Silver plastic bits replaced by matching red/black bits. Black alloys instead of silver ones.Originally posted by Sandeep Patnala View PostCan someone post the changes that are made or observable in the new 2013 Color Editions !!

The 2012 model brochure says 25bhp and the new 2013 brochure says 26 bhp. Does that show a ecu remap ?

Re: Honda CBR 250R
There has to be a reason why Honda has started rolling out the MRF on the 2013 models. I will also prefer the sticky rubber on the MRF even though it has a lesser lifetime. It will be worth the riding experience.Originally posted by krish2778 View PostDamn, I have to try and get my hands on those, round mean more fun to ride and lean..!!!
So , you getting the one with MRF or the Contigos

Comparing 2012 makes, 2013 old colors and 2013 new colors, I felt the quality was on par, equally good of course. :-)Originally posted by Sandeep Patnala View PostCan someone post the changes that are made or observable in the new 2013 Color Editions !!

There are dual horns on the 2013 new colors.

Ha ha.... that sounds funny :POriginally posted by kn8Alpha View PostThe horn of the bike I test rode sounded like a scooter honk pleading to be put out of misery. So I guess dual horn as stock on the new model is some sort of consolation..

Re: Honda CBR 250R
Wow!, Thanks. Finally some replacements with ISI mark!. Zapper-Fy would be good on wet with centre groove too. Conto front doesn't like wet I guess (can't comment on wet yet).Originally posted by harsimranjitsidhu661 View PostIt might be a 150 but I think its a 250 and I'll give my reasons:
1. The rear foot peg holder is silver. It is black in 150. http://www.xbhp.com/autopictorials/d...0/CBR150R8.jpg
2. Check out the side profile of Repsol edition with MRFs. http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/attachme...0r-_repsol.jpg
3. MRF site too lists the tyres: Front Zapper FY and Rear Zapper S
On another note, I would say that Honda should have offered these tyres OE from the start; and even now too on all models instead of just a few.
Zapper FY 80/90 - 17 was stock front on R15 V1 & Zapper FY1 90/80 - 17 is stock front on V2. Zapper S 100/80 - 17 was stock rear of R15 V1 & Revz S 130/70 - 17 is stock rear on V2. Part of awesome handling of R15 is down to its tyres.
I hope the new MRF combo (Zapper FY 110/70 - 17TL front & Zapper S 140/70 - 17TL rear) are of the same compound as on R15 and will help sort out some grouses CBR250R owners had on handling front with the Conti's. Also MRFs seem to have more rounded profile than Conti's.
Correct me if I am wrong in any of the above info as I have written it all sitting at home; will corroborate once I visit ASC.
New owners please update how you feel about the tyres after using for few days. You will know within couple of days.
The Conti's told me their story within two days. I wanted to change them within a week of buying CBR, but couldn't get PSD here.
Zapper was tube type then. I am still waiting for choices. The CBR unfortunately has a weird tyre dimension and so far not many choices (was there any?)
I used TVS, CEAT, MRF Zapper Fs and Michelin M45's before (on older bikes). After using Conti, I realized how good my old tyres were!.
My Conti is manufactured in Aug 2012. So, it is supposed to be better than first lots. Even then I am not happy.
Today , I was riding back from my weekend ride. It was a glorious day here at 1000 feet up. I was entering a major road from another. As usual there were some small pebbles ( some tens of small scattered pebbles, nothing to be of concern for a 110/70 tyre on a dry day and when speed is about 30kmph) and my CBR front gives me a "mild moment" as if I rode on sand for about couple of feet. Luckily, nothing happened. But that "mild moment" was not needed to be told by Conti. Somehow, the Conti wants to cling on to imperfections (may be, I am not used to higher contact patch tyres) and will give me feedback immediately. But when feedback is needed, it doesn't give any. I am light weight rider and fill only 29PSI on both - solo.
That sums up the Conti for me. I am disappointed or I don't know. I doubt if Honda tested this tyre setup otherwise.
Anyway, let me wait for the feedback from new owners soon.Last edited by kpvision; 08-04-2013, 09:21 PM.~shifting at 6K RPM

Re: Honda CBR 250R
Yes. We are most likely getting the new bikes now in the same state of tune as the Thai bikes which means no more struggling to see 160kmph. The bike will run a bit rich than the old modelOriginally posted by krish2778 View PostThe 2012 model brochure says 25bhp and the new 2013 brochure says 26 bhp. Does that show a ecu remap ?

I have the new 2013 black model purchased on 9th July. Unfortunately I got the Conti's on my ride. And it's been one month and I am looking for a replacement already. Re: Honda CBR 250R
Yes that's great news. Things like this put the disappointment of the Conti's behind and makes me happy again. I did my first service yesterday and the mechanic who took a test ride also felt the difference. His words ," Company ne kuch alag kiya hai isme. "Originally posted by Nithesh View PostYes.
