BTW will there be any difficulty in getting spares after 3years or so, if it is discontinued? Especially the fairing? Since different color combinations are being launched each year.

Re: Honda CBR 250R
just a quick query.
i have changed my front tyre to zapper fy this week.
now both rear and front are zappers.
yesterday i went on a ride and noticed that there's some wobbling of handle at around 70kmph .
also when i tested it by leaving handle on an empty road, i found that bike is swaying to right side..
after inspecting the newly installed zapper i noticed that yellow mark on tyre is not on opposite side of valve.
whats your advice guys?
could this be the reason for all those issues.
or should i get my forks checked.?
ps bike has not faced any crash or somethingBurn the rubber, they said

Tyre takes time to break in.
Do some 200-300 kms n then checkLive To Ride✌

P.S - I do NOT own a CBR.Originally posted by RedWingRider View Postafter inspecting the newly installed zapper i noticed that yellow mark on tyre is not on opposite side of valve.
If by the yellow mark not being on the opposite side of the valve, you mean to say - the tire has been fit in the opposite direction than it should have been; then YES it is an issue. Get it corrected ASAP.
Moreover, a new tire never causes swaying at 70ish speeds, or any kind of speed for that matter. Maybe the tire hasn't seated with the rims properly. Maybe the tire pressure is a bit too much. A new tire may grip less for the first few 100 km, but not cause the above mentioned issues.Got a $5 head? Get a $5 helmet.

but i read this thing here in this thread that there's a heavy point of tyre marked by dots on sidewall which needs to be aligned with valve stem for proper balancing of weight of tyres .
now i am suspecting more on a workout coneset for swaying of bike because there is khat khat noise.
right bhai. you got me.Originally posted by arvstreetracer View PostThe yellow dot/mark should be aligned to valve stem. I changed my rear tyre and made sure the yellow dot is aligned to valve stem. There is no such issue of wobble, rode up to 130 kmph.
actually i wanted to ask the same thing.

CBR 250R fuel cap issue
I have a 3 month old CBR 250R. While taking the delivery, I noticed that there's a gap between the fuel tank & the fuel cap. I asked the showroom guys & they told me that it's in all CBRs. He showed me the gap in another 250R & 150R as well. I was OK. I noticed that the dust is getting collected on the outside of fuel tank where the fuel cap fits. The fuel cap fits in very snuggly & a click is heard when it's put back in. However I m not satisfied & I visited couple of other Honda dealers as well & saw the same gap in other CBRs as well. I am a little worried that dust might be getting into the fuel tank.
Please advise if this gap is normal for all CBRs or is a manufacturing defect in all. Or should I replace the fuel cap with an after market fuel cap that leaves no gap & there's no chance for dust to accumulate.
Thanks

Learnt something new today. So in a CBR250R, are external weights never required for balancing?Originally posted by arvstreetracer View PostThe yellow dot/mark should be aligned to valve stem. There's nothing to worry about its perfectly normal there's always gap between fuel cap and tank.
Just clean it with cloth if you are worried about dust, no need to replace the fuel cap.

Re: Honda CBR 250R
That is not completly true, and nothing specific to CBR either. When this practice is followed the wheel imbalance is minimised and not completly removed.Originally posted by Divya Sharan View PostLearnt something new today. So in a CBR250R, are external weights never required for balancing?
If at all any weight is required for wheel balancing, it only needs least amount of weight to balance it.

Re: CBR 250R fuel cap issue
It's okay. Make a habit of cleaning it in timely fashion. No guarantee that aftermarket lid would not let dirt accumulated around orifice.Originally posted by zeeshan300975 View PostI have a 3 month old CBR 250R. Got the tyre changed at MRF Tyre House, all by a tyre changer machine. I was told by them that balancing was not needed.Originally posted by Divya Sharan View PostLearnt something new today. So in a CBR250R, are external weights never required for balancing?-----

Re: CBR 250R fuel cap issue
Yes that gap is normal but do ensure you keep that portion clean and not let the outlet get clogged. I faced an issue with this. The bike was left unused for a while and the outlet got clogged. Right after I took the bike out for a spin it started raining which caused water to get into the gap but due to the clogged outlet the water just remained there which was a huuuge worry while filling up.Originally posted by zeeshan300975 View PostI have a 3 month old CBR 250R. Re: Honda CBR 250R
Hi All,
So this is the pick of under the seat from bottom and there's a hole which is exposing battery.
Today my battery died so when I opened the the battery's bottom part was covered in mud.
Is there anything like a cover missing there because that whole doesn't seem to be a crack/broken or anything it seems like it's supposed to be there.
There's no CBR near by my office and house so couldn't verify myself.

Re: Honda CBR 250R
Hi friends, I am facing a problem with my 2013 CRB 250 and need your guidance about what may be the issue . It happened twice in last one month, both the cases after ridding her for 15-20 minutes I stopped in traffic signal, switching her off by using the engine kill switch and when tried to start her she refused to start. When I pressed the start button, there was a krrrrr... krrrr.. sound, probably from the fuel injection set up (my guess) and the information in the console became faded with each push in the start switch....it happened for several attempts. In some attempts it felt like the bike is completely dead, no response from anywhere . After like 10 minutes and many such attempts it came back to life when tried with half clutch. After that again the bike behaves very normally. The bike is running for around 14K kms. And I do all the services very diligently.
Guys, I am bit worried about her as in another two months I am planning for a 3K ride and I hope nothing serious happened to her. Can you please put some light on the probable issues?
