i had two options.....either get the dent repaired from an alloy wheel shop or get the wheel replaced. didn't trust non-honda mechanics, so went in for the second option.....its not covered under warranty, but was covered by insurance......new front wheel costs about 4k for std non abs model, which is mine....the one for abs model is different, dont know if it costs same or higher.....had to order in advance. wheel was delivered in about 2 weeks.....guys at asc did a good job, i was there all the time. fully satisfied with the new wheel
Hmm I also have the same problem (loosing air on time and tire skidding on corners while leaning) but I have not inspected the rim yet, though I was suspecting the wheel alignment.

oops replacing the tank, what for. The tank itself cost 7K+, for that price you can do what ever paint job you like. The black alloys are the thing which I liked. Repsol color don't suit this bike. Looks like

I totally agree with you bro. I am planning to book cbr in a day or two & have been following this post since 2 months having read every page. It is a bit of relief to know the quality has gone up but still plenty of issues i hear from 2012 models too. I currently own a P200 Dts-i & have never faced any issue with the bike. But sadly it looks like Honda's suffering from big time quality issue. I went for a test drive at Saffire Honda & the test vehicle's key ignition refused to unlock the handle. After a big struggle for almost 15 mins they managed to somehow unlock & ignite. Btw, that's one ugliest looking key i have come across. I am still thinking should i book or not, though i am totally in love with the baby ceebee.

                      PS. Sorry for being OT.

                        Hi,

If Saffire Honda your are talking about in Bangalore, then just come over to Silicon Honda, they are the best, I just now booked a CBR 250R red and will be getting the bike tomorrow. I just now payed the full money and thoroughly checked the bike which was with them and moreover they have a very good customer care and have kept a separate person for CBR alone, so that he can address each customer properly and I was really happy with the way the salesperson who by the way was more eager to get me the bike than myself since according to them (don't know about other dealers) they want the customer to first come and see or inspect the bike and only then will they send it to registration and I made a thorough check of the bike taking a look at each and every part....only thing needed is when taking delivery tomorrow need to check all the electricals and mechanical bits. The best part I liked about this showroom is when I inquired with all other showrooms in Bangalore, nobody was ready to give me the CBR within a week, most of them actually said there was still a waiting period around 2 to 3 months, and I was shocked Silicon guys gave the bike within 3 days...and that too since it was red as it had to come from the factory, but black was readily available. Today, when I finished the paperwork, to my surprise, I even got a Paddock stand worth 3500/- as complement along with the Teflon coating (even though least bothered about that)....the experience I got from this dealer was really fantastic....I mean the way they explain not just about the bike, but make you feel that you are not going to be treated just like another Unicorn, Activa or any other Honda vehicle as they have even a separate service bay for CBR. Even when I test rode many of the vehicles from different showrooms including Silicon's, they were a bit crude or either the gearbox was a bit hard, but everywhere they said the same and I too agree on that as different people with different style would have test rode the bike and obviously it would have gone such hardships....so what I say to you is come down to Silicon, contact Mr. Chandrashekar in charge for CBR sales and have a test ride, their bike is actually in very good condition and I am sure your doubts will be silenced. Tomorrow after taking delivery will be posting the pictures of Ceeber!!!

                        • Hello,

Thank you so much kanthf1, for the guidance & sharing your experience. Silicon Honda it is then tomorrow. Your brief description has given me a big sense of relief. Yes the experience with Saffire was not at all great. It was prompt but explained nothing. Saffire told me abt 15-20 days for the delivery of red Cbr.

Glad to be of help......hope your doubts get cleared....but remember one thing, there is nothing in the world called the perfect bike or car...every machine has its own sets of problems or issues.......and with every other bike comes a positive as well as negative review, which you have to be prepared for.....

Rim tapes are of original honda brand and had the similar package like all the honda spares. I forgot to note the part number. It was for 287/- only and the seat cover was for just 200 bucks... The fitting of seat covers is average and the quality of the material is also ok.
can you post the pics of the RIM tapes dude.

                              • Congratulations bro.. All the very best. Have a great time your new ride. Ride safe..

Yep, nothing is perfect & i don't expect either. whats put me in thoughts is when few of the riders faced ignitions issues & had to shell out 10k because it is not covered under warranty. That comes as a blow atleast during the standard warranty of the bike. Else i'm prepared for little hassles here and there. Thats a part & parcel of everything..
