Re: Honda CBR 250R
krish2778. The CBR's normal operating temp is quite higher than other bikes. Therefore, the fan may not spin at all during these cool monsoon days. It is only at times, after a long high speed run at say 110+ when you get into an urban zone and have to do the gear dance (1st-2nd-1st-2nd-3rd-1st) that the fan MAY operate - the radiator is very efficient at leeching heat from the engine. The temp gauge must NOT go to the 4th bar without the fan spooling up, so watch it - if the gauge goes to the 4th bar w/o the fan operating, you must stop and take the bike to the ASC.Originally posted by krish2778 View Post

Thanks mate, paying close attention to it now. The 2 occasion with above 3 bars , the fan part never occurred to me, will not miss it next time. And will get back with it here.
Cheers

Re: Honda CBR 250R
Hello Friends...
i have recently bought a used cbr250r ABS.. (3800 km done)
I have been using it from ten days and i have got it serviced today..
It has been raining since early morning today... Ive gone to the ASC in the rain(First ride on wet roads).. Ride was Good with enough grip...
In the evening after ive took delivery i was a bit less cautious since everything has been taken care of.. (Got engine oil replaced and all other oils topped up)
The moment i hit the road i was testing my brakes.. (Felt the ABS effect for first time)
Then i was going at a speed of 30-40 and the bike mysteriously keeps drifting away.... I had about 10 "WTF Im Gonna Die Moments"... The rear wheel has lost all the grip.. its like doing a wet burnout...
Tyres on the bike are first version Contigo's (Dec 2011).. Is this beacuse of the tyres or because of the ASC guys??(It was ok in the morning when i was riding in rain... But a different story in the evening though)..
IMO--(The Service centre guys might have washed the tyres with shampoo or sprayed oil)
Do i need to change my tyres???? Thanks in advance buddies

Re: Honda CBR 250R
Check your wheel alignment. Mostly that should solve it. Also try to check with ASC people on the stuff worked on the rear wheel. Even improper chain tightness might lead to bad alignment, causing instability.Do i need to change my tyres???? Thanks in advance buddies

Thanks Mate, Sure will post it soonOriginally posted by wasim.wassu View PostCongo
bro, can u post some pics
Well frankly I have not ridden the stock, but I can definitely say that it reaches 120 -130 in no time. It was really scary. The acceleration is awesome. I believe the Joel's Modifications is the stage I modification. since the silencer is still a stock oneOriginally posted by rockingrider View PostJoel... Hmmm

Re: Honda CBR 250R
Try to ride a stock bike to feel the difference. What price you got this for and stage 1 in the sense headwork and suspension mods? How about the FE?Originally posted by jamesrocky View Post

this is Nov 2011 and 13200Kms done. The service was already done just 20 days back when I got the bike, I believe the milage is around 30 not sure though, since I drive a little fast. Need to check the mileage when I ride in normal condition

Re: Honda CBR 250R
Contigos+wet conditions are detrimental to health, according to a discussion I had yesterdayOriginally posted by Nitin Alapati View PostIt has been raining since early morning today... Ive gone to the ASC in the rain(First ride on wet roads).. Ride was Good with enough grip...

I have a ZMA, and even the stock Zapper Y skids in the wet. The issue here as @psr and @icemang have pointed out to me is that the lack of a central groove to push out the water and maintain stability contributes to skidding in these type of tyres. This happens in gravel or slushy roads as well.Last edited by AK3D; 08-13-2013, 03:04 PM.

Re: Honda CBR 250R
Two things I want to discuss.
Primarily, my rear brake pads are worn out in just 3k kms
. So to replace them, I planning to opt for P220's rear pads since both bikes have same setup (Cost effective
). Any opinions?
Other one is, After longer stalls (6+ hrs),
I used to disengage the clutch for 25-30 times and idle the bike at 3.5-4k RPM, till it reaches 1 bar in temperature sensor. I feel the bike really smooth after this, but the problem is it takes close to 3 mins to reach that temperature. I am feeling that I am wasting too much fuel in this process. Any views??
