After reading last 4-5 posts i cannot stop to express my views . I am having exact same issues + some new kind mentioned below -

-When bike is in rain or washed i don,t know what gets corroded and when i turn ignition on no response is there from fuel pump (may be some wiring contacts in kill switch had gone wrong , Toggling kill switch few times sound comes (may be faulty kill switch) ) (kill switch then set to DIRECT)(Start up got fine but again issue persists when it not ignited again , then removed the GRAY connector on engine CYLINDER , When removed Radiator fan gets on , When reinserted it goes off , Next ignition is set to on , Fuel pump sound comes , Self pressed at last bike starts )(Also checked all the battery wired cleaned all connectors )(What more an normal person do)

-Horns and its relay act weird after washing of bike (may be the horn switch does not contact properly)(Relay Cleaned with sand paper and horns sound good)(but after last wash again no sound , Button pressed regularly while in speed sound come out in small packets like not getting full current )(Next step will change relay).

    - Bike luges (often problem with this bike )(i remove all the fuse battery wires reinsert them , Problem temporarily rests)

    - Tail light , indicators fail to indicate ( checked fuse its fine but when the indicator are already on and key is set to on and off again and again the one of indicator just blinks once then nothing happens , all indicator bulbs are OK)

-I get tired and pissed keep bike aside Drive my Civic.

Please we should all raise a complaint against Honda , even ASC are not able to rectify this they just give me bike in a start condition but issues still persists
it feels that i did a big mistake buying Cbr250r initially in Jalandhar (Punjab) . Every one must wait for few reviews when new products comes in market

AARGEE does this same issue is faced by you too ?? Can you put little light here

If the relay has been cleaned with sand paper by the ASC give them a written complaint, normally the relay contacts are made of a superior conductor (silver) or have a silver coating if this is sandpapered dont expect it to work for long. It would be acceptable for a road side mechanic to sandpaper it not the ASC. The moment you give it in writting they will voluntrarly offer to change it. (I was however not aware that the horn is operated through a relay)

The attitude of my ASC here in Mumbai is to do patch up jobs till the vehicle is in warranty, subsequent to that they will change parts at double the pace. I have kept a copy of all the job cards where in the same problem has been mentioned over & over again, I'mm sure post warranty they will ask to change the part, thats when our previous record comes to our aid.

My vehicle is 8500Kms/1yr however I do only have a cone set issue ( from day one till current) and am very happy with the overall performance of the bike, the ABS is great.

I am suffering from this for 2 months now!! My tyres goes flat within a day ( stops at 10psi and goes flat by next day) Been to tons of tyre repair shops but of no use. None of them could find a punchure. Dunno what to do. Any suggestions?

        • your valve must be leaking. You might have to change the tyre. Do check the valve. I dont think its a puncture.

              Delivery its tomorrow afternoon.....waiting....

Guys continuing from where I left. (sorry for the hibernation though...)

I reached the showroom at 3 after office and found my baby parked on the work bench, all fairing on and shining.
Thought must have finished working just now and was feeling happy that the wksp has stuck well to time given. Then went to the supervisor to check and to my horror ...:banghead: it was not even opened. I literally lost my cool and straight went to the service Centre head and blasted him and the effect was they immoderately started working on her. All went well till opening her up, then suddenly no one was attending the bike.

When I tried to find out what happened (it was a painful experience as the mechanic doesn't know any language other than Tamil and I am zilch in Tamil) I felt he is not sure how to use a micrometer....:banghead: ...I felt what the hell. I somehow explained him I will measure the shim thickness and asked him to take measurement of the existing gap and that moron without thinking anything opened up the camshaft without measuring the valve clearance, I was feeling like what the hell....this is how they repair or bikes..and to my horror mixed up all the shims too, I didn't know what to do, I was simply going mad.

Then went back again to the manager, who turned out to be a sensible guys n understood the whole thing. After his intervention the camshaft was put back again, valve clearances measured. All this while I was thinking at last they are doing it ok, but surprise was yet to be over for me...
After the clearances were measured again the mechanic vanished along with the supervisor and when I started asking what happened, realized neither of them knew how to calculate the new shim thickness....:banghead:

This is the point I understood why they were reluctant to do the job. Then I took thing on my own, asked for the service manual checked the procedure, which was obviously same as I had read on the internet and the shim thicknesses were calculated, but by then it was seven in the evening, so I left after assurance from the workshop manager that he will personally supervise the fitment in the morning.

I told them not to close the head cover after fitting the shims back as I had lost all my faith in them and wanted to measure the final clearances myself, which they agreed reluctantly.
So next day again I was there after office and after confirming the clearnces are as per limit they got the tank, fairing etc fitted and took delivery of the bike.

She is now back to her normal self, peppy and smooth. A big relief finally.
But a big learning and I promised to myself I am not giving her again for shim change to the SVC, I will do it myself and I am soon buying a micrometer and a feeler gauge set. Guys believe me shim change is such a simple thing one has to see it to believe it but it can make or break the engine and even small miscalculation can ruin the whole experience of riding such a lovely bike.

This is a sincere request be sure of the SVC guys before handing over your bikes.

the head of the engine was just opened, there were two things found
1- the valve clearance is approx .01-.02 gap is there, they are saying up to .02 difference clearance is ok, i want to know what the exact thing is ? is it true what they are saying ?

2- and this was the most important thing they found, the camshaft has a patch of small scratches over them, they said they will replace that under warranty along with the rocker but stock is not available, so here i need your help, i am writing down the part number. please if anybody going to service station inquire about them and give me a call or send me a message if u find them there, please that's a request,

the part number are 14110 KYJ- 900 -camshaft
                14430 KYJ- 710 -rocker

please anybody if finding them then let me know, its very urgent

It would help if you can tell me the name of the CBR mechanic there. Also, do we need to book a day in advance for servicing and what's a good time to reach there in morning?

                      • I have my first service this month. Besides the oil and filter change, anything else I need to pay special attention to? This is my first FI bike. People talk of something called valve clearance checks? Important?

Mine is leaking for the last 1 year. The leak is happening from the jn. of tyre and rim360 degrees.Buy 2 pouches of hair shampoo.smear it around the rim jn.and apply little water you can see bubbles all round. cleaning the rim and painting the inside can help or try a change of tyre.I have run 20 k in the last one year another 15 k i am expecting so purchased a foot pump and daily morning I pump air full and go.

My bike is just 3 months and 3500kms old. Can this be covered under warranty? I am going to take the tyre out completely out of the rim and put it back.

As shims are available in sizes increasing/decreasing by 0.025mm the tolerance could be within +/- 0.02mm however the workshop manual says it could be +/- 0.03mm.

Be present when your shims are being replaced & check the final clearances with the feeler gauge after the job has been done. If you are a DIY guy take back the old shims with you, you could probably use them at a later date.

Dont do any thing by your self .Go to ASC file acomplaint tell them the rim is not in shape and so leaking. In a similar case Blogging wheels a hunk owner had a fight with hero moto and got his wheels and tire changed and he has reported in the forum.
