  • An incredible ride

    Guys
    Today some thing incredible happened.

I was passing by a showroom when i saw a Black CBR250 parked outside it.
I stopped by to have a good look at it. After a moment owner of the bike can towards me and we got indulged in chatting about bikes and i told him that i was planning to book one for myself this month but i haven't rode the bike yet, then something strange happened he offered me his bike for test ride (i mean who in this world offers his premium bike for a test ride to a total stranger).
He handed over me the key, i could feel butterflies in my stomach at that time (i have never rode CBR250 before that). I was feeling like a small child sitting in giant wheel, tickling in my stomach (i am 23 yr old, i have rode CB1000R for odd 100 meters and GT250 before but this was something special). I started the engine and believe me i haven't head this type of engine sound from any single cylinder bike available in india it was deep and powerful grunt (Even R15 didn't have this type of sound no offence to owners of R15). I put it in 1st gear and first thing i felt was smooth shifting, i slowly released the clutch and bike was feeling like a cannon ball ready to shoot, it was feeling like riding a insane bull like the one we saw in rodeo shows on televisions, some how i slowly managed to get the bike on road. I was thing that bike will be having aggressive sitting position like R15 but no i was very comfortable to ride in traffic, after say 2 min i was on main road and i thought of pulling it so i twisted my wrist and boom it was a rocket all i could manage was 3rd gear and 6k rpm (i didn't saw the speed i was focusing on road please tell what could be the speed) and i slowed down, believe me i could not handle the acceleration it was so fast yet so smooth, i do not know how Honda managed to do this. Then i took a u turn, didn't felt any trouble doing that as road was quite wide. While returning i saw people staring the bike, man i was loving it. The thing i like the most was it does have sufficient torque to fulfill the need of a RE fan. I came back and stopped the bike handed key to the owner and thanked him for the ride and said "I am definitely booking one".

    Things i like the most.
    1. Acceleration + torque = Fun at both slow and fast speed
    2. Sitting position is quite comfortable.
    3. Attention grabber
    4. Smooth shifting of gears.

    Thing i dislike

    1. Nothing
    2. Nothing
    3. I have to wait for it getting delivered (every thing is done my bike is on sale TB 2005 model, my TB is giving me lot of trouble in reselling, last time i was that much close of selling it when my dream was thrashed well that is another story)
Only thing which i was finding difficult was starting from fist gear, i was trying to move in inches but was moving in meters, i think i can manage that once i get my own CBR250R.

    Final word
"I am booking it whether my TB is sold or not"

    PS: Sorry for poor english

    • @amandeepkamboj19: Glad to hear that you liked the motorcycle so much. A friendly advice though, next time don't take such an offer from someone you don't know at all

Pls quantify the DAYS; the maximum I've left the bike without starting is 2 days, a little over 48 hours & there wasn't any issues starting it again.

Even a week is nothing; anyway, let's get to the basics, what made you think the battery is weak?

polish and wax are two different things. What you've mentioned is (as name suggests) wax.

i had left my bike unattended for close to a month & it started (with second try) without much fuzz. Guess im just being lucky.

                    • Mine has been at home for 3 weeks tops. And i only get time to ride on Sundays.
So nope. Always remember to turn the electical switches off at night. And if you intend to store it for more than 3 weeks you can always disconnect the battery cable
