The SVC guys do not fix the bent chassis.. they merely replace them.
If your talking about 60-80 range of speed, it can cause the chassis to take a hit and deviate from ideal functioning(depending upon the type of fall).

Personal opinion - stay away from sliders if you have a chance of falling at a higher speed. Let the fairing take the hit if it ever happens (hopefully never)

and as you said, if the SVC guys don't fix bent chassis, considering the cost involved in replacing the chassis it's always better to replace the fairings.
Just because you haven't seen it doesnt mean its impossible...expect the unexpected.

Out of curiosity, what would be the rough cost for a chassis replacement? Replaced chassis would also mean change in RC, insurance and all papers right?

And how do they remove bend from chassis? Wont it weaken the frame?

            Guys,
How to master the art of ergonomics geometry on cbr? Could someone share me pictures of right postures for a city commuting and highway as well?
It's close 1000kms on my baby cbr! At times, when I push my bum away almost touching the rear seat, I feel strange pain above my lattice and below the rear deltoids! Of course, the pain doesn't last much..

In another case where I sit close to the tank, it doesn't pain me there rather, pains the corners of my hand palms.

How can I avoid these? Can someone share me few pics of the right postures?
I am little worried cuz, I have a 600km ride ahead in few days.

Nobody can help you with this buddy. This is something that is unique to the rider himself.
Ones sitting position might not be for you.
With more n more kms, you will yourself know which position is best for you.
Well you have tried sitting at the far back and far front, why not in between

Btw, long rides are not recomended if you are not comfortable with the ride.

              Ride safe and have fun.

Honestly speaking I have no Idea. I can't even give you a "percentage" of the total cost of the bike involved in replacing the chassis. But ideally replacing the chassis should include changes in RC and all other papers, but I'll tell you what...in accidents causing someone to change the chassis usually forces you to change the vehicle as well. No matter how much repairing you do on a chassis it cannot be made to work like a factory made once it undergoes deformation.
You can bring it as close as possible but never exactly the same.
Yes repairing a chassis may have alter effects on some other area that's why it's advisable to replace the chassis or the vehicle

From experience, I've come from riding naked street bikes to semi faired to full faired and each have their own position for riding. and it also depends on rider to rider. So personally I think your on the right track with that hit and trial effort. Keep that going, sooner or later with experience you will either get used to it or will find the most suitable position.

New Chassis alone costs 35 to 45k...
No need to worry about RC or insurance, cause the above price includes etching or punching the old chasis number on to thew one.

Thanks bro There's a biker named Aman in my facebook list, isn't that you :O
BTW exhaust shields are not 600 bucks bro, I was quoted 960 bucks for the silver one. Are they cheaper in Hyd?
Good news about the tinted visors - though it wouldn't really help much....I'd have preferred the taller touring screens

I happened to check the price for the all-black CBR's fairing parts to replace the silver-colored bits of the fairing (see pic below). They quoted a total of 2000 bucks for the kit of 4 (left+right) and the spares guy himself suggested that I'd rather go in for painting my fairing instead of buying new bits.

painting will be a cheaper alternative but you wont get the exact shade of black and also factory finish unless you get it done from a proper air sealed painting booth using dupont paint and 2 layer gloss coat.

also you can keep the silver ones as spare.

last year when i got the heat sheild change for the black cbr i have @parkash sir's bike. they charged 600 odd so i thought might be same price.
