One fact its a weird and negligible one but still a fact, CBR250R is 3rd bike in India to have "Bybre" Disc brake installed.

First one is Pulser220, the second one is Yamaha SZ-R (Yes! It has Bybre as front disc ) and Third one is Honda CBR250R!
Suzuki Gs 150 n apache rtr too.

So I finally got the chance to check out the CBR250R in its new colors. I must say that the Repsol edition looks quite premium and it more or less looks worth for its money (even just by the looks of it). However, the motorcycle had the Continental tyres and when I asked the showroom guy if it is supposed to come with MRFs, he looked confused! Anyways, the new bright red and the tri-color were also there. As far as I am concerned, the red is my favorite after the repsol. I just loved the plane bright red with zero graphics and simply saying CBR on the fuel tank. Looked good. It also seemed to me that these new CBRs have slightly better fit and finish.

Overall, the CBR250R never looked better!

Nice choice for the color. Co-incidentally, this was the choice I made today too! After a long time deciding between Red and White. Unfortunately it will be some weeks before I can book this baby.

I travelled down to Chennai from Bangalore, to visit a local showroom again this time with parents. Also had a short test ride that left me grinning with enthusiasm like a madman.

Some snaps of the 2013 colours from the showroom -

Random 2013 models seem to have MRFs. I haven't tried pushing them too hard to give me an option to choose MRF but I think they will oblige.

The one on the left is MRF Zapper S, right is Contigo.

          Congrats mate,
btw, the red was too red for my liking. And sadly all the cbr they had there were of contigo, not sure if i can opt for mrf, will ask the dealers.

Yup, seems Honda is putting MRFs arbitrarily on 2013 models.
If I am not wrong, the combo is Zapper FY Front & Zapper S Rear (both tubeless)?
If you buy one with MRFs, do post a review on usage.

Visit changemytyre.com. It says MRF is a TT tire.
They have 140 profilers in 17" size from MRF listed on their website, but the above pic with MRFs is a CBR 150R with 130 section tire. The difference is prominent bro.. I'm not sure if Honda is even adding MRF 140s as stock in the 250! You may have to go after market for the same. Make time and visit BLR bro, wanna see ur ride in flesh.

It might be a 150 but I think its a 250 and I'll give my reasons:
                    1. The rear foot peg holder is silver. It is black in 150. http://www.xbhp.com/autopictorials/d...0/CBR150R8.jpg
                    2. Check out the side profile of Repsol edition with MRFs. http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/attachme...0r-_repsol.jpg
                    3. MRF site too lists the tyres: Front Zapper FY and Rear Zapper S

On another note, I would say that Honda should have offered these tyres OE from the start; and even now too on all models instead of just a few.

                    Zapper FY 80/90 - 17 was stock front on R15 V1 & Zapper FY1 90/80 - 17 is stock front on V2. Zapper S 100/80 - 17 was stock rear of R15 V1 & Revz S 130/70 - 17 is stock rear on V2. Part of awesome handling of R15 is down to its tyres.

I hope the new MRF combo (Zapper FY 110/70 - 17TL front & Zapper S 140/70 - 17TL rear) are of the same compound as on R15 and will help sort out some grouses CBR250R owners had on handling front with the Conti's. Also MRFs seem to have more rounded profile than Conti's.

Correct me if I am wrong in any of the above info as I have written it all sitting at home; will corroborate once I visit ASC.

Quite possible. That's why I mentioned that MRF lists its tire on the website as well.
But, the tail lamp is different as well. Isn't it? Or is it the angle with which the pic was taken?

                            All,

Just to clarify, MRF is indeed on the 250R 2013 All-Black model, 140/70 - 17.

Sorry for the confusion, the earlier pic indeeds makes it look like a 150 exhaust and all, but no IT IS a 250.

Visually, it looks a tad bit less wide than Contigo, but is "rounder" than Contigo. Looking at both tires placed side by side, the MRFs look better.

Hi, I am asking a ridiculous question here but can I put the ABS kit on Non-ABS, I regret not purchasing it that time what will be the consequences other than warranty void and off course risk involved? Can I go for the Continental ABS mentioned in News thread? What settings need to be changed and cost involved??
Can the new full black parts be put on on the silver parts & black silencer cover over the silver one?
