Heading to LetsGearUp in HSR Layout, Bangalore tomorrow noon to get the Michelin Pilot Street Radial Tyres for my Ceeber. I'll post details on my first experience with the tyres.

They are quoting Rs. 5485 for 140/70-17 rear and Rs 4165/- for 110/70-17 front.

        Hi there fellow CBRers,

I am planning to defect to a Triumph Bonneville soon. My CBR will be up for sale after I get the new bike. It is a May 2011 model, done about 8700 kms, zero issues, zero crashes, ridden solely by a sensible 40+ chap i.e. me! Will put up fotos soon.

How much should I expect to get for her? I haven't gone to Olx etc and would trust your views more.

The price you should get minimum should be 98k and maximum 1.10k ,add +6 k if it's abs, rest depends on you sir.
And sir don't go for selling your bike to any dealer ,sell to anyone directly via olx or other media ,dealer will not be providing you fair value of your bike.

Last evening, I had been to a local shop here in Junagadh. Some @#$%^&* rider parked her/his bike so close to mine that somehow, he/she ripped the LHS footpeg rubber pad!!! I was stunned to see the damage and examined it in the clear light of day. Surprisingly, the pad is hollow, not solid like is commonly found on other bikes.

Another issue. Somehow, the LHS rear fork joint cover (that small circular plastic circle with an inner concentric race ) fell off somewhere. I was washing the bike as a prelude to the polishing and found the nut exposed! Funny. The RHS one is still secure. Checked from my ASC and my mech there said that the ASC has never opened the fork nut. He is trying to obtain both parts from his sources.

My question: is this small, hollow rubber pad available by itself or will the entire footpeg assembly need to be changed? Is there any other bike which shares this type of footpeg with the CBR 250.

I trawled thru the thread but did not get any info so any help would be welcome for sourcing both parts.

                      Thanks.

This particulare model fo the michilin has the same thread pattern fro front and back i guess, remember seeing it like that in the commercials too.

But , do please check it before installing it, Shiv

Front usually will have center groove for water channelling.. Else it will skid. But i dunno, maybe it can have same thread pattern

I had this same problem of the footpeg rubber tearing off, but it had not come off fully in my case, and it was the LHS one for that matter, just like yours, and yes, i was equally annoyed at finding it to be hollow, a tad more pressure than normal on the peg and the rubber could tear off. So the solution i did is a temp one, i used Super Glue to hold it back in place and has worked fine for me till now.

This happened about 2 weeks back for me. But even i would like to know about it any other bikes footpeg would be a direct match. Would surely want to change it.

Pirellis and Metzelers do not have them ASAIK. Anyways, let him confirm and get back to us, so we can be sure.

I had this exact doubt a week back (before planning on replacing the tyres at the day of delivery) & googled a lot. The front has the same pattern as well.

Another variant available at the launch is this Michelin Pilot Street Radial. As the name suggests, this Pilot Street Radial is made with radial-ply type compared to the Pilot Street that is made u…
