Joining you with full heart in this request, especially the boys of today they use these machines to show off. They are mentally immature and ride in a dream world, possessed by their experiences of computer games of bike riding. In a computer game after an accident you can get up and continue riding but in actual life.Let every body remember what happened to Former Cricketer Azzar's son.

Hi Vasant - Yes I did go to Rajinda Honda and I did give your reference to Subhash (the mechanic). Yes, I have the HRC color. Had to wait for about 4 hours to get the service started inspite of booking a day in advance and reaching on time (I was given 11:30 time) - I guess having a single mechanic to service CBR (150 and 250) leads to that (and the fact that it was Sunday) - Honda definately needs to open more 'CBR-only' service stations...

A brief feedback for benefit of others:
ASC : Rajindra Honda, Jhilmil Industrial Area (near Shahdara), Delhi. Mechanic : Subhash
Did not get the bike washed and Subhash said that valve clearance sounds okay so no need to check that for now. They used Motul chain cleaner and lube and charges Rs. 200 as labour for that - not sure if that's what happens at other service centers for the 1st service.. Had to show meter vibration noise and water condensation in headlight problem to the Customer Relationship Manager (Mr. Pandey) as Subhash was not ready to open the fairing and take off the headlight (although it was about 4:45) saying that this job would not get finished today. When Mr. Pandey and I insisted (after all they had wasted 4 hours without even touching the bike), then Subhash did open up the fairing and headlight. I finally got the bike around 6:15. Total cost of 1st service : Rs. 1260.

My odo reading was around 600kms at service time. The bike does feel smoother after service but unfortunately I seem to have encountered the 'BB in a tin can' rattle issue that people have reported in various forums - it seems to start from 5500 rpm and continues after that. It was probably there before service and I started hearing it more when I bought the new helmet (which helps cut out the wind noise so engine and other bike noise are more audible). Does not seem to be from engine or valve clearance related - when I rev the engine at standstill, this noise is not present - all I hear is a slight tick-tick valve noise but it is present in all gears while riding and really irritation at arounf 7000 rpm. People have reported it as being due to footpeg washers or PAIR valve.
Any feedback on this - has anyone here encountered this and found the source? I plan to visit the workshop again in another 300 kms - probably on a weekday this time - so that mechanic can devote more time and attention to figuring out the problem...

Vasant - Subhash was telling me that you did get the clearance adjusted at around 3000 kms - was he competent enought in checking and calculating the right shim size??

This has turned out to be a long mail so please excuse any typos...

Yes i got that adjusted at about 4-5k not 3k. I am not sure if he used the correct procedure to measure and adjust because i was not present there during the procedure although the issue was resolved.

              • Hi fellow bikers,When ever my bike crosses 3k rpm no matter in which gear I get a metallic tingling sound somewhere from the speedometerI went to the ACS twice but they are unable to fnd the problem, they tell me that its coming from yhr engine and its normal, but wen i hit a bump the noise increases, has anyone faced a similar problem???Should i tell the acs guys to open thr front fairing and take out the instrument cluster to check if the noise is coming from there????

                    • CBR250R- Second hand

                      Hello bike enthusiasts.
A guy in our locality is selling his CBR 250R (non ABS) for 1.3 lakhs.
                      It has clocked 11,000 km.
Around 7- 8 services. He says only regular oil and filter changes.
                      few scratches on the bike.

The bike was purchased last year in the month of August.
                      Its black in color.
Having a test drive this wednesday..

Need your valuable inputs to negotiate when I meet the guy.

                      Thank you for your time.

don't know why but i feel, bike is 1.1yrs old with 11000kms done that means averagely bike ran 900-1k per month. I am thinking how come his all (7-8)service is done with in a yr with only 11k ??

But i feel you can negotiate to 1L

                            • Now i think it's some kind of issue bike, else why would he go to SVC more than it's normal SVC schedule ?? for small niggles we don't say 7-8 servicing over!!
