Thanks a lot Krishna for your quick response. May be it's a loose connection of the electric wires as once I can start the machine, the bike is behaving perfectly for the next 15 days and all of a sudden it happened again !!!

Hi, folks got a cbr250r last month and done 1800km on it. Last week I did a 150 km ride on it while raining and as usual it got damn dirty all-over. After a 2 hr cool down, rinsed the bike with water, surprisingly I felt the tank part(Place where tank pads are fixed)warm even after repeated splashings. If it's an issue please help me out.

When I pressed the start button, there was a krrrrr... krrrr.. sound, probably from the fuel injection set up (my guess) and the information in the console became faded with each push in the start switch....it happened for several attempts. In some attempts it felt like the bike is completely dead, no response from anywhere . After like 10 minutes and many such attempts it came back to life when tried with half clutch. After that again the bike behaves very normally. The bike is running for around 14K kms. And I do all the services very diligently.

Guys, I am bit worried about her as in another two months I am planning for a 3K ride and I hope nothing serious happened to her. Can you please put some light on the probable issues?

Thanks B7ACKTHORN...guys,the svc changed gasket of both cyclinder and block. After changing they found the oil to come out from the air hole beneath the exhaust port. The svc guys contacted the Honda engineer, he said look for if there is any damage to the oil ring. The svc guys checked it and found it to be alright. They say it's a manufacturing defect in the cyclinder and the part to be likely replaced. But guys mine is a brand new cbr 250 coverd 1267 kms on the motorcycle. I further lodged a complaint on their customer care, and I still didn't receive a call from the concerned authorities regarding this issue. Guys could u help me out,here..?? I want a new engine as it already been opened 3 times and now they say it's a manufacturing defect related to porocity of the material. God knows what else could be the problem in the engine, if we go by this they might just keep changing parts. I further want to push for a new engine as we all know factory settings are factory, the settings cannot be achieved at the svc. Please help.
Thanks in advance

My clutch lever broke after a fall, and I had to get one of these local 60₹ lever. Are these OK to use or should I pick up a pair of OEM levers asap? Any idea of the cost?

Can you post a pic from longer shot, i checked mine and there no spot like that under storage area or the battery compartment.

But it looks like broken off, but little too cleanly to identify.

As it's just beneath the battery, place a rubber mat kind(like the thing that is available over the engine cylinder), this will reduce the mud/water splash inside the battery compartment.

HI,

I understand you are furious about the issue but lets take few things into consideration.
First your RC is registered with engine and chassis number so swapping the engine woudn't be possible untill unless its completely not working.
Second opening engine doesn't mean its bad you can say factory settings are factory but nowadays SVC's are well equipped to handle these jobs.
What you can do at this point is try another SVC if possible make sure you have talk with mechanic and manager together about the issue if that's not an option talk to current SVC manager and also call Honda once and explain issue ask them to send an engineer to figure out the issue but always talk to them in very cool manner and have good rapo.
Also try international forums like CBR250.net and CBR250.com see if you can find anything there.

Regards,
Mohan

Hi,

Its completely normal you will feel the heat under tank as the heat vapors get trapped there and also you will be facing same issue when you are in traffic stop in rain . And there's no need to repeated splashing water .

Regards,
Mohan

That is the design of the plastic cover which has projection inside, but there is no hole.

Attaching the pic i took by morning for your reference, but the plastic is covered full of mud duetting recent rain , if required I will post one more after I clean it.

The inward projection in the right is in triangle shape and other 2 r somewat square.

In The Year 1989 Enfield Had Launched A New Bike Named Fury It Was Double Cylinder Engine With Disk Breaks In The Front. But The Problem Was Not Solved My Uncle Had Tried To Cooperate With The Company Tried All The Things Like Send The Bike To Chennai From Mumbai And What Not. Finally He Filed A Case In The Consumer Court And He Was Given 2 350cc And 1lc Cash As A Mutual Consent And The Matter Was Setteled Out of The Court.

So Moral Of The Story Get Hold Of A Nice Advocate Send The Company A Notice Either Change My Bike Or Compensate Me For All The Burden I Have Been Through Only Then Things Will Move As Per Your Choice...

Hello riders,

I got a used 2011 CBR 250R (ABS) about a month back and I've recently noticed a strange sound coming from the engine. The engine starts up as normal and there is no engine warning light as well. There is nothing unusual while riding it for the first few minutes. But after riding it for about 5-10 mins, the weird noise starts up and it's between a certain rpm range (2500-4000, I think) where it is most audible. The sound is sort of the sound that comes when an exhaust is blown. its never as loud and I think the problem only arises when the engine warms up, hence the above riding time of 5-10 mins. I don't want to make any guesses but it sounds like the rocker arm. I'm still very much unaware of the mechanicals of the bike and was wondering if someone can help me out.

I has serviced the bike about a week back and i didn't notice the sound then. Most probably because I wasn't paying attention to it.

I was wondering if someone had or has the same issue and enlighten me on the source and remedy of it. And also if someone can suggest me a good mechanic in Pune who can deal with this issue. I'd prefer someone who has had a personal experience with the mechanic themselves.

Thanks all

Hi Guys, need your guidance on the full fairing change on my CBR. I had a minor crash and the right side fairing is cracked at the few places, also the front visor was already broken. I am planning to take it to the service centre here in Ahmedabad - Punjab Honda and getting the entire fairing changed - left, right and the visor - under insurance.

Do you guys think that this is the best thing to do?
