      • In Trivandrum, Kerala no new cbr250r is coming to any of the 3 dealers. So they are not even taking any commitments or bookings from potential buyers for this product

        • Honda CBR 250R Color Confusion!!

          Hi guys!!

I just now booked the baby Ceeber and immediately was in a dilemma as to whether which color to choose. My mind says go for the black as its less eye catching and its simple, but once I see the red, my heart says to go for it as it is an attention grabber, but I kind of want from both the worlds, i.e., less attention as well as should be attractive at the same time....Guys please help me out...I have told the dealer that I would be making up the decision about the color in a day.

My bike was also having the same problem of rattling from the console area. Just go to the asc and ask them to rectify the issue. The rattling from my bike is completely gone.
Will post the pics in a couple of days... Also, did you get the console rattling rectified from Rajindra's ASC in Shahdara - what is the feedback on that service center - do they have a good mechanic for CBR (if so, his name please) and a separate bay? It is a bit far from my place but I will go there if you recommend it to be good...
Also, what did the ASC do to solve the rattling issue - I may need the details in case I go to get it done

Press what? The console? It needs to be PROPERLY attended by a COMPETENT mechanic to adjust the fairings OR worst case put up double sided sticky tapes.
Yes, it goes away when I press the console... And only comes at lower rpm. Will get it looked at probably during first service.

Ofcourse I use mainly the front - been doing that since I got the CBZ. It was mainly an observation - when rear brake is required, I feel it needs too strong a push to evoke some response...

Sure then how come you asked the above question?
Oops - soory - I seem to have missed/forgotten that - time for a revision

Also, my bike's right handlebar's bar-end weight seems to have gotten broken somehow - no idea how it happened - probably someone bumped it in parking . I see a threaded tube inside it now (will post a pic over the weekend) - any idea if just the weight needs to be replaced or will a bigger part need to be replaced? And any idea about the cost for this?

            • I changed my front tyre with PSD 110/70-17 today. Tried hard breaking few times and the grip is much better. 140/70-17 and above was out of stock although the guy took my number and told me that they well get the stock in a week.

Yes i got it rectified from them but only i diagnosed the issue and guided them. The name of the mechanic is Subhash and u can take my name (Vasant Sharma- the guy with the first Cbr250r). I dont have much clue about what he did but he took almost half of the day. He had to open the whole console area. The rattling issue was completely gone.. Btw you are from which part of Delhi and when are you planning to visit asc because i am visiting them tomorrow. I can come along with you. And yes they have a seperate bay for Cbr but dont expect something great. The asc is good but not excellent.

I had got done my 1st service a week back at Absolute Honda, Mahipalpur. Though I was allowed to be there while the bike was getting serviced but the mecahnic was persistant that I should waitr in the lounge. I wasnt very happy about the servicing. While lubing the chain, the mechanic did not even clean the chain off water and directly appliyed the lube. Even after I insisted to do so, he replied this is how rest of the CBR;s had been done.

I complained the same to the owner of the showroom and he promised to give a feedback to the guy and next service would be fine. Though the owner himself is a bike enthusiast, there is a chance of improvement for the mechanics.

Fully agree on this, though of late I am also contemplating to change over to PSD, both front n rear.

                      • A small news. A tyre dealer in karol bagh told me that Honda is dumping Continental and Irc Road winner will come factory fitted starting in about 2 months time.

The technique is to 'squeeze' the lever progressively, do not ever just grab it and pull it in.. i was wondering how to put this across & i came across this How to use your motorcycle's brakes excellent article ! I am not sure if something similar was posted on xbhp earlier, maybe it was

Congrats, Conti is never a match to PSD and keep us posted if any info regarding the PSD rear

BLACK is the only good colour. Other colors sucks. Buy only black. Jokes apart. Whatever the colour is welcome to the CBR family...

                              • The engine rattling noise in the band of 3k to 4k RPM has worsen from past few days hence I've decided to visit nearest ASC to consult a CBR mechanic to get his views on this issue. Is it quiet a common issue with CBR250Rs made in India ?
