I live 2kms away from Michelin's corporate headquarters...and they seemed angry when I call! also, the person who answered the phone had no clue about 'tyres'...hope the person knows that Michelin manufactures tyres.....

Hello Guys,
Planning for a ride of around 700kms one way this December. I will be riding with my wife as pillion. The only concern for me and my wife is the absence of back rest for pillion in CBR250.

Have anyone here done something for pillion back rest for CBR250? I mean any luggage carrier which would work as back rest as well or something like that? Without the back rest it would be difficult for my wife to do such a long distance ride.

Please note that I would like to have this back rest for this ride only. So the solution should NOT be permanent. I will surely remove the back rest after this ride and want to reuse that in my future long rides.

I need your help, please assist guys.

Guys, going in for second service on friday..! almost close to 6k mark.

Been quite ok till now. With this oil change i am expecting a fresh feel from the engine. The run-in was not quite over until i hit some 1.5k kms or so. And been running around with that oil till now.
Will be asking them to change the oil filter too.

Thanx to "Riot" for recommending me Michelin and a special thanks to pruthviraj who made umpteen phone calls to various tyre dealers in pune for last two days ,spared his valuable time accompanying me to various shops in pune and got the tyre installed under his supervision.

Seen in the pic my bike in black and pruthviraj's in red .....both the bike,s rear tyre is Michelin pilot street radial.

Today had been to Dombivili V.J. Honda.
He said CBR250R STD OTR is for Rs 181700 (4k for accessories: Teflon/Helmet/5 yrs Engine warranty. Included in OTR).
But was giving Rs 10000 discount as a Diwali Festival, so after discount it's Rs 171700 OTR with that accessories as said above.

Is this price close to other states ??

Any Idea what's the price in Thane/Mumbai/Pune/Delhi ??

please check the post no: #13274 on page no: 1328 by pruthviraj,its the very same tyre............ i personally have ridden my bike close to 60KM today after installation,hence with whatever little experience i had with the tyre all i can say is it is certainly a soft compound and very much confidence inspiring .

Is that Keiti transparent tankpad on your bike?
What's the price of the tyre? Is it the stock size(140/70-17)?

Yes its Keiti...bought it from DSG pune 2 years ago ,i think it costed me around rs 1000, yes the tyre is stock size.

It seems the price is bang on. BTW honda giving discounts is unheard of. Pls check the bike thoroughly before buying.
