Don't know but I have feeling that it will increase the weight of already weighty exhaust.
I have seen a CBR with Duke 250 exhaust in Instagram. I was interested in it as it was looking better than stock exhaust & may be lighter than it.

You can use stainless steel pipes the hollow ones it wont increase weight and no more scratches on exhaust

I washed my cbr 250r by removing both seats and also all the plastic body.
I washed it with 3M shampoo and water but I have not still started my bike because in between the washing I realized can water enter through any of the areas to the engine like air filter or any other area from where it can damage the engine.
Please guide me what should i do?
Should I start the bike or should i first tow it to a mechanic

If you have the air filter cover in place, it shouldn't be a problem AFAIK.

I'm saying this with reference to the last time I serviced CBR250R at Vihaan Honda, Thane (January 2020), the mechanic (specifically for CBR) opened both the seats and then washed the bike, which I hope he knew what he was doing.

I had clicked photos of the wash just in case I need to show it later (paranoia) but she hasn't showed any signs of any issues after that.

Of course, more knowledge people will guide you better, but I didn't face any issue with normal jet wash (not shampooed).

Normally there are two inlets for water to get into system in most modern bikes. One is the Petrol tank cap, and the other is the Air intake.
If the Petrol tank cap is properly sealed and the drain pipe is not blocked, then it is not an issue.
Secondly the Air Intake . If water does not come up to it while riding through flooded water condition, or pressure wash hose is directed near it, water ingress is rare through Air Intake. To find out look at the oil color through Level window. If you see discoloration with soapy or whitish mix in it, then water had entered the engine. If so Drain the oil immediately and let it all come out by keeping the drain open for 15 minutes. Then apply Air pressure from the Filler hole to blow away the remaining oil/water from the crank case. Fit the drain bolt with NEW CRUSH WASHER and tighten to spec. fill oil and you are good to go.
            Good Luck.

                    • Honda CBR 250R mods

Hi Folks, Im planning to buy a used CBR250r and do the following to use it as a tourer with upright riding position

                      1. Remove fairing kits and use it as naked
                      2. Replace clip-ons with regular wide handlebars with a handlebar raiser. How good will this seating geometry be considering that my height is 5'9"
Will the front heavy CBR be any better with the above handlebar setup?
                      3. Can i fit the current Gixxer's LED headlight assembly or any-other?
                      4. Any Option to increase the front fork height?

                      TIA

With the new MV act which is against modifications and considering the potential costs and that the CBR 250R is a dead product, stick to a gixxer 250 or a fz 250 for the project, similar power and ride quality with a more practical aircooled engine.

Hello Sam ji, how's you! Been a while. Hope things are S&S out there.

Hopefully, I can add a couple of pointers and my thought with the bike -- in their chronological order.

                          1. Remove fairing kits and use it as naked.
                          One word. No. Don't. Period.

                          2. Replace clip-ons with regular wide handlebars with a handlebar raiser. How good will this seating geometry be considering that my height is 5'9"
Yes, this trick works well. Pulsar and Duke handlebars work well and offer relaxed riding stance. They being wide, offer great leverage. The CBR by its inherent design has a neutral stance. The stance is neither committed not slouch. The perfect blend of posture and position. Sports tourer, apt.

2.(a) Will the front heavy CBR be any better with the above handlebar setup?

Yup, the bike behaves perfectly fine with this handlebar setup. It just takes a little time to get used to, in the sense the wide bars, give you excellent leverage.

                          3. Can i fit the current Gixxer's LED headlight assembly or any-other?
You can fit the newer gen CBR 250's LED assembly, with some modifications, as far as I've come across. But, FWIW, no point spending thousands on this LED light setup. I'd recommend you get yourself a good H4 LED led bulb or add another pair of aux like MadDog. Makes lighting a dream.

                          4. Any Option to increase the front fork height?

Was it necessary? The CBR has a soft sprung front forks. You can opt for thicker grade fork oil, i.e. 20w which makes the front end stiffer and give you even better feedback.

                          Hope it was helpful.

                          Good luck.

                          Cheers!

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
                          The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

                          THE END

Do i have to change the whole unit or can i tell him to replace the main and mini kit of the calibers and will work properly?

Guys! Posting after a long time for a quick info. What is the current price of ABS Brake Pads? My friend recent got the front and rear set for less than 3K which I believe is the price for non-ABS. I remember changing brake pads couple of years ago and it was 4K for both. And lastly, what complications might he face if the ABS model is using non-ABS brake pads?
