  • I thought u had a r15 v2.0. For CBR 140-70 is perfect, where as for r15's my friend has tried 140-70 bt it gets stiff on corners.

    • Use pidilite's liquid polish or else the best would be 3m polish. For the matt black fairing part use fashboard polish, mix it with a little water otherwise it attracts a lot of.dust.

I got myself the same Formula1 product from Auchan (erstwhile Spar) Hypermart. Can vouch for it's authenticity as it's the proper Formula-1 product as shown on their website (vs the fake Formula-USA which I saw at Star Bazaar!) and also had the importer's details stuck on. I checked with the salesperson, who said it was fine to use on fairings, but not recommended for matte plastics.

Tried it today morning. Quality-wise, I found it excellent. It's an easy-on, easy-off paste, which basically means it's soft enough to spread easily and shines with minimal buffing. A small wash and 10 minutes of buffing, and I could see the gloss very evident...though not very sure about the longevity of the waxcoat. Probably the glass lasting for 20-30 days should be decent.

          • Finally first service done after 3 weeks of purchase, took it for a ride around (Devarayana Durga) just to see how the bike felt...An absolute blast on the highway, no doubt. I've attached a couple of pics of the ride, not everything since it'll end up spamming the thread

Though after the ride, it seems something is slightly rubbing against the tire, just can't seem to pin-point the source of it. Need to sort that out and the crappy clutch settings which has already become a little loose.

              • Has anyone here bought the bike recently(2013)? I'm thinking of booking this ride soon, but I wanted to know whether the quality issues of some parts that are mentioned in the earlier pages of this thread are rectified in the current models or not. Has Honda improved anything regarding the quality of the spare parts in the bike(I know the engine is good, but I'm a bit concerned over others as well), or is it just the same model that's being sold up until now, without any improvement?

Got it exactly a month back. Mine is the 2013 batch. No quality issues as such, no rattles, squeaks, paint fades etc. Though it isn't top notch, I think everything has been looked into by Honda and no problems as of now *touchwood

Yes, the std itself. It didn't make much sense for me to go for the ABS financially and though it has it's uses, I'm usually more than careful while riding, so...And yes, I'll upload on flickr soon, the RAW pic is still under process. I just randomly uploaded 3 of them from the pile here. Will PM the link

Std version eh? I'll be booking the ABS, I hope that's been improved as well. Anyways, anyone here bought their CBR from Anna Nagar JSP Honda in Chennai? I've seen their service and they do seem to take special care for the CBRs atleast that's what it looked like, just wanted to know some personal reviews from someone who has already bought from them.

                        • Hello Everyone,

My chain life is nearly over and needs replacement. ASC informed me it is better to replace chain along with sprockets (Chain set). It is costing me approximately INR 2100. Is it advisable to for complete set and is the price OK?

                          Kindly help.

Your ASC is right, its best to replace both sprockets and chain together.
