it can be locked. All vehicles I've driven till date, except a TVS Champ have this feature

Everything which I wrote in the above post was from the user manual itself. So I believe it is true atleast to an extent. Logic behind suggesting not to have upsized tires makes sense to me.

Neither of my friends nor me are able to lock the handle when its turned to the right. Only one side locking is possible. How come only you are able to lock it either ways?
