Oh wellOriginally posted by Avenger88 View PostThe lower part of chain slider notch got cut and it came out. So tied it using the steel wire.
Thought I'll share it here, if the same thing happens to someone here next time.
Happened to me thrice before I changed the slider - always had some zip-ties handy for the purpose
Not really a good idea to use nailpolish remover/thinner - acetone based products can be a disaster if they spill/splash accidentally on the painted parts.Originally posted by R-series View PostGood one. Just to add, also use nail polish remover/thinner/deo/perfume or even veg refined oil.
Biking is not about how many Km/h you put on your Speedo. It's about how many miles you put on your Odo. Ride Safe, Ride Long!

yes my bad, no thinner or nail polish remover on painter parts please, I take that back. It can be used to remove grease from kitchen parts but I missed the "paint" part here.
Just because you haven't seen it doesnt mean its impossible...expect the unexpected.

P.S: The white color is a big pain in the arse to maintain, looking for some buffing and polishing places to get some of the damage removed, the color of the jeans seems to be coming onto the paint with light bluish tint and a little smudge marks on areas near the fuel cap.
Apart from that no issues, but seeing the tank like that is a sad part.
Cheers

I am using a keiti carbon finish tank pad. So the area covered by tank pad is good, i am talking about the part where the thighs grip onto the tank. Will post a pic soon for better understanding.

Re: Honda CBR 250R
Na na... Me too talking about the same! I'm asking you to get a pad for the sides. Like ZMR comes now with a Z printed side tank pads. 3M has transparent pads. Try them. They are put on the sides.Originally posted by krish2778 View PostI am using a keiti carbon finish tank pad. Re: Honda CBR 250R
I gave my CBR for the 1st service. Prior to the service, the engine was really rough, it has improved a bit after the service. However, it is still not to my satisfaction, I feel it is not on par with what I expect on a Honda. It does seem to smoothen up a bit once I get past 60-70, but unfortunately, I rarely have an opportunity to go there during my commute and most of my riding is at 20-40 in 1st to 3rd gear (damn you Bangalore traffic). I had a doubt whether the service station has forgotten to fill in oil but I checked on the window and it seems to be at the full mark. Plus I assume if there was a lack of oil, the engine would overheat, it is always at 3 bars or below.
Is this roughness normal at city speeds or something I should worry about?

Hope my recent experience with the 250R should help.
Initially I used to feel vibes on tank where the thighs grip (@ 5k rpm). Regardless I started taking it to higher rpms and letting it engine brake whenever I could post a thorough engine warm-up.
These days the bike goes to 10k in 1st gear without hesitation and vibes, only indicator being the grunty sound.
Try to slowly reach higher rpms and let it engine brake to smoothen out.
Temperature at 3 bars is normal and that is where it stays if everything's OK as mentioned by a number of thread contributors.
You should be worried in case it crosses that.
