    • 12 days and 780 kms on the Odo. Hoping to touch the 1k mark before the end of the 15th day
Getting her 1st service done today. Will post my Raves and Rants only after the service is complete.

Biking is not about how many Km/h you put on your Speedo. It's about how many miles you put on your Odo. Ride Safe, Ride Long!

      • Hey guys ive booked my cbr 250r abs today. I wanted to go for the tricolor but the showroom guys told me its not being produced now and they now have only red and black at present. Is it true people. For that matter i was forced to go for black. And another query. I spoke with the manager and he told the lot he has now in stock is 2013 model. Can this be true? So isnt there a color scheme change coming? Btw i booked from evm honda trivandrum.

        • I am not aware of the new color scheme to be released soon. But the tricolor be out of production? unlikely.

well if the manager for sure has 2013 stock .. then tri colour is gone. it wont be coming in 2013 anymore.
the new additions will be plain black and repsol edition however very unlikely to have 2013 stock. check at
other showrooms but yes for 2013 tri-colour wont be coming.

wider aperture and slow shutter. also not from the front as the light will glow and the rest wont be visible.
bump up the iso to 400.
set the aperture to wide. whatever the camera get to
slow shutter should do the trick.

and it aint bad just that due to the headlamp the rest goes dark..

                  • I'm really really happy to say that I am currently the proud owner of the "Tri-colored Awesomeness". I bought it on Friday and in love with it! I was an ex-RTR owner and anybody can guess how I would feel about the CBR. "Butter smooth" is an under statement! I was very fortunate to get a bike with ZERO kms on the odo and I was the first to start it as well Some pics of the first day!

There is absolutely no news of the new colors and Tri Color is available! I got mine on Friday and it is 2013 stock. Its a gimmick to sell whatever they have in stock than ordering it again. I got a similar answer from one of the showrooms here in Bangalore.

                      • that is what i meant exactly. the 2013 stock wont come until another few months so 2012 stock should be available and if 2012 stock is available then tri-colour will be there
but if sure shot 2013 stock then tri-colour wont as it wont be manufactured in 2013 most probably..

                          250R owners,

Alwin...15 days of owning a 250 and all I can say is the 250 is always better than 150, except if you are planning to take it to the race track.
250 is a much better road and touring machine, behaves well at low revs, has a lot more torque and pulling power.

I went in for an ABS after reading 700+ pages on this thread - after I started believing that ABS is safer.
But belief and faith are two different entities. Belief comes from knowledge. Faith comes only from real-life experience. This Sunday I was returning at night from a trip with my wife as pillion - it was around 9PM and we were cruising at 100 - when the lovely smooth asphalt suddenly vanished - and there was a long patch of uneven, gravel-dirt track. As the bike began jumping around violently, I panicked and hit the brakes - and it was only after I slowed down safely to 30kph that I realized - had it been the non-ABS, I'd have been writing these lines from a hospital and my bike would have been a write-off.

Expensive? Yes, it is. But not more than my (or my family's) life!

BTW - just got her back from my 1st service. Total charges Rs.1399. The engine now feels a lot more eager and revs to 8000 in no time. But my tyres are losing grip mid-corner!
