Ya that's what I though too but they are providing warranty and bill for pirelli 110/70 (think the same is true for Pirelli 130/70). Came across two shops which were selling these with bill and warranty and one of these also stocked the 140/70 which was explicitly without bill or warranty. Infact no one is selling 140/70 pirelli with bill or warranty - had called up 4 more shops and 2 had the 140/70 but only without bill or warranty!

A couple of shops names - Acme Tyres (Goregaon) and RB Tyres (Lower Parel) are stocking Pirellis front with bill and warranty.

@Aargee this was I pointing to you earlier. I have heard MRF has a 140/70 which is not tubeless. Once I went to change the FZ16 rear tyre I saw the same, when asked the dealer told its not tubeless. It was around 2 years now. Don't know any other tubeless tires of the same profile is available for MRF

                  • Oil

In the first service oil was replaced by 10W30 mineral, in the second service oil was replaced by 10W30 Throttle (FS). Had about half a litre of each balance with me. Yesterday went to the market (Balaram Street) to buy 10W30 Throttle to replace in my dazzler, I got the oil for Rs450 against the marked price of 504, packing etc. was exactly the same. On reaching home I took out oil into the respective caps of each bottle, 10W30 FS from ASC and the 10W30 I had bought from the market yesterday. The reason I did this was I just wanted to make sure that that the oil was genuine atleast to the eye and fingures. The two were absolutely identical. Now I wanted to see the diference between the mineral and FS grade, hence took out the third sample from the mineral oil bottle. Now the color and feel of mineral as well as FS was exactly the same, how would one be able to identify if the FS oil is genuinely FS when the color of the oil is exactly the same?

You should not judge a oil by it's colour. Reason; it's nothing but a dye that has been added by the blender/ manufacturers which has no performance factor attached to it. Oil in its original state is colourless. The dye has nothing to do with the oil being mineral or synthetic.

                        • Hello All,
I have booked the CBR250r n also the RE Classic 500.
I have read a lot on both the bikes and i cant pretty much make up my mind/
As CBR250r is a decent sports tourer and well a Bullet is a Bullet they cant be compared.
But since am going to bike the first time and I want it to be with me for a long time I would like to choose one which can last.
My usage would be only on weekends for long rides and once a week ride to my office.
With all the problems with the C500 I am inclined towards the Ceeber but I would like to know what kind of resale value can i expect after say 5-6 yrs of usage.
                          Kindly help a fellow rider.
                          Thanks & Regards

problems are there with any of the bikes for they are machines and prone to failure. however Honda is much more reliable than RE. this is coming from a bull rider for years.

as you stated that you would only ride on weekends cbr looks like a better choice for bull throws all kinda tantrums.. you better be prepared for mechanic visits to keep it like a mean bull.

after 5-6 years not sure which one will fetch you more however a lot more depends on how you maintain either of these.

rest guys should input with more knowledge on the same.

                              • ^^^ great! Sudeep, can you share the price of the chain sprocket? Mine is on the last setting. Soon to be changed..

Btw, My bike still vibrates a lot even after repeated visits and 3rd service. The vibration starts above 4-5k rpm and felt on seat, handlebar and foot pegs.. The vibration of seat is the most annoying on long trips and makes me pull out unneccessay halts.. Tightening of essential bolts and chain setting have been done. Fairing is also fitted properly. The SVC say its Normal, but it wasn't so in the beginning.. And definately not normal.. There is no problem with performance or mileage.. Its all fine except the other issue i.e: the rattling sound at 4.5k which the SVC arent ready to accept as an issue..
You gotta risk it.. to get da biscuit !!!
