Even i liked the old pearl amazing white and wanted to go with it but i was offered a 2015 model. So went ahead with red 2016 model.

Re: Honda CBR 250R
One of my colleague just didn't buy CBR250 recently because of these dull and non sense(IMO only) color schemes. 2012 model still looks better in the crowd. Colors which has been adapted directly from VFR is the best till date. Later are just funky.Originally posted by sanjaynk15 View Post+100

The post is completely based on my choice and I didn't meant to heart anyone's feelings. Pardon me if I'm wrong.

Re: Honda CBR 250R
Guys I have a few queries, I apologize in advance if its been repeated or a noob one.
1) I'd like to know how much of fuel the last bar of fuel holds? Cause I fill up at 1 bar and my tank is full at 600rs i.e 9.08 ltrs. The tank capacity is 13ltrs , correct me if I'm wrong. The last bar or two holds 4 ltrs of fuel?
2)I'm sure many will agree that the low beam is very unsatisfactory and high beam is okayish. I'd like to know what can be done to improve this, a xenon HID change or a Phillips extreme vision bulb, do I need to change the full kit or just the bulbs and if full kit, do I need to change the battery too?
3)Someone said earlier changing oil from semi synthetic to fully synthetic oil n vice versa is not good for the engine, please elaborate.
4)Someone here was using engine ice, I'd like to get your review on that, the shop where I saw the person told me it will last for 8 months for mixed manner of riding.

Re: Honda CBR 250R
Hello Guys,
I visited a different SVC yesterday (Kothari Wheels, Tilak Road Pune) and the service advisor told me that the noise was due to faulty shims and not the CCT. The shims need to be checked and replaced if necessary. He promised that I would get the bike back by today evening but today he told me that it would take two more days as the shims are not available. The Head Cover gasket will also be changed.
I asked him to give me a rough estimate of the total cost for this but he said that he needs to check the shims properly and then he will let me know about it.
Can anyone here give me a rough estimate,
Shims+gasket+labour charges=?

A friend had the shims replaced a year or so ago, and iirc these were the prices.Originally posted by pushu097 View PostShims+gasket+labour charges=?
Each shim will cost you close to 400rs. If all 4 shims need to be replaced, it will be around 1600.
Head cover gasket price is around 120rs.
Labor my guess would be around 300rs.

Re: Honda CBR 250R
2)I have xtremevision 55w bulb, direct fit and no change required. It's better then stock but not the best. Jon has got Philips racing vision from powerbulbs.com, seems to be good but have to wait and see.
3) stock oil itself is full synthetic, no need to downgrade to semi.
4) stock Honda coolant change interval is 2 years. I never had an issue of over heating or the coolant reduction leading to top up since I got the bike(8 months). I think this is the best, other coolants may give similar results... But no better.

Re: Honda CBR 250R
I see, I'm on motul fully synthetic oil, bike seems fine, will check do I need to change or not, I have a habit of changing every 3000-3500 kilometers, might just switch back to Honda throttle oil n see how it fares Phillips xtreme vision, a lot of people have talked about it, can I get it in any electrical store? Someone can shed some light on fueling? That last 1 bar can hold 3-4 Litres? If not how do I tap into the reserve?cause on the last bar, I fill fuel, the tank is full at 9ltrs as I've mentioned earlier, I hope my tank does not have residue or something stuck, I have the habit of idling my engine for 2-3 mins before I head out every morning or if I haven't taken the bike out for more than 12 hours or more types. Please let me know anything else can be done to improve low and high beam.Originally posted by kannanmr16 View Post2)I have xtremevision 55w bulb, direct fit and no change required.
